Raptor XL500 Cone Crushers
2 Raptor XL500 Site flexibility, heavy-duty reliability, advanced crushing action for greater productivity... Our versatile Raptor XL500 cone crushers provide excellent secondary crushing capabilities due to a larger feed opening, significant eccentric throw and high-pivot-point crushing action. Built for a lifetime of service, with major components of heavy-duty high grade steel, these machines are backed by the kind of responsive service and support you deserve from a team of professionals with 100+ years of combined crusher experience. Greater Productivity, Higher Quality Materials Because of its large head diameter of 59.06 inches (1.5 m) and ideal eccentric motion, the XL500 Cone Crusher can accept feed that is up to 25 percent larger than can be accepted by competitive cones with less throw or similar head diameter, while producing more material of desired cubicity and gradation. With a maximum diameter of 148 inches (3.75 m) and weight of 110,833 lbs. (50,274 kg), the crusher s size allows flexibility for multi-site crushing opportunities. Superior Bronze Bearing Technology Raptor Cones utilize custom engineered bronze sleeve bearings for all internal moving load bearing or load transmission components. Countershaft Bushings, Thrust Bearings, Head and Eccentric Bushings, and Socket Liners are designed for superior performance. Long Life Eccentric and Bevel Gearing Eccentric surface finish is critical to bearing longevity under highperformance crushing conditions, and the XL500 Cone s advanced eccentric is a high-strength, ductile iron casting. Curved spiral-bevel gearing helps to transmit loads without shock or sudden impact on the teeth, decreasing noise and vibration while increasing gear and bearing life. All FLSmidth cones are manufactured with matched pinion and gears, allowing replacement of either gear or pinion without changing the mating piece. Integral Countershaft Assembly The Raptor XL500 Cone is built with a rigid three-arm frame and integral countershaft box mounted inside one of its three arms. The counterweight assembly, with bolt-on guard, is enclosed as well and features replaceable non-contacting dust seals. Because the countershaft box inserts into the main frame arm, maintenance time is reduced, reliability of gear and pinion are improved, and backlash adjustment is simplified. Double Acting Tramp Release and Clearing Cylinders (patent pending) The crusher employs fail safe hydraulics through an internal relief valve within the double-acting tramp release and clearing cylinders. This feature combines two cylinders into one, and the hanging design reduces stress in the main frame lower flange. Clamping pressure and clearing action in a tramp event ensures protection from mechanical overload through bypass relief. The relief valve protects the hydraulic cylinders should the bladder in the accumulator fail. An additional safety feature standard on all Raptor cones is the counterclockwise rotation crushing action that protects the machine if adjustment ring movement is excessive, or if the ring gear brake fails. Automation Advanced overload sensing technology detects crushing force overload. A simple alarm is activated, or the system can be automated to take corrective action. This same advanced automation system can be used to optimize crusher performance, with feed control, setting adjustment and monitoring of all critical lubrication and hydraulic parameters.
