Pneumatic Fluid Power Systems Sectional Committee, PE 16 NATONAL FOREWORD This ndian Standard which is identical with S0 6430 : 1992 Pneumatic fluid power - Single rod cylinders, 1 000 kpa (O bar) series, with integral mountings, bores from 32 mm to 250 mm - Mounting dimensions, issued by the nternational Organization for Standardization (SO), was adopted by the Bureau of ndian Standards on the recommendation of the Pneumatic Fluid Power Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Production Engineering Division Council. This standard was first issued in 1988 and was based on S0 6430 : 1983. Consequent upon the revision of S0 standard, this revision has been taken up by adopting S0 6430 : 1992 to bring it in line with latest S0 standard. The text of the S0 standard has been approved as suitable for publication as ndian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in ndian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following : a) Comma (,) has been used a? a decimal marker while in ndian Standards, the current practice is to use point (.) as the decimal marker. b) Wherever the words nternational Standard appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ndian Standard. CROSS AEFERENCES n the adopted standard, reference appears to certain nternational Standards for which ndian Standards also exist. The corresponding ndian Standards which are to be substituted in their place are listed below along with their degree of equivalence for the editions indicated : nternational Standard Corresponding Standard ndian Degree of Correspondence S0 228-l : 1982 Pipe thread where pressure tight joints are not made on the threads - Part 1 : Designation, dimensions and tolerances S 2643 : 1975 Dimensions for pipe threads for fastening purposes (first revision) : Part 1 Basic profile and dimensions Part 2 Tolerances Pat-l 3 Limits of sizes Technically equivalent S0 4393 : 1978 Fluid power system S 10411 : 1983 Recommendaand components - Cylinders - Basic tions for nominal strokes for fluid series of piston strokes power cylinders do S0 4395 : 1978 Fluid power systems and components - Cylinders - Piston rod thread dimensions and types S0 5598 : 1985 Fluid power systems and components - Vocabulary S 13533 : 1992 Fluid power cylinders - Piston rod thread dimensions and types S 10416 : 1992 Fluid power systems and components - Vocabulary (first revision) dentical do (Continued on thwd cover}

ndian Standard PNEUMATC FLUD POWER -SNGLE ROD CYLNDERS; 1 000 kpa (O bar) SERES, WTH NTEGRAL MOUNTNGS, BORES FROM 32 mm to 250 mm -MOUNTNG DMENSONS ( First Revision) S 12738: 1995 S0 6430 : 1992 1 scope This nternational Standard establishes a metric series of mounting dimensions required for interchangeability of commonly used pneumatic cylinders for a maximum working pressure of 1 000 kpa (10 bar) ). t applies to pneumatic cylinders with integral mountings. NOTES 1 This nternational Standard allows manufacturers of pneumatic equipment freedom of design in metric cylinders and does not restrict technical development but provides basic guidelines. 2 S0 6431 deals with cylinders for which mountings can be detached from the main body of the device without dismantling it. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this nternational Standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this nternational Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below. Members of EC and S0 maintain registers of currently valid nternational Standards. S0 228-1:1982.
