Lumen and lux what, actually, is the difference? Lumen (lm) is the total visible luminous flux of a light source. Lux (lx), on the other hand, describes the intensity of illumination and thus the brightness over a one meter square area. lm The more a light source spreads the light, the worse the relationship between lumen and lux. Since the bundled light in LEDs shines in the desired direction, their lumen and lux relationship is better than that of traditional light sources. 1 m 2 lx = lm/m 2 What colour is what temperature? Kelvin. Light colour. Warm white, neutral white and daylight white LEDs. What does it really mean? And why do colour tones have a temperature? Light is given out in various colour tones. These are not multi-coloured lights, but are rather slight variations a lighting effect. As a result, each different colour has a different colour temperature which is indicated in Kelvin. The higher the colour temperature, the cooler the light. Warmer, "cosier" light colours are up to 3300 Kelvin. Neutral light colours such as those typically used in offices are from 3300 to 5300 Kelvin. Daylight lamps usually used in production halls start from 5300 Kelvin.
