ANNEXURE XII Sr. No Technical Particulars Confirmation to be given by bidder (Please strike out which ever not applicable) 1 Scope:- The scope of Stationary type Alkaline Storage Battery for 125 Volts, 210 AH Battery Bank for GTG I Covers Manufacture. Testing at works before Dispatch and Delivery for Destination. It also includes installation, first initial charging at site and commissioning. 2 Service:- The Battery units are required to provide 125V DC control supply for GTG I 3 Standards: The equipment shall be supplied to the relevant IEC / Indian Standards. Any deviations shall be indicated with the salient points. 4 Site Conditions:- The Climate can be described as wet and tropical. Temperature Range : -1.1 to 45 C Electrical ground resistivity : 30 to 40 Ohm-Meter. Relative Air Humidity : 100% Max. Site above MSL : Less than 1000 Meter. The atmosphere in the factory shall be laden with urea dust. The Air may contain Ammonia Vapours. 5 Battery SPECS:- 5.1 The battery bank shall consists of series connected Ni-Cd cells as specified. 103 Nos., 210 AH, KPM 210, 125V GTG - I Battery Bank. 5.2 The battery cells shall confirm to the following requirements. a. The cells shall be vented type, assembled in plastic containers with covers. Covers shall be fitted with spray proof vent plugs. b. All cells terminals shall have adequate current carrying capacity. Cell terminal posts shall be equipped with connector bolts. Cell terminal posts, bolts, and associated hardware shall be of electrolyte resisting material. c. Electrolyte level Indication lines for minimum and maximum levels shall be marked on the maintenance access side of each jar or container. 5.3 Each battery shall be rated for specified ampere hours at the Five Hrs., rate discharge to an end voltage of 1.00 Volts per cell. 5.4 Each cell shall be contained in a closed top container preferably transparent and unbreakable and shall incorporate positive and negative plates and separators in position. Wooden separators shall not be acceptable. These Cells shall be provided with Inter cell connectors, nut bolts along with 2 flat & 1 spring washers. Connector must be suitable to take full current and should be designed to withstand short circuit current also. Interrow, Inter Tier Connectors and take off terminals shall be designed for rated current and shall also be able to withstand shot circuit current. All these Connectors shall be manufactured from Electrolytic Copper, with Nickel Plating and shall be Electrolyte Resistant. 5.5 The battery units shall be complete with all necessary components such as lids, plugs, separators and buffers, inter-cell connectors, cell insulators. 5.6 The required quantity of electrolyte plus 10% extra quantity complying with relevant standards shall be supplied in suitable non-returnable containers along with the battery. 5.7 Accessories for maintenance to be supplied at no extra cost to NFL: a. Syringe type hydrometer suitable for specific gravity readings 4 Nos. b. Thermometer with specific gravity correction scale 2 Nos. c. Cell testing Voltmeter (3-0-3) complete with leads 2 Nos. d. Insulated spanners (for each type of Battery) 2 Sets e. Rubber syringe 2 Nos. f. Funnel 2 Nos. g. Jug 2 Nos. h. Apron 2 Nos. i. Rubber Gloves 2 Sets j. Teak wood stand for Hydrometers. 2 Nos. 5.8 Spares to be supplied at no extra cost to NFL: Battery Set shall be supplied with following spares at no extra cost to NFL i. Intercell Connector 10 Nos. ii. Vent Plugs 10 Nos. iii Nuts bolts & Washers ( 2 flat & 1 spring washer) 10 Nos. iv. Uncharged Dry Battery 01 Nos. 6.0 TEST The tests specified in the relevant standards shall be carried out during the course of manufacturing of battery. The test certification for various tests conducted shall be furnished to the inspection. Acceptance test on 1 sample of battery shall be carried out at works. At lest 2 weeks advance notice of the date of inspection shall be given to purchaser. The equipment shall be despatched in single lot only after approval of the test certificates by inspection. However, during commissioning of the battery set a representative of the supplier shall be present at NFL Vijaipur Site to carry out the capacity test on the battery bank. 7.0 DOCUMENTS:- a. Documents, test certificates, drawing etc along with Operation & Maintenance manuals. Complete Charging, Initial Charging, Discharging Procedure shall be supplied in Four Sets along with dispatch documents at no extra cost to NFL. b. Technical Particulars: Complete technical particulars shall be furnished along with the offer as per Annexure-IX and in absence of these particulars offer shall not be evaluated. Page: 2 of 3
8.0 You will submit Guarantee Certificate as per Standard Clause given in NIT. The Guarantee shall cover:- i. High reliability under normal continuous operating and fault condition. ii. All ratings under continuous operating condition. iii. Compliance with the specifications as well as with specified norms and standards. iv. That all the necessary spare parts can be made available to the purchaser. v. That all equipment is constructed in such a manner that repair and revision are kept at a minimum and can be carried out with the shortest possible time. vi.
