It is highly flexible and thanks to various levels of automation fulfills the most diverse customer requirements. SERVOtrail is an open track system and thus maintenancefree. Floor area required for bobbin trolleys is eliminated, which saves space and consequently reduces building costs. The trains transport the bobbins respectively the tubes wihout any problem over different floor levels and buildings. According to system and requirements, bobbin buffers and bobbin strippers can also be integrated. Guaranteed Roving Quality Contact-free bobbin transport Protection of the roving is mandatory Roving produced on the roving frame is a sensitive interim product that is very vulnerable to external influences. If the roving is incorrectly treated or is kept too long in interim storage, damage and soiling will occur. Horizontal transport, uncontrolled interim storage and any kind of contact damage the roving and cause quality deterioration. These materialize on the one hand in a reduced machine efficiency and on the other hand negatively affect the yarn quality. Quality assurance with SERVOtrail The SERVOtrail installation transports the bobbins suspended instead of horizontal. The outer layer of the roving bobbins is never subjected to contact. Controlled intermediate storage ensures that the bobbins remain clean and dust-free. This ensures that the roving reaches the ring spinning machine without any damage, i.e. in consistently good quality. 11

Maintenance-Free System Open track construction, maintenance-free components Well considered, maintenance-free concept A major challenge in spinning mills is the soiling of the machines. Therefore, a so-called open, maintenance-free track system such as the SERVOtrail transport system is eminently suitable. The tracks are made of precisely manufactured aluminium profiles with diagonal contact surfaces. These prevent adherence of dust and dirt, making cleaning unnecessary. The traveling cleaner on the ring spinning machine supports the cleanliness of tracks and trains. Proven, stable components and the simple design make SERVOtrail a reliable and long-lasting system. With the automatic version of the SERVOtrail system, friction wheels drive the bobbin trains. Spring pressure is used to automatically set the friction wheels, so that time-consuming adjustment is eliminated. The gears of the friction wheels are durable and maintenance-free. 12

Where necessary, Rieter can offer quick and uncomplicated support over this connection. Tube cleaning adapted to the system Roving that remains on the tubes can be reused in the spinning process. Here, automatic or manual tube cleaners are used. They clean the tubes effectively and open the roving to single fibers, which can be refed into the spinning process. 13

Customized Systems for all Requirements SERVOtrail Direct the fully-automatic, flexible solution The fully automatic version SERVOtrail Direct fulfills the most stringent customer requirements. The trains with the bobbins run from the fully automatic roving frame directly into the creel of the ring spinning machine and replace the conventional creel. They are automatically positioned in the ring spinning machine. Spinning takes place directly from the bobbin trains which saves repositioning of the roving bobbins. With spinning of different assortments, transport of the roving bobbins to the correspondingly assigned ring spinning machines is guaranteed. SERVOtrail Direct is also particularly suitable for large bobbin sizes with 7 /2.7 kg. 14

In addition, there are also semi-automatic solutions. Flexible is primarily suitable for spinning mills processing various assortments. The system is designed in such a way, that an unlimited number of roving frames and ring spinning machines can be integrated. In addition, every roving frame can also supply every ring spinning machine with roving bobbins. Manual or automatic bobbin stripper can be implemented. 16

The two most important versions are: Continuous A, the automatic system, and M, the manual system. The bobbin trains move continuously at a high speed of 10 m/min along the ring spinning machines. This guarantees a quick and consistent supply of roving bobbins to the ring spinning machines. A special design feature of the SERVOtrail Continuous is the Single Circuit (SC). Here, one roving frame is connected with maximal three to four ring spinning machines. 20
