INSTALLATION PREPARATION Before starting installation: Negative Battery Cable 1. Familiarize yourself with the installation instructions. 2. Inspect the kit components (Refer to Kit Contents and Hardware Bag Contents). VEHICLE PREPARATION 1. Place protective coverings on vehicle.! 2. IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT Disconnect Negative Battery Cable. 3. Remove the #2 instrument cluster fi nish panel by disengaging the (9) clips and (1) claw. 4. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assemblycounterclockwise to remove. 5. Move the shift lever to the N position. Disengage the (4) clips securing the rear console upper panel sub-assembly. Disengage any connectors (if equipped) and remove the rear console upper panel subassembly from the vehicle. Page 2 of 16
VEHICLE PREPARATION; continued 6. Remove the HVAC control panel assembly by disengaging the (6) clips and disconnecting any connector that may be attached. 7. Remove the radio receiver. a. Remove the (4) 10mm bolts located at the bottom of the radio. b. Disengage the (9) clips and (2) claws and disconnect any connectors that may be attached. Page 3 of 16
VEHICLE PREPARATION; continued 8. Remove the passenger s front pillar garnish. a. Pull toward the inside of the cabin to disengage the (2) clips. b. Using needle-nose pliers, turn the front pillar garnish clip 90 and disengage it from the front pillar garnish. Page 4 of 16
VEHICLE PREPARATION; continued 9. Remove the passenger s front scuff plate assembly by disengaging the (12) claws. 10. Remove the passenger s cowl side trim board by disengaging the (1) claw and (2) clips. 11. Remove the glove compartment door sub-assembly by removing the (2) 10 mm bolts, 92) phillips screws and disengaging the (2) claws. Page 5 of 16
VEHICLE PREPARATION; continued 12. Remove the roof headliner rear garnish from the vehicle by disengaging the (2) claws and (6) clips. 13. Unplug the factory XM antenna connector from the junction connector. 14. Remove the junction connector from the vehicle body. Junction Connector Factory XM Antenna Connector Page 6 of 16
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES 1. Locate the XM antenna adapter cable (P/N: 00016-00076-10) and remove the XM cable from the connector. a. Using a fl at tip screwdriver, loosen the secondary lock by prying pry upward. b. Insert a small flat tip screwdriver into the rear of the connector to release the primary lock and pull the antenna cable out of the connector. Note: Ensure that the primary lock is bent slightly upward from the terminal to properly lock into the new connector. 2. Using a flat tip screwdriver, loosen the secondary lock on the factory junction connector by prying upward. 3. Insert the XM antenna cable into the junction connector and close the secondary lock. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES; continued 4. Reinstall the junction connector/xm antenna cable back into the roof structure. Foam Tape 5. Plug the factory XM antenna connector into the junction connector. 6. Route the XM antenna cable towards the passenger side of the vehicle. Secure the XM antenna cable to the roof structure with provided foam tape. 7. Route the XM antenna cable behind the passenger s rear #2 window side garnish assembly. 8. Using a trim tool, route the XM antenna cable to the center pillar upper garnish. Page 8 of 16
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE; continued 9. Continue to route the XM antenna cable behind the quarter lock pillar garnish. 10. Continue to route the XM antenna cable across the passenger s rear door opening, tucking the XM antenna cable between the headliner assembly and the weatherstrip. 11. Continue to route the XM antenna cable behind the center pillar upper garnish. Page 9 of 16

Continue to route the XM antenna cable across the passenger s front door opening to the passenger s front pillar area, tucking the XM antenna cable between the headliner assembly and the weatherstrip. 13. Continue to route the XM antenna cable down the passenger s front pillar, securing with the factory retaining clips and (1) cable tie. Retaining Clips 14. Continue to route the XM antenna cable from bottom of the passenger s front pillar to the passenger s fl oor area. Cable Tie Page 10 of 16
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE; continued 15. Verify the dip switch settings on the XM interface adapter, adjust if necessary. Dip Switch # Position Function 1 On* (Down Position) Steering wheel controls. On Display (touchscreen) radios, if the dip switch is in the UP position, the steering wheel button will function opposite of what the user wants. 2 Off* (Up Position) Disables scrolling text. This may be desirable on base radios if the text flashes, or of the customer finds text scrolling distractive. * Default Position 16. Using electrical tape, attach the XM interface adapter to the XM tuner module. Dip Switch #1 Dip Switch #2 XM Tuner Module XM Interface Adapter 17. Attach the XM antenna cable to the XM tuner module. 18. Attach the 9-pin black mini-din male connector from the XM tuner module to the 9-pin black mini-din female connector from the XM interface adapter. XM Adapter Cable P/N: 00016-00076-10 Cable Tie 19. Secure the XM interface adapter, XM module and any excess XM antenna cable to the factory wire harness located behind the glove box assembly with (2) cable ties. Page 11 of 16
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE; continued 20. Route the XM interface adapters to the radio mounting location, securing to the factory harness with (2) cable ties. Cable Ties 21. Reinstall any harnesses that were removed from the rear of the radio during disassembly. 22. Attach the XM interface adapters 12-pin female connector to the radio s 12-pin male connector, located in the rear of the radio. 12-Pin Male Connector Note: Depending on the vehicle model and options, the factory radio may be using the 12-pin plug located on the rear of the radio. In these instances, use the XM interface adapter s T-Harness, and plug the factory 12-pin female into the XM interface adapter s 12-pin male connector. Page 12 of 16

RE-INSTALL THE RADIO 1. Secure the radio to the dash assembly using the (4) 10 mm bolts previously removed. VEHICLE RE-ASSEMBLY 1. Refer again to the vehicle repair manual and re-assemble all panels that were removed for installation back onto the vehicle. Negative Battery Cable 2. Re-connect the negative battery cable. Torque to 48 in. lbs. TESTING THE RADIO 1. Prior to delivering the vehicle, test all features of the factory system according to the vehicle s owner s manual. Page 14 of 16
