Instructions For PG-1200RC Magnetic Locking Devices (Remote control distance up to 10 meters) Ver. 18.1 Please Read Carefully Before Installing Magnetic Lock A. Carefully for handling to prevent damage for the plate surface of magnet or armature, it may reduce locking efficiency. B. The magnet must be mounted rigidly to the door frame. Then fix the armature to the door by using the screws. If the door can not be fixed closely, you may move the armature, so that it can match with the surface of the magnet completely. C. Firmly tighten all screws. Typical Installation STEP 1 A. Fold template along dotted line. B. Place template against door and head frame. C. Drill holes as indicated on template. STEP 2 A. Mount the armature plate to door by using 1 rubber washer sandwiched between 2 steel washers. ( The rubber washer and 2 steel washer are installed on the through Hexagon screw between armature plate and door). STEP 3 A. Install the mounting plate with 2 flat head screws (the 2 M5 5 flat head screws are installed on the slotted holes for adjustment). B. Adjust the mounting plate so that it forms right angle with the armature plate. C. Using the mounting plate as a temple, drill the wire hole. D. Drill the remaining mounting screws. 1
STEP 4 A. Install magnet to mounting plate with 2 M4 screws supplied. STEP 5 A. Test all functions of this model (see wiring instruction). Armature Plate Mounts To The Door: *Important:Do not fix the armature plate too tightly, and make the rubber washer more flexible in order to let the armature plate automatically adjust its proper position with magnet. 12VDC Input: A. Required power 1.0Amp ( Minimum ). B. Connect the ground (-) lead from a 12VDC power source to Black line. C. Connect the positive (+) lead from a 12VDC power source to Red line. D. Check jumper for 12VDC operation. 24VDC Input: A. Required power 0.5Amp ( Minimum ). B. Connect the ground (-) lead from a 24VDC power source Black line. C. Connect the positive (+) lead from a 24VDC power source to Red line. D. Check jumper for 24VDC operation. Contacts: A. Relay dry contacts are rated as 24VDC/1.0A for safe operation. Do not exceed this rating. B. If you require a normally opened dry contacts, please connect the wires of Yellow and Orange. If you require a normally closed dry contacts, please connect the wires of Yellow and Green. 2
Printed Circuit Board Schematic The procedure of adding /deleting transmitter (up to 40 transmitter s ID.) 1. Adding transmitter 1.1 Adjust the JUMPER(JP) to the desired channel to receive. The communication indicator will flash. After 35 seconds; It means the programming is complete. 1.2 Pressing the learning mode button(msw1) on the PCB, the communication indicator will flash and starting learning mode. (The learning mode will be automatically closed after 35 seconds of inactivity) 1.3 According to the channel set by JUMPER (JP), press the corresponding button on the PTX-204DF to match. 1.4 After all the transmitters are matched, please power off the lock and put on the armature plate. After 3 seconds, re-power the lock and wait the lock is activated (the armature is secured), press the matched button on PTX-204DF. If the armature plate is released, that means the setting is completed. 2. Deleting transmitter If any transmitter is lost, all transmitters should be deleted and reprogrammed. Pressing the learning mode button for 10 seconds without re-power, the communication indicator will flash to complete the deleting. Important A. The product should be only supplied with UL listed power supply. B. If the power switch is not wired directly between DC voltage source and magnet, it will take time to de-energize the residual magnetism(see below). C. Please make sure your jumper pin is in the proper position. 3
Wiring connection with reader Dimensions: mm[inch] Q & A FOR PML series: A. Once powered, the pilot light isn t responded to ON : (1) If the voltage selection of the printed circuit board was set DC 24V, please check your power supply with at least DC 24V, 500mA. (2) Maybe the DC (+), (-) polarity is reversed. (3) Maybe the jumper was put in wrong position, please reverse it and try again. 4
B. Once powered, if pilot light turns on, but lacking magnetic force and magnet could not attract the armature, the reasons may be as follows: (1)Please check if the power voltage is larger than DC24V (power supply must be DC24V, 500mA+/-5% Minimum) (2)Maybe the magnet & armature do not match completely tight, please adjust the position between the magnet and armature. (3)The transformer s quality causes interference please check if the poor quality of the transformer induced the interference. If yes, please replace another one. C. Once powered, the pilot light turns on, but the magnetic force is not enough: (1) The magnet and armature cannot attract tightly, please check if there is some dust between them. (2) The magnet and armature of the lock doesn t align completely, please adjust them. (3) Maybe due to under voltage or wrongly jumped, please double check. D. Once powered, if the lock cannot attract immediately, then the reason could be as follows: (1) The time delay is too long, please shorten it by adjusting the knob counterclockwisely. (2) Maybe the time period which is controlled by the external controller (such as reader, etc..) is too long, please adjust the time period of external controller. Specifications subject to change without notice for further modification. 5 PG-1200RC
