Some exhibitors may wish to erect double-storey stands for their presentation. As organizers and managers of the show, we recognize and appreciate such a need. However, we seek the full understanding and co-operation of exhibitors and their appointed contractors to ensure that all construction rulings pertaining to such stands are enforced at the time of this exhibition and that the stands strictly adhere to the rules and regulations set by the organizers and the show managers. In addition, these exhibitors and their contractors must ensure that they work to the schedule stated in the Timetable of On-site Operations. Exhibitors who erect double-storey stands for their presentations will be charged an additional 50% of the overbuild area. 20

Fabrication works like welding, cutting, sawing, laminating, painting, spraying, etc. should not be carried out inside the exhibition hall. Severe restrictions and penalties will be imposed on anyone who infringes this regulation. This is a health and safety measure. Each exhibitor is responsible for providing their own walls. Where booths are adjacent to one another, an exhibitor may not use the reverse of the neighboring booth s wall. Where a structure, such as a wall or a sign, exceeds the height of the neighboring booth s wall (the maximum height of the shell scheme booth is 2.5m) the exhibitor with the higher wall must decorate the visible portion to a standard acceptable to the organizers. (xviii) Where Space Only booths lie alongside shell scheme package booths, the walls of the shell scheme package booth may not be used by the Space Only exhibitor. (xxi) (xxii) Construction work must give due allowance for electrical and telephone wiring to be carried out. Similarly, these wires, if laid, must not be removed, cut or diverted without the permission of the organizers. Exhibitors are reminded that it is the responsibility of their appointed booth-fitting contractor to carry out daily cleaning and an initial rough clean, before handing over to the exhibitor. Any left-over construction materials will be the responsibility of the exhibitor s appointed booth-fitting contractor. (xxiii) Exhibitors cannot display their name boards or signs over the side of an adjacent exhibitor s back wall or sidewall - only on the sides of their own booths. Any structures to be used for logos and graphics, like towers and signboards, should be set in by least 0.5m from the common walls. (xxiv) (xxv) (b) (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) (vii) Exhibitors should deploy a 6kg hanging fire extinguisher for booths with glass or wooden roofs. One fire extinguisher for a 20m 2 booth; two fire extinguishers for a 20-30m 2 booth and so on. If the roofs of the booths are made of cloth, there should be a distance of at least 20cm between the cloths and a fireproofing agent must be sprayed onto the material. The standard density of this spray is 5m 2 per kilogram (16m 2 per kilogram for nylon and mesh cloths). If exhibitors have any glass-made exhibition furniture, they are to follow the stipulations below: 1 The glass can only be fixed below 2m, and any piece of glass larger than 3m 2 must be made of fortified glass. 2 All glass fixed above a height of 2m, regardless of size, must be made of fortified glass. Shell Scheme Booths: No additional booth-fitting or display may be attached to the shell scheme structure. Neither nailing nor drilling is allowed. If you require assistance in hanging or displaying your exhibits, please consult the official booth-fitting contractor. Painting or wall-papering the shell scheme booth panels is prohibited. Exhibitors who wish to have the panels painted must inform the official booth-fitting contractor who will provide a quote for the service. Free-standing fitments may not exceed a height of 2.5m from the floor or extend beyond the boundaries of the allocated site. This includes company names, towers, balloons and logos provided by the exhibitors. Any change in color or type of fascia and floor covering must be carried out by the official booth-fitting contractor after approval by the organizers. Changes will be at the exhibitor s expense. An exhibitor occupying a corner booth will have an additional open side with a fascia, complete with name and booth number, at no additional cost. Logos may be attached onto the fascia, but MUST NOT exceed 300mm x 300mm x 10mm. The cost of reproduction of logos will be borne by the exhibitor. No financial recompense will be paid by the organizers for any shell scheme package item not utilized. 22

(viii) Exhibitors are not allowed to change the booth format by dismantling the shell scheme structure or removing any integral part of it without prior written approval from the Organiser. Such applications should be submitted to the Organiser for approval at least one month before the show. 2.19 ELECTRICAL SERVICES For safety reasons and to protect the sophisticated electrical installation system of the exhibition center, all power main installations from source to outlet (exhibition booths) must only be carried out by the official booth-fitting contractor. Connection of exhibits in booths may be carried out either by the official electrical contractor or by the exhibitor s technician. However, connections must be inspected by the official booth-fitting contractor before circuits go live. Electricity arrangements for booths have been divided into three sections. Please see Form 3a for details. Please note that power supply for booth lighting is part of the package for shell scheme booth exhibitors. Power for Space-Only booths must be ordered to include booth lighting. All exhibitors must order electricity supply for their exhibits. Each electricity supply provided is intended for one piece of equipment / machine on display. Multi-point socket outlets may not be fitted. For exhibitors who have ordered additional electrical items using Form 3a (ELECTRICAL SERVICE), a separate quotation will be provided on application for any unlisted fittings or installations, including step-up or step-down transformers. Any changes in position of service points on-site will be treated as new orders and charged as such, unless the electrician is notified prior to installation. Please check that your equipment is able to operate within the electrical specifications stated in Para 1.12. You may bring with you any transformers, adaptors or regulators that you need. Orders will also be accepted by the official electrical contractor. A fluctuation of approximately ± 20% is possible. EXHIBITORS WHOSE EQUIPMENT IS PARTICULARLY SENSITIVE SHOULD ARRANGE TO HAVE STABILIZERS. In certain circumstances it may be necessary to place an electrical distribution board (DB) on the wall of an exhibitor s booth. Whenever possible, this will be avoided. Where it is unavoidable, we will always discuss the concealment of a DB with the exhibitor in question and make arrangements with our electrical contractor. No electrical installation or fitting may be suspended from the ceiling of the exhibition hall or fixed to any part of the building structure. Supplies to booths will be switched off at source 15 minutes after the exhibition closes each evening. On the final day of the exhibition, electricity will be cut off 15 minutes after the exhibition closes. Exhibitors requiring electricity supply at times other than those stated should make advanced application to the organizers in writing two weeks before the exhibition opening date. Any cost involved must be borne by the exhibitor. It is essential that exhibitors submit this information in good time as it may not be possible to satisfy late orders. The organizers reserve the right to disconnect the electricity supply to any installation which, in the opinion of the electrical engineers, is dangerous or likely to cause annoyance to visitors or other exhibitors. 23

Note: Please place orders early as electrical plans have to be pre-approved by the Center Facilities Section. 2.20 COMPRESSED AIR Rental of compressors must be through the official stand fitting contractor. Air supply is not totally clean and dry, exhibitors must arrange their own filters. 2.21 PHOTOGRAPHY Commercial photographers representing trade media, or individual visitors to the exhibition, may wish to photograph exhibitors booths or individual exhibits. In such instances, exhibitors have the right to ask such persons not to carry out photography without their consent. A general photograph, taken along the length of the aisle, would not require specific consent, whilst a head on shot or a close up of any of your exhibits lies within your jurisdiction. Exhibitors wishing to restrict photography for any reason should place a notice to that effect adjacent to the exhibit and are advised to hire a security guard, at their own expense, to enforce the notice. 2.22 FIRE SAFETY Exhibitors who, because of the nature of their exhibits, require a special type of fire extinguisher, must make arrangements, at their own cost, for the provision of such equipment. The organizers can assist and advise where required. Any person seeing an incidence of fire, however slight, must make immediate use of the fire alarm system and make every endeavor to extinguish the fire or to confine it by using extinguishers and/or removal of goods in the vicinity. SMOKING BANNED IN EXHIBITION HALL 2.23 FORCE MAJEURE The exhibition may be postponed, shortened or extended for reasons beyond the organizers control. The organizers shall not be responsible for any loss sustained by exhibitors, directly or indirectly attributable to elements of nature, force majeure or orders and directives imposed by any governmental authority. In the event of such circumstances, the money paid by the exhibitors, or any part thereof, is refundable at the sole discretion of the organizers. 2.24 DILAPIDATION The organizers, in conjunction with the venue landlord, will inspect the halls before build-up and after tear-down. Exhibitors are responsible for the cost of making good or repairing any damage or dilapidation to the exhibition premises, whether caused by themselves, their agents, contractors or any person or persons employed or engaged on their behalf by such agents or contractors. Exhibitors occupying shell scheme booths are also responsible for the cost of making good, restoring or renewing any damage or dilapidation to their shell scheme structure, floor covering, light fittings, or any part thereof, whether caused by themselves, their agents, contractors or by any person or persons employed or engaged on their behalf by such agents or contractors. The cost of making good any damage will be assessed by the official booth-fitting contractor and charged to the exhibitor concerned. 2.25 PROTECTION OF PATENT RIGHTS It is incumbent upon the exhibitor to ensure that patent rights for the equipment exhibited conforms to all legal requirements. These measures must be taken before the exhibits are shown at the exhibition. The organizers accept no responsibility in this matter. 24
