The Sport Rear Stand is for supporting the motorcycle without the rider. The Stand must be used only on smooth, dry and level surfaces, with the motorcycle in gear. If using a front stand together with the rear stand, THE REAR STAND MUST BE PUT IN PLACE FIRST AND REMOVED LAST. Never allow the motorcycle to be supported by a front stand alone. When installing or operating the Sport Rear Stand, always have someone nearby assist with the process. Caution: The stand must be installed on the motorcycle as per the appropriate diagram. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THE INSTALLATION. The Sport Rear Stand has been designed and tested for use on the R1100S only. The Stand is intended for closed-course/off-road use only. If the motorcycle is equipped with a factory installed center stand, both it, and the pressed-in frame bushing must be removed to allow installation and operation of the Sport Rear stand. In this situation, BMW Motorrad USA recommends contacting your authorized BMW Motorcycle Retailer for assistance. Page 2 of 5
