Fly Safety Notice 1. Using the X1 has potential safety risk, children under 14 are not recommended to be the operator. Install the propeller guards during the using is recommended. 2. For increased safety, flying your aircraft in a nofly zone is prohibited. Please follow the local laws to fly your aircraft. 3. For your safety flight, please ensure your aircraft flies in an open-area and inyour vision range. Crowds, trees, tall buildingsand high-tension wires or magnetic field may also affect aircraft s signal and compass. Flying your aircraft in such areas is not recommended. 4. When the battery level is low. Users are advised to land the aircraft immediately whenwaring prompt is showed up. We recommend you continue your flight after the battery is fully charged. 5. For indoor flight, please only fly your aircraft when lighting condition is adequate and on textured surface. (For more information please refer to the X1 user manual) Optical Flow Position System may not work properly when the aircraft is flying over monochrome surfaces, transparent surfaces, highly reflective surfaces and water. 6. After the flight, pleasetake out the flight battery to avoid excessive discharging. Please store the battery in a dry place with the temperature around 20 C~30 C. For a long battery life,please keep the battery level between 70%~80% (3.6-3.9V)before the storing for a relative long period. 7. Battery capacity is significantly decreased when flying in low temperature environments. We recommend you turn on the aircraft to warm up the battery close to 20 degrees Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit before the flight. 8. Please choose a wild open area to fly your aircraft. Do not touch the rotating propellers. 9. Be careful when flying the aircraft. Avoid hitting people, and keeping certain distance away from children and animals. 10. Please do not fly the aircraft into the fireplace, the oven or over other heat source. 11. Do not fly the aircraft into water or landing on a water surface. 12. Do not fly the aircraft through a window from indoor to outdoor. 2

The APP can be downloaded from wingsland official website (www.wingsland.com), Google Play and APP Store. 4

Plug the battery into the drone, connect the drone USB port and the charger with USB cable, then start to charge the battery, the standard input voltage is 5V. The X1 front lights will flash slowing when it is under charging. When it is fully charged, the front lights will be off, please disconnect the power and get the battery out. The recommended charging time is about 50 minutes, and charging current >1A. 5V Charging the drone Front LED Lights Notice: 1.After flying the drone, if the battery temperature is high, please wait and charge it after it is back to environment temperature. The maximum flight time is tested in Wingsland lab, for reference only. 2.Power adapters with lower output currents would make charging time longer. Battery Installation Insert the battery into the compartment in correct direction, and make sure it is securely clamped, then the drone is powered on and front lights are on. Replace the Battery Flip down the battery clip and then pull out the battery. 5

2 Operation 2. 1 Pre-Flight Checklist Mobile device and flight battery are fully charged before flight. 2.2PropellersandPropeller Guards Clockwise(A) Counter-clockwise(B) Counter-clockwise(B) X1 state as delivered Clockwise(A) X1 state with propeller guards How to install the propeller guards: 1 First of all, please remove the propellers by dismantling key. 2 Install the propeller guards onto the motors first and then install the propellers firmly. 3 Make sure direction of arrows on propellers are the same with Aircraft s. Counter-clockwise(B) 1 1. First of all, please remove the propellers by dismantling key. 2. Hold the motor with one hand, twist and pull off the propeller guard. 2 3 Clockwise(A) Notice: Don t use the Auto flipping function while flying with propeller guards. Otherwise the drone may lose control while Autoflipping. Please take off the propeller guards before flipping. How to uninstall the propeller guards: Notice: Don t hold the arms of the aircraft while disassembling the propellers! Otherwise it would break the connector wires and damage the motors. 6

2.3 Link tothe Aircraft Insert the battery, X1 will power on immediately. Enter into the WiFi setting interface of Mobile device. Select corresponding WiFi of X1 from the WiFi list. The default WiFi name format is wingsland X1_air_xxxxxx. Enter the default password wingsland. Open the APP, Tap Start to Fly to enter into operation interface, When image from camera actived, the connection established. 2.4 Auto Takeoff/Palm Takeoff/Auto Landing Please fly your aircraft when lighting condition is adequate and on textured surface only. Auto Takeoff Enter the flying interface, tap the Auto Takeoff icon Takeoff,read the warning,then confirm to active the feature. The aircraft will automatically take off and hover above the ground. Confirm take-off Tap and confirm to take off, the aircraft will take off automatically. Before the takeoff, put aircraft on a flat level ground. Do not touch the propellers. Cancel Palm Takeoff Connect the X1 drone with mobile device, then put the X1 on your palm and stretch out your arm. Tap the IOC Setting icon on App,choose Palm Takeoff function, and confirm.doubleclick the image area on the App, the drone will take off automatically. X1 will fly upward to 0.5 meter above the palm and hover there. Select a Function Motion Sensitive Palm Takeoff Steps of Palm Takeoff Select Palm Takeoff Notice: Please make sure the upward direction is clear of obstacles before palm takeoff. 7

Auto Landing When aircraft is getting ready to land, Tap icon Landing, and confirm the auto landing, Aircraft will start landing automatically. After landing the motors will lock automatically and the propellers will stop turning. Please confirm to one-key land Please make sure the landing point is safe. Do not touch the propellers. The joystick can adjust the landing point. Tap the exit button to stop landing. Cancel Notice:make sure there is no obstructions underneath the aircraft before landing. 2.5 Control Mode Virtual joystick control After X1 took off and hovering, touch the screen, the virtual joystick will be displayed on the APP interface. Drag the dot in middle to control height and directions of X1) Virtual joystick The control mode is set to mode 2 by default, the left joystick controls the throttle and rotation of the aircraft, the right joystick controls forward, backward, left, right movements of the aircraft. Left joystick: Right joystick: Upward Forward Downward Backward Turn Left Turn Right Left Right Mode 2 8

Left joystick: Forward Right joystick: Upward Backward Downward Turn Left Turn Right Left Right Mode 1 Mode 1 and Mode 2 can be switched under control mode settings. Under Mode 1, the left joystick controls forward, backward,and rotation of the aircraft, the right joystick controls the throttle and left,right movements of the aircraft. Control Mode Joystick type Mode 2 Mode 1 Forward Upward Turn Left Turn Right Left Right TakeOff Backward Downward Motion Sensitive Mode Switch to Mode 1 Switch to Mode 1 Motion sensitive mode is based on the gravity sensor built in the mobile device, to control the motions of the craft by tilting the mobile device. Tap the screen, a virtual joystick will be displayed in the left of the APP screen, which controls the throttle and rotation of the aircraft. Tap and hold the green round on the right of the APP screen, then tilt the mobile device to control the motions of the aircraft. Tilt the mobile device up/down, the aircraft will fly forward/backward, tilt the mobile device left/right, the aircraft will fly toward left /right. Switch to motion-sensitive mode: SelectaFunction Motion Sensitive Palm Takeoff Tap IOC Setting icon,select Motion Sensitive and confirm. Motion-sensitive Mode Interface Notice:In the motion-sensitive mode, the left joystick is same with the virtual joystick mode 2. 9

2.6 Photo/Video Photo:Under single shot mode, tap shutter once to take onephoto. Video:Under video mode, tap record icon to start recordingvideo, then tap the icon again to stop recording. Photo Shutter Video TakeOff Notice: 1.Tap Video Mode iconat photo mode, then it would be switched to video mode.tap Photo Mode iconat video mode, then it would be switched to photo mode. 2. The taken photo and video would be saved on mobile devices. DIY Stickers Stickers Usage: 1 Paste the middle stickers on the middle of the aircraft upper shell. 2 Then paste the side stickers on two sides of the aircraft upper shell. Stickers 1 2 10

Contact wingsland afterservice center or an authorized wingsland dealer. 5 Flight Battery Safety Guidelines Battery Use: 1. DO NOT allow the batteries to contact any liquid. DO NOT use the battery in rain or moist environment. If the battery pins or inside get in touch with water, it may lead to corrosion or even explosion. 2. Do not put the battery into fire or store in a high temperature environment. Using the battery in environments above 50 may cause fire or explosion. 3. Do not use non-wingsland batteries, wingsland takes no responsibility for any damage or accidents caused by non-wingsland batteries. 4. Do not use or charge swollen, leaky or damaged batteries. If above situation occurs,please contact Wingsland for after sales service. 5. Storing or using the battery in temperature under 0 will heavily cut down the battery lifetime. 6. Do not drop, strike, impale the battery. Do not use a swollen, leaky or damaged battery. 7. Avoid the short-circuit in the battery, and store the battery with no conductor around. 8. Do not put heavy objects on the battery. 9. Clean the battery with a dry cloth if there is any dirt on the battery. 11

10.If found the battery leakage, do not contact with skins and eyes. If you do contact,immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical help. 11.If the drone falls into water during flight, please take the battery out immediately and place it in safe place. Stay away from the battery until it is dry. Please don t use the battery again and dispose it according to below section Disposal. 12.Put out any battery fire using sand or a dry powder fire extinguisher. 13.Store the battery in a dry environment with an appropriate room temperature. 14.The battery performance will be affected after long time storage ata low battery level. Charging 1. Follow the stipulations of Charging methods in our company s<< users manual>>. 2. Please place aircraft or charger on cement floor, keep away from Flammable, combustible materials. Please pay attention on battery while charging to prevent accidents. 3. The perfect charging temperature is 15 and 40. Do not charge the battery after flight immediately. Charging in the heat of a battery may shorten battery life, even catch fire. 4. Disconnect the power and remove the battery when the charging is finished. Storage and Transport: 1. Keep batteries out of the reach of children. 2. DO NOT leave the battery near heat sources, the ideal storage temperature is 22-28. 3. Storage of batteries should be kept dry, keep the battery away from the damp environment. 4. Do not transport or store the battery together with metal objects suchas metal necklaces,watches etc. 5. Do not transport damaged batteries. 6. Please follow the relevant regulations of the local airline before bring the battery to the flight. Disposal: Dispose of the battery in specific recycling boxes only after a complete discharge. Batteries are dangerous chemical goods. DO NOT place the battery in regular trash containers. Strictly follow your local regulations regarding the disposal and recycling of batteries. 12

6 Limitation of Liability Wingsland accepts no liability for damage(s), injuries or any legal responsibilities incurred directly or indirectly from the use of this product in the following conditions, and this limitation of liability applies to wingsland suppliers, dealers and service providers: 1. Any more you paid in amount for this product than the actual purchase price. 2. Any costs and expenses with access to alternative goods, services or rights. 3. Costs, expenses increased, loss caused by the data loss, data corruption or data interruption. 4. Any loss caused by the violation of the provisions of local laws and regulations or the civil aviation administration laws. 5.
