CHABOT-LAS POSITAS COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT New Panelboard for Lot H, EV Charger Energization, Las Positas College Scope of Work and Technical Specifications Chabot-Las Positas Community College District ( District ) requests that firms provide a lump sum proposal to furnish all equipment, labor and materials for a new panelboard to energize the existing Electric Vehicle charging equipment in Lot H at Las Positas College. Overview, Objective and Site Information The Las Positas College, located at 3000 Campus Hill Drive in Livermore, has installed an EV Charging electrical distribution system and needs to add a new panelboard in the existing PV inverter circuit to energize the EV charger system. Scope of Work The project scope includes the following: Procurement of a new panelboard with an 800A 3pole, 480V breaker and 2-150A 3 pole 480V breakers. Relocation of the existing ModHopper cabinet and other components of the EV charger distribution system as required. Installation of the new panelboard. Wiring the new panelboard in the circuit between the PV inverter and the 500kVA 480/21kV transformer, incorporating the existing 800 A fused switch. Allowance # 1: Provide Non-Specified Owner s Allowance of $10,000 Submittals: A. All materials, products and systems, including those not specifically addressed in the program requirements, and therefore not carrying a minimum requirement, are subject to review and approval by the District via standard design development and construction submittal review processes. Detail equipment assemblies and indicate dimensions, weights, loads, required clearances, method of field assembly, components, and location and size of each field connection. 2. Wiring Diagrams: For power, signal, and control wiring. 3. Provide details to meet current seismic requirements for anchoring. C. Coordination Drawings: Site Plan(s) and other details, drawn to scale, on which the electrical equipment is shown and coordinated with each other. Project Closeout A. As-Built Drawings: Upon completion of work, the design build team shall provide to the District three (3) bound copies of maintenance manuals showing all approved shop drawings and maintenance and operations documentation. Include a half size set of the as-built drawings folded and bound into the maintenance manuals. Incorporate all red- lines from field notes onto the design CAD and PDF files and submit two (2) hard copies of the final full size As-builds drawings. B. Operation and Maintenance manual: 1. Include operation data required including the following information: a. System and equipment descriptions b. Operation standards and procedures c. Wiring, control and piped system diagrams 2. Maintenance manual-include the following as applicable: a. Product name, Manufacturer and model number b. Reordering information for specially manufactured products c. Repair instructions d. List of items recommended to be stocked as spare parts C. Warranties: Warranty coverage shall include replacement of materials including required labor and equipment due to workmanship and operation of the equipment for one (1) year or per manufacturer warranty. General Requirements A. General: 1. Do not pull new cabling into conduits with existing conductors. If the design requires the installation of new cabling into a conduit with existing conductors, remove the existing conductors, inspect for damage and reinstall with new conductors. B. Conduit: 1. All exterior conduit shall be galvanized rigid, underground conduit shall be Schedule 40 PVC. C. Conductors: 1. All conductors shall be copper, THHN.
