As this event is held under the RACERS organisation you will require a minimum of a clubman level QR Licence to compete. If you do not currently hold a QR Licences you will be able to purchase this from the Queensland Raceway Website qldraceways.com.au or call 1800RACERS (1800 722 377) for assistance. A weekend clubman licence is $20 or an annual licence is $55. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Please read The event is a Multi club Sprint Event and will be referred to as the New Hope Oakey Sprints.(Sponsored by NEW HOPE GROUP). It will be conducted on the closed Council roads of the Industrial Estate Oakey, each run will be a 2 laps over approximately 2 km. The organizers will accept not more than 160 entries. These will be accepted in order of receipt. Timing will be by the Westhold Transponder system. Officials: Race Director: TBA-, Scrutineer: TBA, Official: - Ben Willson, Oakey Motorsport Club Officials have the right to expel any person from the event & the venue that they consider to be acting in a manner which endangers or impacts on other peoples enjoyment of the event activities or causes a complaint to be brought to Oakey Motorsport Club via the officials. Closing time for entries is 8th April 2016. We prefer all entries to be completed at the qldraceways.com.au website. If this is not possible please post to The Secretary Oakey Motorsport Club, PO Box 477. Scrutineers require the car to be properly prepared for the event. This includes steering and brakes, especially pads and fluid and all safety equipment especially seats & restraints shall be in excellent condition. Race apparel must be in excellent condition. Scrutiny and document checking will take place from 12 noon Friday 15th at A1 Smash Repairs Katrina Street Oakey. Outside this time must be arranged with the Chief Compliance Checker. Please bring Civil Licence, Competition Licence. Battery terminal or cut off switch must be clearly marked with Blue triangle and Tow point fitted must be marked with Red triangle. Fire extinguishers are not compulsory. If fitted must be secured in the passenger side foot well within reach of the driver with quick release fittings capable of holding the extinguisher in place at 40G. Drivers briefing will be at 7.30am Saturday 16th, racing commences 8.00am Sunday 17th same as Saturday. Attendance to these briefings is compulsory. If you do not attend you CAN NOT race. The Consumption of alcohol may only be within the designated areas. Consumption or use by ANY competitor, crew, official, or support person is strictly prohibited before & during an activity. Clothing for drivers and crew must be appropriate for the motorsport activity being undertaken. This means Flame resistant enclosed footwear with full coverage from ankle to wrist to neck for drivers and any crew working on the vehicle.
Helmets must meet or surpass the AS1698 requirements. Roll over protections systems where installed must meet the standards of the category/activity the car participates in. Hahns devices or similar must be used by all drivers except those driving a vehicle which is road registed and using a lap sash seat belt or in a vehicle which is in registrable condition (padded dash, steering wheel, airbag etc still fitted) and wearing a lap sash seat belt. Any vehicle fitted with a harness must wear a hahns or equivalent (you need a harness to be able to wear a hahns). If you have any question or are uncertain about the hahns please call Ben on 0423 867 796 Penalties- Penalty for short cutting the chicanes will be 5 sec if done more than once D.N.F Insurance The promoters have arranged Public risk with RACERS, Personal accident has been arranged for Officials, Drivers, and pit crew nominated on entry Forms. For further details see www.qldraceways.com.au Vehicles must be driven SLOWLY at all times and in ALL AREAS until they are actually competing or participating in an event. This means MAX SPEED IN PIT LANE IS 10 KPH up to the exit line and IN ALL OTHER AREAS. Drivers exceeding these limits should expect to be at least cautioned or not permitted to start in one or more runs and potentially be expelled from the venue. All loose items must be removed from the vehicle prior to leaving pit lane especially drink bottles and items dangling off rear vision mirrors. The event is open to juniors (14 years to 17 years) who have had previous experience e.g. Go Karting in racing. Their vehicle will be limited 100kw. They must be accompanied at the event by an adult and hold a RACERS Clubman weekend licence. Nobody under the age of 14 is permitted inside the General Pit Lane area without close adult supervision. Children 5 or under MUST be carried at all times. Children may be excluded from Pit Lane at the direction of an officials Camping in the Pit area is free, for competitors and Officials. Food and drinks will be available from noon Friday 15th. Trailers must be parked in areas designated. No animals are permitted into the venue other than medically assistance dogs during an event unless they have written permission from the management to be on the premises. Racing will finish at approximately 3.30pm on Sunday the 17 th, followed by trophy presentation.
Awards Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in class. Credits or Refunds of 100% can be granted at any time prior to the closing date shown on the front of this form. Mitigating circumstances will apply. No credit or refund is available if you have commenced any of the activities for which you have been accepted. Officials are volunteers giving their time so you can enjoy your sport and shall be treated with due respect. Official directions must be followed promptly, with full compliance and in good grace. Any driver or crew that has a problem with a direction from an Official shall carry out that direction immediately and then raise the issue with Oakey Motorsport Club Driver Liaison Person for consideration. This event is run under whole of track safety conditions Caution must be given the utmost consideration. You must understand & accept your responsibility under this condition before you enter the track. Abandonment The Organizer reserve the right to abandon, cancel, postpone, terminate or alter the event. Three completed runs will be considered a meeting.
