President s Message The weather for our July meeting was perfect for the venue at Wagner s Drive-In, some back-van distributions, racing reminiscence, and a lot of good suggestions! We are excited with the possibilities and are anticipating that this will result in some great Club improvements in the near future. Club Officers are exploring options for a Fall Show and will have updates at the next meeting. Street Machine Nationals had a rainy start but turned out to be a nice weekend. Four Members showed up to the tent and enjoyed the rest of the weekend, including burnout contests on both days - with only one entry to represent Pontiacs. Summers are busy so this is short, but I hope you enjoy your August and stay safe. See you at the next meeting (A&W in Inver Grove Heights)! Tony Miller, Tomahawk Chief Page 2

July Meeting Minutes 7/18/18 We met at Wanger s Drive In. The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m. There were 15 members present. Todd read last month minutes. No treasurer s report. Old Business: Feather car show banners were discussed. No action was taken. At the GM show we had a record number of Pontiacs. Thanks to everyone who helped. A member asked if dues paid cover our costs to print and mail the newsletter. Paul B. said the dues cover the cost. Also noted was we have about 30 electronic members. Tony is in contact with Valley about a Fall car show. Nothing to report. August Membership Meeting August 21st 7:00 p.m. A & W Drive-In 9061 Buchanan Trl Inver Grove Heights, MN New Business: Summer Nationals next weekend, Mark B. will help set up. Paul B. passed around a flyer for the POCI 2019 Gettysburg event. Tom asked if we ever had a meeting with a guest speaker. This may be interesting to for winter meetings. We are planning a picnic for fall, details at next month s meeting (August 21st at the A&W Inver Grove Heights @ 7:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 7:34 p.m. Submitted by Gary Johnson, Tomahawk Chapter Secretary Page 3

Meanwhile... Back at the Pontiac Ranch I hope everyone is having a great summer and getting in lots of windshield time with their collector vehicles. We are in the midst of planning a Fall car show at Route 65 Sales & Classics in Ham Lake (see page 6 for information). Please help us promote the event. We will bring flyers to the next membership meeting. Keep those Ponchos smokin!
