Note: It is recommended that protective glasses be worn during installation. At no time should anyone be underneath the Tipster without using a proper safety device. When drilling holes into the pick-up bed or dash, care must be taken to ensure no wires or hoses are damaged. Installation Instructions 1. A. Remove the tailgate of pick-up truck including the hardware. B. Certain trucks may need to have the bumper lowered in order to have the tailgate work properly. C. Remove any obstructions off rear floor vertical face of pick-up truck (light clusters, etc.) 2. Drill two 11/16 or 5/8 holes in the bottom of the pick-up bed near the front right hand side, as shown. Insert provided grommets into the holes. TAILGATE CAB A CAB 1.25 1.00 DETAIL A 1.00 HOLES FOR CABLES DRAWING #: D10136 PAGE 1 OF 7 ISSUE DATE: 07DEC2009

Secure the cables adequately to frame of pick-up truck 19. Mark the desired location of the toggle switch in the dashboard. Drill a ½ hole, insert the toggle switch and tighten. Extreme care is required to avoid damage to dash wiring/ or comp. 20. Feed the 3 wire cable up the firewall to the switch in the dash. 21. Use the heat shrink tubing supplied and attach the wires to the toggle switch, as per wiring drawing. Finish the wiring by attaching the battery cable to the positive terminal of the battery (see wiring diagram) through the150a fuse provided. 22. Add Dexron III transmission fluid, if required, below breather cap of reservoir tank with hoist down. IMPORTANT NOTE: The double acting tailgate should be used properly. Use the lower handle on the bottom of the tailgate to open the lower pins when dumping the material. Do not operate the Tipster when the top pins of the tailgate are open.
