Cat Back Exhaust System 2013+ SRT/ GTS Viper Please take time to read and understand these installation instructions. CORSA recommends that the installation of this system be performed by a qualified service center or professional muffler installer who has the necessary equipment, tools and experienced personnel. However, if you decide to perform this install, the use of a hoist and an additional person will be required. CAUTION: Never work on a hot exhaust system. Allow time for the vehicle to cool. Always wear eye protection when working under a vehicle. Factory Exhaust System Removal: 1. In order to access the muffler, you must first remove the side sill. It is recommended that one side is completed at a time during the sill removal process. (Fig A.) 2. To gain access to the fasteners you must first remove the rear wheel using the 19mm deep wall socket. Refer to owner s manual for proper lifting procedure. Make sure to secure the car using jack stands. (Fig B.) 3. Using the T27 Torx driver, remove the five screws located on the inner rear wheel well liner. (Fig C.) 4. Using the 10mm shallow socket and ratchet, remove the bolt from the inside upper rear wheel well. (Fig D.) 5. Using the T27 Torx driver, remove the two screws located beneath the car on the sill. (Fig E.) 6. Gently pry out inner wheel well liner to access the bracket connecting the sill to the car. (Fig F.) 7. Using the short 10mm wrench, remove the two nuts holding the bracket in place. Once the nuts are off, remove the bracket from the car. (Fig G.) 8. Using the 10mm shallow socket and ratchet, remove the seven bolts holding the sill to the bottom side of the car. (Fig H.) 9. Using the T27 Torx socket, remove the three screws on the inner front fender. (Fig I.) 10. Open the hood and using the 8mm socket and 1/4 drive ratchet and extension, remove the three bolts on the top side on the sill located towards the front of the car. (Fig J.) 11. Using the T27 Torx socket with extension, remove the rubber hood stop. (Fig K.) 12. Open the driver side door. Using the phillips head screwdriver, remove the three screws holding the aluminum plate to the car. (Fig L.) 13. Using the phillips head screw driver, remove an additional screw located near the door hinge. (Fig M.) 14. Carefully remove the side sill from the vehicle. (Fig N.)

15. Repeat steps 2-14 for removal of the sill on the opposite side. Once the sill is removed you have two options: 1) Reinstall wheels and lower vehicle 2) Leave car secured on stands. The car must be stable in order to remove the exhaust safely. 16. Using the 13mm wrench, loosen the two bolts that secure the rear muffler hanger mount. (Fig O.) 17. Using the 15mm socket, loosen the nuts on both front muffler clamps. (Fig P.) 18. Slide the muffler rearward to free it from the catalytic converter pipe and remove it from the vehicle. When removing the muffler it may be beneficial to bend the metal heat shield away from the muffler to allow for more clearance. (Fig Q.) Note: The use of penetrating lubricant spray on the pipe joint may aid in removal. 19. Repeat steps 16-18 for the opposite side. This concludes the removal process.

Installation of CORSA Exhaust System: NOTE: Apply the anti-seize lubricant (supplied) to the threads ONLY of all the clamps and flange bolts. Failure to follow this procedure can cause nuts to seize on clamps and potentially destroy threads. After applying anti-seize lubricant, be sure to thoroughly clean your hands, as lubricant will tarnish stainless steel. All clamps should be tightened using a properly calibrated Torque Wrench. Using an air impact gun will damage the clamp and reduce its ability to effectively seal the joint. It may also cause the joint to separate, thereby causing damage to your exhaust system and to your vehicle. NOTE: Align all clamps so that the center of the clamp bolt is 90 degrees from the notch in the pipe. (See Fig. CLAMP) 1. Remove all exhaust system components from the shipping boxes, including the four clamps and the hardware. 2. Locate a 2.50 clamp and a muffler inlet adapter. Properly install the clamp on to the adapter (See CLAMP Note) and slide it onto cat-pipe. (Fig R.) Rotate the adapter until the clearance hole aligns with the button on the stock cat pipe, and slide on until the adapter bottoms out. Secure the adapter with a 15mm socket and ratchet (Fig. S) 3. Locate a 3 clamp and slide it onto the inlet of the muffler. (Fig T.) Slide the muffler hanger through the rear hanger bracket, and then slide the muffler inlet onto the adapter. (Fig U.) To hold the muffler in place, snug the clamp using the 15mm deep socket and ratchet. (Fig V.) NOTE: The use of a soap and water solution may aid in the removal of hanger grommets. 4. Install the washer and supplied Nylok nut onto the threaded hanger rod. Tighten nut using a 19mm wrench until it contacts the factory hanger bracket. (Fig W.) 5. The muffler must be rotated about the inlet connection until the oval outlet is correctly positioned in the side sill. Rotate the muffler until the top of the oval outlet is 4 from the metal lip on the door directly above it. (Fig X.) This is a good starting point for correct tip alignment. Snug the muffler inlet clamp until the muffler no longer rotates and will not drop during positioning. 6. Carefully fit the side sill back onto the car to check tip clearance. (It is recommended that two people fit the sill to reduce the chance of damage to the body or paint.) Do not install fasteners at this time. Check alignment of tip in the opening of the sill cover. Remove sill cover and adjust muffler position as needed to correct any misalignment of the oval outlet. Adjustments can be made by sliding the muffler front to back, or rotating the assembly. It is recommended that the final tip alignment favors the front of the sill opening to allow for thermal expansion. Once proper clearance is verified, tighten the 15mm nuts on the clamps. Torque to 45 ft-lbs. (Fig Y.) 7. Reinstall the side sill. Reference the Stock System Removal steps 2-14. Installation is reverse of removal.

8. Repeat steps 2-7 for the opposite side. NOTE: During cold weather start-ups, you may experience an exhaust sound that is deeper and louder in tone than usual. This is temporary and will diminish to normal levels once your engine has reached its normal operating temperature. NOTE: Immediately following the installation of your exhaust system, you may experience a trace of smoke after initial start-up. DO NOT be alarmed. The smoke is caused by the burning of a small amount of forming oil residue used in the manufacturing process.
