Subersible Sewage Pups TSURUMI UNIVERSE is a new brand of products fro TSURUMI, a leading copany in the field of subersible pups for over 9 years. It has been developed to further spread TSURUMI products to arkets around the world. Based on years of research and achieveents, the brand was developed with the ai of enhancing copetitiveness, while providing qualities equivalent to conventional odels and TSURUMI s original features and functions. Now, after thorough preparation, we are releasing our NH-series pups under the new brand nae of TSURUMI UNIVERSE. The NH-series pups of the TSURUMI UNIVERSE brand are heavy-duty subersible sewage pups ade of cast iron. In addition to the wide range of specifications featuring to discharge bore diaeters and.7 to 7 otor output capacities, the NH-series offers a variety of product lineups with three types of ipellers: Channel, Cutter and Vortex types. The guide rail fitting device is applicable to all odels, enabling easy installation and aintenance. Equipped with a channel ipeller, the NHB and NH series are TSURUMI s basic type of pups and provide excellent foreign object passage. The NHC-series features cutter pups built with a cobination of a channel ipeller and a specially structured suction cover, in which a tungsten carbide alloy cutting edge is brazed to the ipeller vane, thus enabling foreign objects to be shredded at the suction port while puping. The NHU-series provides a sei-vortex structure equipped with a vortex ipeller, whereby iniizing potential troubles caused by clogging of fibrous foreign objects. The NH-series pups are applicable to a wide spectru of fields, such as raw water transfer in purifying tanks (Johkasou/septic tanks), wastewater treatent facilities, puping stations and flood prevention equipent, and reservoirs of recreational facilities, as well as drainage of sewage and wastewater. These pups integrate original technologies TSURUMI has perfected via years of research and achieveents, to note our anti-wicking cable, dual inside echanical seals with silicon carbide face, and Oil Lifter. In addition, with a design that thoroughly considers pup durability and wear resistance, these pups enable continuous duty for a long period of tie. TSURUMI products feature a highly reliable design that ensures excellent durability and stable quality, contributes to stable operations of facilities, and results in rearkably reduced aintenance costs. 1 2

It has a wide channel extending fro inlet to exit, which allows the pup to pass the solid atters fro inflow to discharge with inial blockage. Two sintered tungsten carbide alloy edges are brazed on two ipeller vanes, and they rotate on a saw-tooth suction port of a suction cover. This echanis allows to cut up the foreign atters flowed into the ipeller to discharge the. The ipeller is a vortex type. The rotation of the ipeller produces a whirling, centrifugal action between the ipeller and pup casing. Being coupled with a wide pup casing, even large solids and fibrous atters can be puped out without obstruction. Tsurui offers two types of float switches (liquid level sensors). A icro-switch is incorporated in both types. Model MC-2 is a heavy-duty type float switch with a shock absorber. Having equipped with a high grade icro switch, the MC-2 assures trouble-free operation in the liquid containing uch suspended solids and floating scu. Either of the two contacts, norally-open or norally-close, can be selected as required. Model RF- is an econoy type float which can detect upper/lower liit water levels with single float. The snap on-off action ensures stable operation in clean or waste water containing suspended solids or oil and fat. 3

Shrouded Channel Ipeller with Axial Gap Structure (NHB) Model NHB * Soe odels consist of radial gap structure. Tsurui's sewage pups have been developed on the following two design concepts. Stable pup perforance over long periods of tie Iproved aintainability and durability 1 2 This axial gap structure is intended to prevent troubles caused by perforance drop, cavitation and clogging due to ingested foreign objects, which ay incur with pups over extended operation. The structure itself is fored by a closed type ipeller and suction cover, and is adopted for any odels of Tsurui pups to fulfill this purpose. Feature With the axial gap structure, the gap between the ipeller and suction cover is perpendicular to the shaft. On the other hand, with a radial gap structure, the gap is parallel to the shaft. In other words, assuing the sae increase in gap width due to wear, pup perforance drop of the axial gap structure is considerably saller than that of the radial gap structure. With the axial gap structure, pup perforance and efficiency can be aintained, even under ipeller wear, by adjusting the gap between the ipeller and suction cover with packing, etc. This reduces aintenance costs and ensures stable perforance over long periods of tie. 3 Furtherore, Tsurui's own technical investigations and any years of research have shown the axial gap structure to be ore advantageous against clogging by fibrous aterials, a proble that afflicts sewage pups in general. 7 9 Water Jacket (NHB and above) The pup is equipped with a water jacket, around the otor frae. A portion of the puped liquid is allowed to flow into the water jacket to cool the otor. This design feature perits the unit to operate at low water levels for extended periods of tie. Dual Inside Mechanical Seals with Silicon Carbide Faces Shrouded Channel Ipeller with Axial Gap Structure Isolated in the oil chaber where a clean, non-corrosive and abrasion-free lubricating environent is aintained. Copared with the water-cooled outside echanical seal, it reduces the risk of failure caused by dry-heating and adhering atter. The silicon carbide provides ties higher corrosion, wear and heat resistance than the tungsten carbide. Rubber parts of the upper and lower fixing rings are ade of NBR or FPM (FKM), which provides higher resistance to heat and cheicals. Oil Lifter [Patented] 11 Provides lubrication and cooling of the seal faces down to 1/3 of noral oil level, thus aintaining a stable shaft sealing effect and prolonging seal life longer. 7 Leakage Sensor (11 and above) Detects flooding into the oil chaber that ay occur in a worst case scenario. When flooding is detected, signals are sent to operate the indicator laps through the external control panel. 1 Anti-wicking Cable Entry Prevents water incursion due to capillary action should the cable sheath be daaged or the end of cable suberged. Also prevents oist air fro infiltrating the otor housing and condensation fro foring inside the housing due to teperature differences between the housing and outside air. 2 Air Release Valve *excluding soe odels Fitted on the water jacket and/or the pup casing to prevent the air lock. When air flows through the valve, the ball stays at the botto, but when the puped water starts to flow, the ball closes the outlet because of its buoyancy. 3 Motor Protector Circle Theral Protector (7. and below) Directly cuts the otor circuit if excessive heat builds up or overcurrent occurs in the otor. Miniature Theral Protector (11 and above) React to excessive heat caused by dry-running. The bietal strip opens to cause the control panel to shut the power supply. Single/Triple Oil Seals + Labyrinth Ring (NHB and above) Used as a Dust Seal, single or triple oil seals protect the echanical seal fro abrasive particles. The labyrinth ring is equipped to provide a better countereasure against wear caused by high pressure generated in the casing and iprove the aintainability for pups of and above. 9 Seal Pressure Relief Ports (NHB 22 and above, and NH, NHC. and above) Protect the echanical seal fro pup pressure. They also protect the seal face by discharging wear particles. Mouth Ring & Wear Ring (NHB and above) Prevent wear in the pup casing and suction cover, resulting in reduced aintenance costs. 11 Back Pull-out Design (NHU 2.2 & 3.7 only) Enables the otor to be separated fro the pup unit with the ipeller attached, by reoving the bolts between the oil casing and the pup casing. This design facilitates aintenance and inspection of the principal parts of the pup.

NHB -Channel Ipeller, -pole- The NHB-series is a subersible channel ipeller pup designed for handling raw sewage, wastewater and heavy-duty industrial applications, where the pup is subject to coplete subersion and requires axiu reliability. A shrouded channel ipeller practically prevents internal clogging and enables the pup to efficiently transfer sewage and wastewater containing solid atters. Two tungsten carbide alloy edges blazed on the ipeller vane on the serrated suction cover. This echanis cuts incoing fibrous aterial into pieces, peritting sooth passage of fibrous aterial. NHU -Vortex Ipeller, 2-pole- The NHU-series is a heavy-duty subersible pup equipped with a vortex ipeller for puping sewage and wastewater. The sei-vortex design provides a solids passage that is 7% or ore* of the discharge bore, thus reducing troubles caused by the clogging of fibrous solids to a iniu.
