Included: -1x bolt 6mm x 30mm -3x nuts and 3x washers -repositioning bracket -2x lighted plate bolts -license plate frame -2x plastic zip ties -Adhesive pads -7 butt splices -rubber screw cap Lay your license plate into the back of the frame, then lay the bracket on the back of the plate. Remove the nut and washer from the plate lights 2
Insert the plate light wires through the frame, license plate and bracket holes. reinstall the washer and nut on both plate lights, loosely Align the plate lights so that they point down at an angle towards your license plate then tighten them down. (It is a good idea to test these lighted plate bolts, with a 12v power source at this point. while they were tested and Do work, some (occasionally and hardly ever) are wired opposite, and require red to be negative and black to be positive. If this is the case with either of these, keep that in mind when wiring later.) 3
Fold the plate LED wire behind the plate and use the included adhesive pad to hold it to the back of the plate as shown. Remove the 2 allen bolts that hold the cover on Cut the wires going to the license plate light and to the turn signals, cut them close to the holes they go into, leaving as much wire attached to the bike as possible, Mark which wire set is left and right turn signal. 4
From under the fender, remove the 3 bolts that hold the stock bracket to the fender. Insert the provided 30mm bolt in the lower of the 3 holes, from the underside of the fender, and secure it with a lock washer and nut. After tightened, install the provided rubber cap onto the exposed threads of the bolt as shown. (It is best to do wiring at this time, as the space gets cramped once everything is bolted down.) Wiring: push both right and left turn signal wires through the back of the hole in the center of the bracket and use the provided red butt splices to attach them to the left and right turn signal LED s. Cut and splice with butt crimps the plate light bolt wires both to the wires from the bike that went to the plate light. See wiring chart on the last page for reference on most of these model bikes. Then push all excess wire back through into the fender and secure it in place with the provided plastic zip ties. (A note on LED lights, keep in mind that LED lights only work one way, so positive must go to positive and negative to negative) 5
To attach your new plate setup, use 2 of the factory bolts you removed, inserting them from the underside of the fender and out through the holes in the bracket. (shown here without a plate attached, for clarity) use a provided lock washer and nut on each of them to secure the bracket to the fender loosely. Now adjust the bracket left and right to center it on your bike, then tighten the bolts down, while holding the nuts with a flat wrench. 6
