Concrete is being pumped underground from the street level. Similar work will be done at the Wilshire/Fairfax. 25
Wilshire/Crescent Heights Tunnel Investigation, January 2019 Investigative drilling in advance of tunneling anticipated at Wilshire Bl/Crescent Heights Bl beginning January 2019 Expected traffic control: Non-rush hour weekday lane reductions on Wilshire Bl Typical work hours, 9am 3:30pm Weekend directional closures of Wilshire Bl and/or Crescent Heights Bl Typical work hours 7am 11pm. Approximate work locations at Wilshire/Crescent Heights. Intermittent sidewalk closures with pedestrian detours 26

Staging Yard Mitigation La Cienega Yard Gale Yard Active ventilation fans and fan lines were wrapped with sound blankets 24 steel frame placed around the ventilation system with sound blankets 14 fences with sound blankets placed around the crane (reduced the noise by 3 dba) Applied an acoustic dampening material to the 895 crane engine enclosure Added a muffling panel on the exhaust door and engine compartment door Relocated slew alarm Added a noise barrier rubber mat to the lower engine panels Acoustic plate under mounted on the crane counterweight Adjusted the crane start up schedule, when possible Started closing the gate, when feasible 35
