H LEASE MARKET REPORT

Transcription:

The luxury market has been increasing in sales and traffic and shows no signs of slowing down. As the economy has become more stable since the recession, consumers have been willing to spend on prestigious brands, especially as many of these brands have moved downstream in an effort to capture more sales. The luxury compact crossover segment in particular has been a fast riser, with new entrants from storied brands such as the Audi Q3, Lexus NX, BMW X1, Mercedes Benz GLA, and more, all starting at price points in the low to mid $30,000s. We are also seeing more and more alternative fuel options across luxury lineups, something that should continue to expand at a rapid pace. One key segment that hasn t been broached fully is the electric SUV segment, and we expect OEMs to start announcing more product out in this space soon, kicking off with the Tesla Model X later in. The HR V and Jeep Renegade also make strong debuts and are anticipated to dominate the subcompact CUV/SUV segment. As strives to solidify its top spot, it should consider strengthening its CUV/SUV model line up by including a subcompact competitor 1 9 15 IN SHARE OF TRAFFIC ON KBB.com MOST INCREASED SHARE OF TRAFFIC QoQ ON KBB.com MOST INCREASED SHARE OF TRAFFIC YoY ON KBB.com 2% 2% 1% 1% 0% 1% 1% 2% 2% YoY QoQ Chrysler Dodge Fiat GMC Hyundai Jeep Kia Mazda MINI Mitsubishi Ram Scion Smart Volkswagen % Share 30% 2 20% 0% Jun 14 Jul 14 Aug 14 Sep 14 Oct 14 Nov 14 Dec 14 Jan 15 Feb 15 Mar 15 Apr 15 May 15 Jun 15
