PV Solar as an Option to complement the Peruvian electrical energy mix in the future April 2014 1
Using the power of the sun since hundreds of years Inti or Tayta Inti was the Sun-God and the god of the rainbow. His wife was Mama Killa. His sun Manco Cápac was born out of the froth of the Titicaca lake. Together with his sister Mama Ocllo he was sent to earth equipped with the golden post Tupayawri to improve the world. Arriving on earth they found a copious land were they build the city of Qusqu. April 2014 2

bejulo is a new company established by specialists, with lots of experience working in the renewable market and who are well connected in the international utility scale PV project area. Together with strong partners, we will be able to offer the complete range required for a renewable energy project, from project development to project financing. About bejulo We are focusing on turn key projects, Hybrid Solutions and PPA sales of energy. We handle large scale PV projects, as well as hybrid solutions including short-term / long-term storage. We are also looking after Wind projects. In combination with an intelligent management system controlling the virtual power plant will become real. Please join us for more details about the vision of a renewable energy future. April 2014 4
Financial and Infrastructure A major part of bejulo is owned by a German company in the industry market. Strong financial support will be provided in order to complete large scale renewable energy projects worldwide. Company Structure We operate worldwide with subsidiaries in major countries like Peru, Japan, China, Singapore, Australia, Canada, USA, Europe, South Africa and several smaller countries. Technical service and infrastructure are fully up and running. Expertise Well known management expertise in the renewable energy markets around the world. All major functions in bejulo are held by people, who have 5 to 10 years experience in the renewable energy business. Having worked in different functions and in various companies, we are experienced in acquisition, project development, project management, design, construction and O&M and will be able to provide full support on all levels. Strong investor contacts complete the portfolio. April 2014 5
EPC / Turnkey Projects Business Model EPC / Turnkey Focus is on turnkey solutions. Besides the classic EPC deal, we will provide support in project development, in the permitting process by getting the grid connection licenses, as well as supporting project finance. Parts used in the plant design are of premium quality. Procurement will be done together with the owner of the plant, to make sure that the right level between quality and price is established. In order to find the optimum performance of the plant, a master procurement plan will be provided to the owner. Having the experience of several 100 MWp worldwide, we established a strong team of sub-contractors to carry out the construction work. Whenever possible we will train local people to enable them working in the renewable energy business. Construction management and training will be done by well trained bejulo technicians. Aware of the very different restrictions around the globe, we are strongly focussing on the commissioning. Involving all parties relevant for the commissioning is the key to get it done successfully. Grid connection in foreign countries could be the most difficult part in getting a renewable energy plant up and running. The key to success is a good partnership with the local grid companies and taking care of their specific needs and requirements. April 2014 6
Small and mid-size Off Grid Basic solution with PV Solar connected to the existing infrastructure. The advanced system will include battery and system management together with the PV plant. Hybrid solutions / Fuel Saver By expanding the advanced system with small diesel generators including an intelligent management we will achieve the comfortable solution delivering energy 24/7. Planning, procurement, construction and O&M training are part of the full service offer. Fuel Saver / Hybrid plant Rising Diesel cost will make energy from Gen-Sets expensive. An intelligent solution is to complement the Gen-Sets with solar plants including an intelligent control unit fully able to control the system by taking care of the specifics of the Gen-Sets. Depending on the individual load profile a substitution of more than 50% is possible. Payback time will be 3 to 10 years, depending of the Diesel cost and local characteristics. April 2014 7

Possible business cases for mining companies EPC / Turn Key Projects Options for mining companies Turnkey solutions. Besides the classic EPC deal, we will provide support in project development, in the permitting process by getting the grid connection licenses, as well as project financing. As a turnkey partner, we can provide support with our expertise and strong contacts in the market places. For a MWp system cost will be on a level of 1,100 to 1,150 US$ / kwp installed. PPA The PV plant will be owned by an external investor and he will sell the produced energy to the mining company based on a PPA contract. We do have good contacts to investment companies in the Peruvian market as well as into international investment markets. On a PPA base the cost of energy could be as low as 85 US$ / MWh. Fuel Saver Systems Specifically for companies that need to produce their energy on site with Diesel generators cost could be reduced significantly by using a fully automated system combined with solar energy. bejulo can provide a detailed analysis for the possibilities tailor-made for the necessities in place. Comparing the cost for production of energy with Diesel for approximately 250 US$ / MWh and seeing the possibility to produce solar energy for 85 US$ / MWh the high potential savings get visible. For being able to offer the energy 24/7 it is of course also possible to combine the PV system with other energy producing systems, e.g. biomass or mini-hydro or to install storage systems.
