Honda Explorer Post Skill modules for Express competencies are being developed by the Explorer Technical Committee. They will be launched to the AYES instructors during the conference. VoTech week this year is planed to assist the AYES AND other area VoTech instructors gain the skills necessary to deliver and prepare their students to be able to pass the Express Service Test at their local 9 PACT school

Certification Timeframe: 45 Minute Rotations Objectives: The student will be able to safely perform a Solo Tech, A Service with oil filter change demonstrating efficiency and 100% accuracy. The student will be able to safely perform a Tech A&B, B2 Service demonstrating efficiency and 100% accuracy. Evaluation: This is a Pass or Fail Certification. You will be expected to correctly identify and note items that need attention during your vehicle inspection as well as correctly, efficiently, and safely execute each service Solo Tech, A Service with oil filter change and Tech A and B, B2 Service. Express Service: Maintenance Minder A with Oil Filter Change Complete a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection including: Inspect horn, wipers/washers, parking brake (and clutch free play if applicable) Inspect interior and exterior lights Perform Battery Test Replace Engine Oil and Oil Filter Inspect undercarriage, exhaust system and suspension components Inspect tire condition, record and adjust tire pressures Communicate inspection results to Instructor Run engine and recheck oil level Explain maintenance minder reset procedure Express Service: Maintenance Minder B2 Tech A and B Complete a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection including: Tech A Inspect horn, wipers/washers, parking brake (and clutch free play if applicable) Inspect interior and exterior lights Inspect rear undercarriage, exhaust system & left-side suspension components Remove left-side wheels and inspect brakes Rotate and reinstall left-side wheels Inspect left-side tire condition, record and adjust tire pressures Replace A/C pollen filter Explain maintenance minder reset procedure Tech B Perform Battery Test Replace Engine Oil and Filter Inspect front under carriage, exhaust system and right-side suspension components Remove right-side wheels & inspect brakes Rotate and reinstall right-side wheels Inspect right-side tire condition, record and adjust tire pressures Communicate inspection results to Instructor Run engine and recheck oil level Replace engine air filter Lubricate locks and hinges Check and adjust spare tire pressure 12
