Important: Please read each step of these instructions carefully prior to commencing installation! Place these instructions in the vehicle s glovebox after installation is complete! Important: Do not use this product in any other motor vehicle for which it is not designed. Do not use any other mounting location/method other than described in this instruction. It is advisable to seek assistance of another person when installing this product. Do not repair or modify the Nudge Bar and/or its mounting bracket in any way. Repair or modification may effect proper operation of the airbag resulting in serious injury. Do not remove the label from the Nudge Bar. Stubborn grime can be removed with kerosene. Polished surfaces can be maintained with Autosol metal polish or similar products. Use as recommended. SK62 Page 2 of 6
. Remove the Radiator Shroud Phillips Screwdriver Remove 9 scrivets and detach the radiator shroud. Figure. Remove the Radiator Shroud 2. Detach the Front Bumper Underside 7mm Socket 2mm Socket Remove 4 small screws and 3 bolts, holding the underside of the front bumper. Figure 2. Detach the Front Bumper Underside 3. Detach the Bumper Ends 7mm Socket From within the front wheel arches, remove the 3 screws shown, from each side of the vehicle. Figure 3. Detach the Bumper Ends SK62 Page 3 of 6
4. Remove the Front Bumper Firmly pull each end of the bumper away from the vehicle, to disengage the plastic clips retaining it. Once each end is free, carefully remove the bumper from the front of the vehicle. Note: For those vehicles with front foglamps, you will also need to detach the wiring from the rear of each lamp at this stage. FOG LAMP Figure 4. Remove the Front Bumper 5. Fit the Mounting Brackets Fit the Mounting Brackets in place on the bumper beam. Figure 5. Fit the Mounting Brackets 6. Temporarily Fit the Nudge Bar Temporarily fit the Nudge Bar to the Mounting Brackets, using the 4x M0x30mm Hex Bolts, 4x M0 Flat Washers, and 4x M0 Nylock Nuts. Figure 6. 7. Clamp and Drill the Bumper Beam 0mm Drill Bit Power Drill Centre the Nudge Bar to the vehicle, and clamp the Mounting Brackets firmly to the bumper beam. Using the Mounting Bracket holes as a template, drill through the bumper beam in these 4 locations. Figure 7. Clamp and Drill the Bumper Beam 8. Fasten the Mounting Brackets 6mm Socket/Spanner 7mm Spanner/Spanner Insert the 4x M0x00mm Hex Bolts (with M0 Flat Washers) through the front of the bumper beam, and Mounting Brackets. Using the remaining M0 Flat Washers, and M0 Nylock Nuts, fully tighten the Mounting Brackets. Figure 8. Fasten the Mounting Brackets 9. Remove the Nudge Bar Remove the Nudge Bar from the Mounting Brackets. Remove the g-clamps. Figure 9. Remove the Nudge Bar SK62 Page 5 of 6
0. Modify the Front Bumper Bar Grille Hacksaw Blade C E N T R E Cut out three horizontal sections from each side of the front bumper grille, as shown. L I N E CUT AWAY THIS SECTION Figure 0. Modify the Front Bumper Bar Grille. Re-fit the Bumper and Radiator Shroud Follow steps # to #4 in reverse, to refit the bumper and radiator shroud. Figure. Re-fit the Bumper and Radiator Shroud 2. Re-fit the Nudge Bar 6mm Socket/Spanner 7mm Spanner/Spanner Re-fit the Nudge Bar to the Mounting Brackets, ensuring adequate clearance between the ends and the bumper.
