THE 4m2 BOX CONTAINS - 4 units of solar collectors, each 33cm x 3m (4 m2 (and o-rings) - 8 metre nylon band to attach the headers and the absorber - repair set and lubricant - two adaptors 50 mm in black ABS (C6 and C13) - two threaded adaptors 1 1/2" in black ABS (C8 and C9) - two reducing sockets (C12) in black ABS - one threaded stop 1 1/2"in black ABS - tie-wraps - installation guide How to install the swimming pool collectors These solar collectors should be directed to the sun as much as possible for a maximum efficiency. Please take sufficient safety precautions before working on a roof. 1. Put the solar collectors side by side in front of you with the narrow part of the headers to the left, on a clean flat surface: the header (Ø 50 mm) with name must be visible and placed in front in such a way that the bulb-shaped rubber arches between the tubes of the absorber, are lying upwards. The bulbs can also point down with the same efficiency, but then all absorbers must point down. 2. Click the 3 headers together (1m) and pay attention that there is an o-ring (45 x 3,5 mm) in the groove. (1 m roll is easy to take on a roof) 3. Push the rubber edges together so the absorbers are united as a whole (rain water can flow among the holes: make sure that the holes aren t blocked especially on a flat roof) 4. Attach the suspension band to the clip every two headers in order to fasten the headers to the roof 5. Clean the roof surface where the solar collectors are to be glued every 50 cm. 6. Roll up the 1 m collector, starting with the headers visible print. 7. Fasten the nylon strip at the upper end of the roof and around the header and unroll the collector while fixing the absorber on to the roof with silicone glue (like Fix-all Soudal) every 50 cm. 8. Also fasten the nylon band at the lower end of the roof around the header in the middle of the header. 9. An extra black nylon band could be placed across the absorber in windy areas. 10. The flow-back is provided at the highest point in order to make sure that all collectors are filled with water. An aerating valve, to prevent vacuum or overpressure should be installed here. 11. The collectors can withstand a 2 bar peak water pressure (the normal working pressure of a circulation pump is 1 bar). Never connect the collectors to the main water supply (3 bar)
12. Rinse the collectors thoroughly to prevent any rubber taste ending up in your pool. This should also been done when starting up the system after winter. 13. The collector should be connected diagonally to your system. Photoes for reference
