Did You Know... Your garbage and recycling containers should be 5 feet apart. Makes for more effective pick up and less breakage. If you have any trouble with garbage and recycling pick up or your cans are damaged, just call the Town Clerk s office and we can help with any garbage needs. Town Clerk s office: 518-753-4222 If you are not registered to vote, you can pick up a form at the Town Hall or it can be mailed to you. Also if you need to update your voter information that can be done on the same form. Just send back to Board of Elections to the address on form. For your convenience the Town Clerk can now accept credit card payments at her office. There is a 2.49% processing fee or a $1.95 minimum charge; the fee goes to the credit card companies; not the Town. The Town website address is townofpittstown.org Just a reminder that the two TAM cans - one for waste and one for recycling belong to the hauler, not to the town or to the resident. If you should move, the can stays with the residence. Do not remove them. If the waste can is not large enough for your needs, an additional toter can be provided for an additional annual fee of $ 150.00 payable to the town; this does not mean you own the toter, you would be paying the the disposal. As a reminder, the recycling toter is just for recycling; not trash. Non-curbside items will not be disposed of. You should always put your cans out for collection the night before. TAM will not come back to pick up any cans that are missed by not having them out for collection. Please refer to the calendar for your holiday collection schedule.
