Few things you should know about the SV Shock absorbers Shock absorbers are very critical components of vehicle. They are needed for eliminating unwanted and excess motion in the body and suspension. Without shock absorbers, vehicles would sway in an uncontrollable fashion, tyres would wear down too soon and even braking and cornering would be unpredictable adventure. Shock absorbers must also keep the tire in maximum contact with the road surface. Shock absorbers do have a huge role in vehicle stability and what is the most important they ensure your safety. www.sv-shocks.com www.sv-amortizator.ru

How does the shock absorber work? Basically the shock absorber is the equipment which changes the kinetic energy of movement into thermal energy! In a shock absorber oil is forced through piston and base valves thus causing hydraulic friction which is known as damping forces. Shock absorbers work in two directions, called compression cycle (the closing) and extension cycle (the opening). When the piston goes downwards some oil goes through the piston valves to the upper side of the piston, and at the same time the volume of oil (the equivalent of the piston rod volume) is forced out of the cylinder tube through the base valve to the reservoir tube. When the piston moves upwards, oil from the top of the piston returns through the piston valves to the underside of the piston, and at the same time the oil volume (the equivalent of the piston rod volume) comes back to the cylinder tube How much resistance the shock absorber produces depends very much on the construction, on the pistons and the used spring plates, but also on the speed of the suspension. (higher velocity generates bigger damping forces) Orifices in piston Spring plate valve

Are there any differences between shock absorber brands? Every company who manufactures shock absorbers assures that they use the best materials and have the best design. However the fact is that all these "bests" are not equal. There are real differences in the materials, tolerances, and the actual internal designs between manufacturers. Very often some manufactures save money with gaskets, piston rods, tubes and other important parts of the shock absorber. Keep in mind that the materials used, and design determines how long the shock absorber will survive. Our ideology has always been to make the best possible product with a price that is still competitive. As a flexible manufacture we have the capability to produce highly customized products; however we will not make compromises. Our products are optimized to give the driver the feeling that he is driving the vehicle, not the other way round. Our shock absorbers are thorough tested -Actually every single shock absorber is totally tested (also by real human) before leaving the SV factory

Are there any differences between shock absorber brands? We think shock absorber should work for years and offer needed stability every time even in ultimate conditions It is very important that even after a long working day driving a truck or bus the driver still feels energetic enough to meet his family and friends. Bad shock absorbers force the driver to keep turning the steering wheel and as a result he gets very tired after driving only a few hours. SV is committed to help keeping vehicles on the road; this is where we think they should be, not in the workshop waiting for maintenance. Our slogan is Fit and Forget. This means that when you install a SV shock absorber, you don t have to think about them for a long-long time. SV is not the cheapest product on the market, however, we are proud to say that when you count your mileage and what you have paid for the absorbers, SV is the most economical per kilometer. Shock absorber expenses / 5 years 600 500 400 Cheaper competitor SV Eur 300 200 100 0 1 2 3 4 5 Year What is included -Shock absorber 2 pcs -Change expenses 25

About the characteristics Damping characteristics is the main property in shock absorbers, and we all agree that the shock absorber should be working well in every case. Unfortunately this is not the way it is, even with many well known products. Below we have 3 different damping characteristics and when taking a quick look, one first notices how one of them has round shapes in the graph. When looking more carefully one can see how at the start of the compression curve there is a strange kink in the characteristics of the first two shock absorbers while the SV curve starts quite nice and round. Also, the first two shock absorbers do not even work at the same way in every move, the curve moves its place slightly all the time, while SV s curve stays on its course. It is cruisially important that the damping forces come out at the beginning of the movement not when 1/5 or 1/3 is already done. These free movements are damaging the vehicle and suspension, and this can have very bad consequences when or if the vehicle has to be turned or stopped quickly.
