EQUIPMENT MISUSE HAZARD Table of Contents Symbols Parts......................................... Technical Data................................. 7 Graco Warranty................................ 8 Graco Phone Number........................... 8 Caution Symbol CAUTION This symbol alerts you to the possibility of damage to or destruction of equipment if you do not follow the instructions. WARNING Equipment misuse can cause the equipment to rupture or malfunction and result in serious injury. This equipment is for professional use only. Read all instruction manuals, tags, and labels before operating the equipment. Use the equipment only for its intended purpose. If you are not sure, call your Graco distributor. Do not alter or modify this equipment. Check equipment daily. Repair or replace worn or damaged parts immediately. Handle hoses carefully. Do not pull on hoses to move equipment. Route hoses away from traffic areas, sharp edges, moving parts, and hot surfaces. Do not expose Graco hoses to temperatures above C (150F) or below 40C ( 40F). Comply with all applicable local, state, and national fire, electrical, and safety regulations. Use only hand-powered pumps to fill the booster gun with lubricant.

INJECTION HAZARD Spray from the valve, leaks or ruptured components can inject fluid into your body and cause extremely serious injury, including the need for amputation. Fluid splashed in the eyes or on the skin can also cause serious injury. Fluid injected into the skin might look like just a cut, but it is a serious injury. Get immediate medical attention. Do not point the valve at anyone or at any part of the body. Do not put your hand or fingers over the grease fitting coupler. Do not stop or deflect leaks with your hand, body, glove or rag. Tighten all fluid connections before operating the equipment. Check the hoses, tubes, and couplings daily. Replace worn or damaged parts immediately. Do not repair high pressure couplings; you must replace the entire hose. Use only Graco approved hoses. TOXIC FLUID HAZARD Hazardous fluid or toxic fumes can cause serious injury or death if splashed in the eyes or on the skin, inhaled, or swallowed. Know the specific hazards of the fluid you are using. Store hazardous fluid in an approved container. Dispose of hazardous fluid according to all local, state and national guidelines. Always wear protective eyewear, gloves, clothing and respirator as recommended by the fluid and solvent manufacturer.

Installation Note: Numbers in parenthesis refer to callouts in the Parts List and Parts Drawing, page. 1. Place the handle lever (17) and then the carrying handle (18) on the pump head (19). Secure them with the pivot pin (1) and the retaining rings (). Install the clevis (10) and secure it with the clevis pin (14) at the top and the pivot pin (13) at the bottom. Secure the pins with the retaining rings (). 2. Apply thread sealant to the connecting rod (21) and screw it tightly into the pump head (19). 3. Connect the dispense kit (includes items 2 30) to the pump head. 4. Remove the lubricant pail cover. With the lip of the follow plate grommet (42b) UP, center the follow plate in the pail. 5. Insert the pump through the cover (41) and the follow plate. Center the cover on the pail and tighten the thumbscrews (34).. Adjust the pump so it rests on the bottom of the pail. Screw the holster (37) into the opening on the cover

Operation WARNING The maximum delivery pressure of this dispenser is 3000 psi (210 bar). The maximum delivery pressure of the lubricator gun, when charged and disconnected from the dispenser, is 10,000 psi (700 bar). Fluid emitted under such high pressure can cause serious injury. See the warnings on page 3. Charging the Dispenser 1. Slowly raise the lever handle to the fully upward position to ensure a full stroke. 2. Allow the lubricant to be drawn into the pump piston and riser tube, and then push the lever handle down. Charging the Lubricator Gun 1. Connect the dispense hose coupler to the gun s grease fitting. 2. Without squeezing the gun handle, pump the dispenser handle, using full strokes, until the lubricant flows through the outlet of the gun. The gun holds 3.5 ounces of lubricant. 3. To disconnect the coupler, twist it to one side. CAUTION To avoid damaging the the coupler, do not pull it straight off. Make sure that you twist the coupler while removing it. Greasing a Fitting 1. Wipe clean the coupler and the grease fitting on the part to be lubricated. 2. Connect the hose or gun coupler to the grease fitting. 3. Continuous delivery from the gun: Keep the hoses connected to the gun. Squeeze the gun handle and continue pumping the dispenser. Continuous delivery from the dispenser hose: Pump the handle the entire time you are dispensing. High pressure delivery, or remote dispensing: Charge the gun. Remove the dispenser hose. Squeeze and release the gun handle one or more times until the part is well lubricated. WARNING Never force lubricant into a fitting. If the lubricant is not flowing, or the coupler clogs, STOP DISPENSING IMMEDIATELY. Forcing lubricant may cause excessive back pressure, which could cause component rupture and serious injury. Replace damaged grease fittings. Service After extended use, if the pump does not deliver lubricant sufficiently and/or the lever handle feels soft and spongy when it is push downward, service the pump piston (23) and the piston ball (5). 1. Remove the pump from the pail. 2. Pull the pump lever handle upward as far as possible. 3. Insert a screwdriver into the slot at the bottom of the piston (23). Unscrew the piston. Do not lose the ball (5), spring (12), or ball stop (2), which will fall out as the piston is removed. 4. Clean all parts thoroughly with a non flammable solvent. Replace worn or damaged parts. Reassemble the dispenser.
