A great place to do business The Eco Hub has flexible business facilities ideal for meetings, conferences and training courses. All rooms have high ceilings, large windows and good lighting. The Kier Suite is a self contained space that has been purpose built for meetings and conferences. It has its own entrance, kitchenette and toilet and can be closed off from the main hall for additional privacy. Our friendly staff can provide refreshments and freshly made buffet lunches for all day meetings. We have used the Eco Hub many times and have found that from enquiry and booking to the end of the event the team have been helpful, flexible and very accommodating, no task is ever too much for them. The event space is fantastic and both the refreshments and lunch are always excellent with plenty of choice. Thank you Eco Hub team. Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB)

Why is the Eco Hub green? The multi-award winning Eco Hub is very special because it is both environmentally sustainable and economical to run. We have no gas or oil supply so generate energy from renewable sources. The Hub runs on three main technologies; the ground source heating system which extracts heat from the ground; the solar thermal panels which uses heat from the sun; and the photovoltaic cells on the roof which generate electricity. The Hub collects rain water to flush the loos and captures the maximum amount of natural light via light catchers, sun pipes and roof lights as well as large windows which provide light and ventilation. Low utility bills mean that most of the money the Eco Hub earns can be used to run the building for the benefit of the community. It was built using local contractors and materials (many recycled) and the staff and trustees are all local to Gamlingay.
