Selection Guide Selection procedure Using the product index on page 3 identify the fan type or types you require and open the product pages. The product pages are in two distinct sections. Picture for quick visual identification of the unit Unit type and size range Product specification identifing the construction, materials, enclosure and other useful data Drawing of the unit with labels for dimensions table The first section provides a picture of the product, a brief specification, dimensional details and identifies matching ancillaries, to suit the nominal size excluding controllers. The second section provides the unit code, speed, selection table, motor, full load current, maximum air temperature, speed controller, weight and sound pressure in db(a). Using the selection data choose the required supply single or three phase. Start with the required pressure in Pascals (Pa) along the top of the table, it may be necessary to interpolate between two columns. Drop down the column of the choosen pressure and find the closest volume in m 3 /s to that required. There may be more than one selection that closely matches the volume required, in which a choice can be made on other factors e.g. speed, diameter, sound, etc. Plate Axial fans 200 to 710 mm diameter ANCILLARIES Casing Galvanised sheet steel. The letters at the start denotes the fan type and usually finishes with a W for single phase and D for three phase. Selection Guide Selection procedure continued The next numbers are the nominal fan code followed by the number of poles in the motor. Unit type and size range Using the nominal code of the fan in the upper section of the product page the matching ancillaries can be identified following along the line. Along the same line on the righthand side the dimensions are detailed in millimetres and identified in the drawing above. In the centre of the section is a brief specification of the fan giving construction materials together with items like impeller details, IP rating for the motor and terminal box, installation details and sound information. On the left of this section is a picture of the product to give a quick identification of the type of fan covered by those page(s). The banner strip along the top of the page gives a brief description of the unit type and the size range. From page 54 onwards are shown the ancillary details of the codes shown on the fan pages. These are in sections covering ancillaries to suit circular fans, ancillaries to suit rectangular fans and electrical controllers covering speed control, change over, sensing and switching. The SVS models have the addition of acoustic lining for improved sound s. Impeller All models have centrifugal im - pellers. The SVV 80 is from polymers, the SVR is steel and forward curved and all other models are in polymer and backward curved centrifugal. The SVV 80 is a totally enclosed conventional motor the remainder are external rotor motors. Electrical connection The connection for the SVV 80 is internal the remainder have a IP 55 terminal box on the casing. Speed control All models are speed controllable using the models shown below.
