(3) Split lock washer 1/4 in. (3) Flat washer 1/4 in. (3) Hex nut 1/4 in. Step-by-Step Procedure 1. Position display bracket in front-right corner of cab as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1. Display installed 2. Mark locations for top (3) mounting holes and bottom mounting holes if possible. 3. Drill mounting holes using provided 9/32 in. drill bit. 4. Detach cab liner and secure bracket using provided 1/4 in. fasteners. 5. Attach display to U-bracket as shown in Figure 1. PN: 2005300-14 March 2007 Rev B 5

Metalfor Araus 1360 Installing Cab Cable & Distribution Cable Parts required for procedure: (1) Cab cable (1) Distribution cable (1) Alcohol swab packet Plastic cable clips Cable ties Step-by-Step Procedure 1. Connect rectangular D-shaped 25-pin connector of cab cable to mating connector of display. IMPORTANT: Never use force to mate electrical connectors. If connectors do not mate easily, they are not aligned properly. 2. Route cable down along cab post. Use adhesive backed cable clips to secure cable to post. 3. Route cable to right-rear corner of cab. 4. Pass cable through to exterior side of cab along with existing cables that exit cab. NOTE: It will likely be necessary to remove electrical panel for this procedure as shown in Figure 2. 5. Mate 24-pin plug connector of cab cable with 24-pin receptacle of distribution cable. Connect other ring terminal (no fuse) to a nearby chassis stud. Make sure that chassis stud is a reliable ground. 4. Route power cable forward to distribution cable. 5. Position header sensor up against frame under right side of cab as shown in Figure 6. Ensure that no interference exists between threaded rod of header sensor and cab when header sensor is in position for marking. Figure 6. Header position sensor installed 2. Mark locations of middle front and rear slots of header sensor frame onto frame of combine. 3. Punch and drill (2) holes using provided punch and 11/32 in. drill bit. 4. Fasten header sensor to combine frame using provided 5/16 in. fasteners. 5. Secure chain of threaded arm assembly to feeder house. Use an existing fastener on feeder house if available. If no fastener is available, drill an 11/32 in. hole and install a hook anchor with a 5/16 in. cap screw. 6. Connect 3-position shroud connector of header sensor cable to mating connector of distribution cable. 10 March 2007 Rev B

Metalfor Araus 1360 2. Cut hole for flow sensor as illustrated in Figure 7 using a plasma cutter or other suitable cutting tool. 3. Position flow sensor on top of elevator as shown in Figure 8. Metalfor Araus 1360 4. Drill (2) marked holes using provided 11/32-inch drill bit. 5. Install (1) 1/4-inch bar (with 2 threaded holes in it) on top of elevator over Holes A in Figure 8. Install (2) 5/16 x 1-inch button head screws with lock washers into 1/4-inch bar from inside elevator as shown in Figure 8. Make sure to tighten screws securely. 6. Measure 9.9 cm down from top edge of elevator. Mark Holes B as shown in Figure 8. Place flow sensor on top of elevator again and make a mark in center of each slot in flow sensor housing for Holes B. 7. Drill Holes B using provided 11/32-inch drill bit. Install another 1/4-inch bar on front side of elevator as shown in Figure 8. Install (2) 5/16 x 1-inch button head screws with lock washers into 1/4-inch bar from inside elevator as shown in Figure 8. Make sure to tighten screws securely. NOTE: Do not install flow sensor at this time. Deflector plate must be installed first. 8. Refer to Figure 8 and measure forward 8.9 cm from top back edge of elevator head. Make a mark across top of elevator. Mark on elevator head should be directly over top shaft of elevator. 9. Refer to Figure 8 and make 2 additional marks that intersect the mark made in the previous step. Marks should be 10.2 cm apart and centered side to side on top of elevator. It is important that these marks be centered to ensure that deflector plate will be centered inside elevator head. 10. Drill (2) marked holes for deflector plate using provided 13/32-inch drill bit. 11. Install deflector plate by positioning mounting bar (1 x 1-1/4 x 5-inch) inside elevator head and then positioning deflector plate in elevator with curved end pointing towards the back of elevator. Install (2) 3/8 x 2-inch carriage bolts up through plate and bar as shown in Figure 8. 12. Install another mounting bar (1/4 x 1-1/4 x 6-13/16-inch) on top of elevator over (2) 3/8-inch bolts. Install a flat washer, lock washer and nut on both 3/8- inch bolts. 13. Tighten (2) 3/8-inch nuts that secure deflector plate until they are snug. Then use a hammer and tap on front edge of deflector plate until curved end of deflector plate hits back of elevator. 14. Securely tighten 3/8-inch deflector plate mounting fasteners. Metalfor Araus 1360 15. Advance conveyor chain until a paddle is directly above sprocket. Adjust top shaft until clearance between tip of paddle and deflector plate is approximately 1 cm (~1/2-inch). It may be necessary to disconnect conveyor chain to allow enough upward travel. Conveyor chain will be reconnected when lower adjuster is installed in next section. 16. Install Do Not Adjust! Use Lower Adjuster! decal on top of elevator. Use provided alcohol swabs to clean surface. 17. Install flow sensor and secure with (4) flat washers and wing nuts as shown in Figure 9. Adjust for 1 cm, (1/2 ) Paddle Clearance 10.2 cm (4 ) 125, 1200/1500 5.1 cm (2 ) 150 6.1 cm (2-3/8 ) Figure 9. Flow sensor installed 18. Route flow sensor cable down and forward to distribution cable. 19. Connect 9-position round connector of flow sensor cable to mating connector of distribution cable. 14 March 2007 Rev B

Metalfor Araus 1360 Installing Elevator Adjuster IMPORTANT: A slide adjuster must be installed at lower end of clean grain elevator so top shaft of elevator can remain in a fixed position. Weight calibration may change if top shaft is adjusted. IMPORTANT: If elevator chain and top drive sprocket have several years of use, it is a good idea to install new parts. If these parts are changed at a later date, it may affect accuracy. Parts required for procedure: (1) Lower adjuster assembly (includes bearing) (1) Drill template (1) Spacer plate (1) Offset link (1) Transfer punch (1) Drill bit 13/32 in. (1) Square file (1) Alcohol swab packet (1) Decal Do Not Adjust, Use Lower Adjuster Step-by-Step Procedure 1. Remove existing bearing from lower boot of clean grain elevator as shown in Figure 10. Metalfor Araus 1360 2. Fasten drill template to lower boot (as shown in Figure 11) using existing fasteners that secured original bearing. Figure 11. Mounting plate to remove 3. Drill (4) outer holes of template using provided 13/32 in. drill bit. 4. File all (4) mounting holes to match square holes of template using provided file. 5. Remove template. 6. Install aluminum spacer and lower adjuster assembly as shown in Figure 12. 16 March 2007 Rev B

Metalfor Araus 1360 Figure 12. Lower adjuster installed 7. If conveyor chain is split, it should be connected at this time. Add or remove links as necessary. 8. Adjust tension of conveyor chain using lower adjuster. Chain is properly tensioned when links can be moved side to side on lower sprocket, but cannot be pulled away from sprocket. 9. After completing chain adjustment, tighten (4) nuts that secure lower adjuster in position. 10. Install Do Not Adjust! Use Lower Adjuster decal on side of elevator near top shaft adjustment. Future tension adjustments to conveyor chain will be made using lower adjuster. PN: 2005300-14 March 2007 Rev B 17

(1) Metal file (5) Pan head screw 1/4 x 1-3/4 in. (5) External tooth lock washer 1/4 in. (5) Hex nut 1/4 in. (5) Lock nut 1/4 in. (4) Sheet metal screw #14 x 1/2 in. Extra fasteners are provided NOTE: Remove plastic spacer block from metal housing. Spacer will serve as a template for marking mounting holes and cutouts. If installing on a machine that will harvest rice or grass seed, a modification must be made to outlet hole of spacer block as illustrated in Figures 13 & 14. Metalfor Araus 1360 Step-by-Step Procedure 1. Position spacer block on right side of clean-grain elevator where installed EMU is shown in Figure 15. Back of spacer block should be flush with back of elevator. EMU Figure 15. EMU installed 2. Carefully trace around inlet and outlet holes of spacer block using a permanent marker or scribe. Use provided 9/32 in. drill bit to mark locations for (5) mounting holes. 3. Extend opening of inlet hole to 8 in. so outline of cutouts on elevator matches cavity on back of spacer as shown in Figure 16. IMPORTANT: Extending dimensions of inlet hole is critical for operation of EMU. If dimensions are not extended, moisture will be inaccurate due to insufficient grain passing by sensor. Metalfor Araus 1360 Figure 16. Holes and cutouts marked (JD 9500 shown) 4. Drill (5) mounting holes using provided 9/32 in. drill bit. 5. Cut inlet and outlet holes using an appropriate cutting tool. Stay inside marked lines. 6. File edges of holes to remove burrs or sharp edges that may wear chain paddles or prevent clean mounting of EMU. 7. Install external tooth lock washers on (5) 1/4 x 1-3/4 in. pan head screws and insert into mounting holes from inside elevator. Install hex nuts outside. 8. Install spacer block over mounting screws. 9. Secure EMU housing on top of spacer block with (5) 1/4 in. lock nuts. 10. Install (4) sheet metal screws into spacer block to complete installation. 11. Connect 2-position tower connector of EMU power cable to mating connector of EMU control circuit. 12. Connect ring terminals of power cable to same buss bar and chassis ground that system power cable is connected to. Refer to Figure 3 on page 7. 20 March 2007 Rev B

Metalfor Araus 1360 Installing Moisture Sensor Parts required for procedure: (1) Moisture sensor with integral cable (1) Moisture sensor cover (attached to EMU) (4) Self-tapping screw #8 x 3/8 in. Cable ties Step-by-Step Procedure 1. Remove (1) sheet metal screw that attaches aluminum plate to plastic housing of moisture sensor. Install ground terminal strap of moisture sensor on screw as shown in Figure 17. Attached Ground Strap Figure 17. Moisture sensor 2. Feed moisture sensor cable through hole in top of moisture sensor cover from enclosed side out as shown in Figure 17. 3. Slip aluminum housing of moisture sensor into holder until all (4) holes in aluminum housing line up with (4) holes in holder. 4. Install (4) #8 x 3/8 in. self-tapping screws through holes in moisture sensor holder into aluminum plate of moisture sensor. 5. Install moisture sensor to EMU housing by engaging tab on bottom of moisture sensor holder with tab on side of main housing, tilting sensor upward to insert sensor blade into grain cavity, and securing holder with wing nut provided. 6. Route moisture sensor cable forward to distribution cable. 7. Connect 14-position round connector of moisture sensor cable to mating connector of distribution cable. Metalfor Araus 1360 Operational Checkout for Refer to the Display Items section in the Operation Section for instructions on how to display different items on the screen. Step-by-Step Procedure 1. Start engine. 2. Power up monitor. a. While program is loading, verify Special Edition firmware is installed. Monitor should display Grain Harvest/Site SE followed by a version number. b. After program has loaded, a field and load should be displayed at top of screen. 3. Display Elevator Speed on screen. a. Verify elevator RPM stays at zero with separator and header OFF. b. Engage separator and verify monitor measures elevator RPM. It should be about 400 RPM at full engine speed. NOTE: On some combine models, header must be engaged to receive elevator speed signal. If no elevator speed, engage header drive. 4. Display Ground Speed on screen. a. Ground speed should register zero with combine at rest. b. Move combine slowly. Monitor should register MPH value at low speeds (below 1 MPH). c. Engage separator with combine at rest and verify monitor reads 0.0 MPH. 5. Display Head Height on screen. a. Raise and lower header. Header height value should increase and decrease respectively. 6. Display Temp on screen and verify there is a temperature reading. The temperature may be off slightly because it has not been calibrated. Refer to Setup Section of Operator Manual to adjust monitor to your combine. PN: 2005300-14 March 2007 Rev B 23
