Established April, 1988 easttennesseemopars.com etmcarclub@gmail.com Club meeting: The June meeting will be held at Chilhowee Park - Midway side. This is an important meeting to go over the lay out of the show. Meeting at 7:00pm Volume 30 Issue 06 ETM Update By Judy Holman June 2017 This newsletter is coming to you from the beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Yes, Mike and I are on vacation. So why am I writing the newsletter instead of enjoying the sun! Today, Mother Nature decided to rain on us with 30 to 50mph winds to go with it. Not a day you want to be outside. Inside this issue Birthday s 3 Officers & Bd 3 Calendar of Events Mopar Businesses & For Sale Items MoParty Picnic pictures 4 5 Club Application 9 6-7 The MoParty Picnic was another success. Over 230 cars attended even with overcast sky s. The ETM caravan down I-75 south drew a lot of thumbs up and cars slowing down to get a good look of our cars. Members attending this year were: Jim Hill, Tony & Sherri Redmond, Brent Ledgerwood, Anthony & Heather Jeffers, Joe David Stansberry, John & Debbie Foster, Bill & Barbara Robinson, Bill Hargis, David Derreberry, and Mike & I. What is so great about this event, all types of Mopars showed up. The daily drivers were parked next to the cars that were trailered in. Lunch was fantastic. BBQ and all the fixin s. Two tables full of desserts. Boy, did we eat. During lunch we listened to Herb McCandless discuss Mopar parts, what to look out for, and ways to repair you car. After lunch, the RamChargers, Dick Jones and Mike Buckle joined Herb on stage and talked about theirs careers, what worked and didn t, and the fun moments. Make plans now to join us next year. See the pictures of this event in this newsletter. ETM now has official west coast members. Chris and Katie Yarcoch have sold their home here in Tennessee and Katie has joined Chris in Washington. We wish them all the best as they make their new home. We sure will miss them. I know Chris will keep us updated with a newsletter article every now and then. To all our military veterans and one s actively serving - we thank you so much for your service. Happy Memorial Day! See you at the next meeting. Judy

Be sure to get a business card or business information. They will be announced as a sponsor the day of the show. Page 9 Editor s Notes By Judy Holman Everyone, at one time or another, wishes their car would be showcased in a Mopar magazine. Mike and I have been fortunate to have our Belvedere II and Satellite featured in Muscle Car Review several years ago. But a Mopar magazine, that would be great. Then we received our copy of the classified ads from Mopar Collectors Guide. And what s on the front - a 1966 Belvedere II. My car!! Well almost. The engine is different, it has open exhaust, the radiator is oversized, and there are slicks on the rear wheels. (LOL) One can only dream. With car show season in full swing, we are looking for articles about the one s you ve attended. Include pictures if you have them. If you don t feel comfortable writing one, then just send me the facts and I will put an article together for you. Club Wearables - car show season is right around the corner and wouldn t you look good wearing a shirt or jacket with your name and the club logo on it? Please note that once your order is placed, it will take about 3 weeks to get your items. Place your order at any regular club meeting. All items must be paid for at time of ordering.
