Water Closet. Drain line. Water supply line IMPORTANT: All plumbing must be installed in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. Water supply lines must be sized to provide an adequate volume of water for each fixture. Flush all water lines prior to operation (See Step ). Dirt and debris can cause flush valve to run continuously. With the exception of Supply Stop Inlet, DO T use pipe sealant or plumbing grease on any valve component or coupling! Protect the chrome or special finish on chrome plated items. DO T USE toothed tools on finished surfaces to install or service these valves. Also see Care and Cleaning section of this manual. This product contains mechanical and/or electrical components that are subject to normal wear. These components should be checked on a regular basis and replaced as needed to maintain the valve s performance.

INSTALL ELECTRICAL BOX ASSEMBLY; Fig. Fig. ( SPUD FIXTURE ILLUSTRATED). Cut a xmm ("x ") opening in finished wall for ELECTRICAL BOX () at the deminsion shown in Fig... Rotate the MOUNTING TABS () flat against the electrical box. Holding the MOUNTING TABS () in position install the ELECTRICAL BOX () into the opening. Make sure the MOUNTING TABS () are behind the wall. mm () mm () Fig. a. Tighten the the MOUNTING SCREWS () until the ELECTRICAL BOX () is almost secure in the wall. Before tighting fully rest a level at the top edge of the ELECTRICAL BOX () and make sure the box is level, then tighten fully. FLUSH OUT SUPPLY LINES; Fig. Fig.. Open SUPPLY S (). COUNTER-CLOCKWISE OPENS CONTROL S CLOCKWISE CLOSES CONTROL S. Turn on water supply to flush line of any debris or sediment.. Close SUPPLY S () and turn off water supply line.

INSTALL VACUUM BREAKER AND FLUSH CONNECTIONS; Fig.. Place the SPUD FLANGE () over the spud on the Fixture. Fig.. Fig. -/" SPUD. Thread SPUD COUPLING NUT () onto Spud. Make sure SEAL WASHER () and FRICTION WASHER () are installed. Do not tighten fully. Fig... Remove the COUPLING NUTS (, a) from the CHROME ELBOW (). Make sure you have a TAPERED RUBBER WASHER (), PLASTIC SUPPORT () and SQUARE SEAL WASHER (). Fig. a.. Install the SQUARE SEAL WASHER () onto the PLASTIC SUPPORT () if not already installed. Insert the PLASTIC SUPPORT () into the DOWN TUBE (0). Slide the COUPLING NUT () onto the DOWN TUBE (0). Connect the COUPLING NUT () to the CHROME ELBOW () and tighten fully. Insert the DOWN TUBE (0) with CHROME ELBOW () into the SPUD COUPLING NUT () and push it down. Do not tighten fully. Fig. a. Note: If center line of ELBOW () cannot be adjusted to line up with hole in wall, then cut the DOWN TUBE (0) as required.. Measure and cut the HORIZONTAL TUBE () to length required. Important: Make sure that there is a minimum of -/" for engagement with elbow when making your measurement. Fig. b.. Remove the COUPLING NUT () from BRASS ELBOW () and slide it onto the HORIZONTAL TUBE (). Install the SQUARE SEAL WASHER () onto the PLASTIC SUPPORT () if not already installed. Insert the PLASTIC SUPPORT () into the HORIZONTAL TUBE (). Connect the COUPLING NUT () to the BRASS ELBOW () and tighten fully. Fig. b.. From behind the wall install the ELBOW AND TUBE ASSEMBLY (, ) through the hole in the wall. Install WALL ESCUTCHEON () onto HORIZONTAL TUBE (). Assemble the COUPLING NUT (a) and TAPERED RUBBER WASHER () in the CHROME ELBOW () onto the HORIZONTAL TUBE (). Push the HORIZONTAL TUBE () into the CHROME ELBOW (). Tighten COUPLING NUT (a) but not fully. Fig. b.. For back spud installations: Follow steps # and # to install the spud coupling kit. Push the HORIZONTAL TUBE () into the spud connection on the back of the fixture. Do not tighten fully. If spud coupling kit is not required install HORIZONTAL TUBE () into back spud on fixture and hand tighten. Fig. b.. All installations: If required cut scored VACUUM BREAKER PIPE () to fit, leave a minimum of -/" (mm) of pipe to ensure engagement with compression coupling. Assemble the COUPLING NUT () and TAPERED RUBBER WASHER () in the BRASS ELBOW () onto the VACUUM BREAKER PIPE (). Install VACUUM BREAKER PIPE () into BRASS ELBOW () and hand tighten COUPLING NUT (). INSTALL FLUSH VALVE; Fig.. Insert the side ADJUSTABLE TAILPIECE () on the FLUSH VALVE () into the SUPPLY S (). Lubricate the TAILPIECE O-RING () with water if necessary. Lightly tighten COUPLING NUT (). Fig.. Important: Do not use lubricants (other than water) or any type of thread sealing paste or tape. Fig. CONNECT FLUSH VALVE TO PIPING; Fig.. Align the FLUSH VALVE () (Fig. ) directly above the VACUUM BREAKER TUBE () and VACUUM COUPLING NUT (). Make sure that GASKET (0) is installed. Note: There is a +mm, -mm (+/, -/) tolerance for the mm (-/) dimension. Fig... Pull the VACUUM BREAKER TUBE () up to meet the threaded FLUSH VALVE CONNECTION () and hand tighten the COUPLING NUT (). Align all components of the flush valve assembly. Fig... Lightly tighten the TAILPIECE COUPLING NUT () connection first, then the VACUUM BREAKER COUPLING NUT () and finally the SPUD COUPLING NUT (). Once alligned correctly, use a wrench to tighten all couplings to make water tight connections. Fig.. Fig. mm,+mm, -mm (-/)(+/, -/) 0. Secure piping behind wall as required.

CONNECT FRONT PANEL TO ELECTRICAL BOX (AC POWER); Fig. 0 Fig. 0. Remove the four COVER SCREWS () and COVER from () ELECTRICAL BOX (). Fig. 0.. Pull the CIRCUIT BOARD () out from ELECTRICAL BOX (). Fig. 0.. Knock out lower blank in ELECTRICAL BOX () with flat blade screwdriver. Install from the back of ELECTRICAL BOX () the POWER SUPPLY GROMMET (). Fig. 0a.. Attach the SAFETY CHAIN () from the FRONT PANEL () to the MOUNTING POST () as shown. Feed the Red and Black wires through the back opening in the ELECTRICAL BOX (). Fig. 0a. Fig. 0a. From back of ELECTRICAL BOX () remove SPLIT PLUG (a) from POWER SUPPLY GROMMET (). Insert POWER CORD CONNECTOR () through POWER SUPPLY GROMMET (). Insert POWER CORD (0) into SPLIT PLUG (a). Press BATTERY () down (contacts facing downward) into position until tabs lock BATTERY () into place.. Attach the SAFETY CHAIN () from the FRONT PANEL () to the MOUNTING POST () as shown. Feed the Red and Black wires through the back opening in the ELECTRICAL BOX (). Fig. a. Fig. a. Install the SENSOR WIRE GROMMET () into the COVER () as shown. Remove the SPLIT PLUG (a) from SENSOR WIRE GROMMET (). Insert SENSOR WIRE CONNECTOR () through SENSOR WIRE GROMMET (). Insert SENSOR WIRE () into SPLIT PLUG (a). To remove FRONT PANEL () insert WIRE KEY () (supplied) into the two holes located at the bottom of the FRONT PANEL (). Push the WIRE KEY () up until it releases the bottom clips. Pull the bottom edge away and lift the FRONT PANEL () off. Fig.. PUSH TO SNAP PANEL INTO PLACE
