BASIC UNIQUE PRES BRAKE TURNBEND TURN N BEND is a multi-function, precision bending machine, utilizing the well known and accepted concept of an indexing (rotating) lower die and related upper tooling. Additionally, to provide expanded versatility and capabilities, the standard TURN N BEND lower die can be easily and quickly removed; and in its place, optional conventional press brake tooling can be utilized for bending, forming and punching operations. Some of the various capabilities are illustrated below. DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION The frame, bed and ram are of amply-proportioned, all-steel, wleded construction. A torsion bar is incorporated into the design and construtionof the ram in order to further assure rigidity and proper alignment. The standard lower die is intended for use in the manufacture of duct, roofing and related products and provides for almost every bending-related function fort hem. The die is easily rotated to put the required opening in the proper working position. Additionally, the unique design of the bed allows for the removal of the standard lower die and, in its place, the use of conventional press brake tooling, as described above and following, thereby increasing versatility and bending, forming and punching capabilities. UNUSUAL STANDARD FEATURES Form, hem, corner-bend and make standing lockseams, signs, roofing products and boxes with the standard upper and rotating lower dies. Make duct using modern tranverse duct systems, angular degree bends for damper blades, other locks and deep boxes and work heavier materials with optional accessories. BASIC PRESS BRAKE, SINGLE TURNABLE V DIE, PRACTICALLY SOLUTION FOR ALL BENDING EASY OPERATION HYDRAULICS The hydraulic circuitry is simple, yet completely effective and efficient. It utilizes a robust pump of ample capacity and the necessary controls, including tonnage control (pressure adjustment) and overload protection, thus making damage to the machine from that cause almost impossible. The hydraulic system also provides rapid adjustment of stroke depth. MOTOR AND CONTROLS The motor and related controls operate the hydraulic pump and together, they are mounted on the base at the rear of the machine, where they are readily accessible for maintenance and service. electrics are for 3/60/220/440; and almost any other operating voltage can be supplied on request. In almost every case, the machine is delivered properly connected for the operating voltage requested by the Customer. A foot pedal on a trailing lead, low voltage at the operating controls and emergency stop control complete the control package. TOOLING In the standard arrangement the machine is equipped with the TURN-N-BEND rotatable lower die and full length 89 and 30 upper dies shown here: Additionally (and differing from other, otherwise similar machines) the TURN-N-BEND is designed to accept many sizes of standard, conventionell and even special types of press brake tooling, including lower die holder or adaptör for dies with or without tang. Thus the machine can be used with many size of single or multi opening lower dies and related upper forming dies (punches) or unitized punching tools. It is recommended that you contact your TURN- N-BEND represantive or a tooling manufacturer to discuss your specific requirements. A tonnage chart for bending is available on request. OPERATION With the standard die in the machine the required opening is properly positioned by the operator 33
