Class 8 Made In USA: SwapLoader Hook-lift Hoists are manufactured in the USA (Des Moines, IA). All purchased parts incorporated into our hoists (pumps, valves, tanks, etc ) are also produced by US manufacturers. You ll have peace-of-mind knowing parts are always available for a timely turn around. NOTE: we assume the same to be true of other US manufactured hook-lifts. Common sense on the other hand, tells us our foreign manufactured counterparts may struggle with the availability of parts outside the basics. This point becomes increasingly vital, if you cannot afford to have your hoist out of service for weeks or even months. Partially assembled in America is not the same as Made In America. The SwapLoader Advantage 1 Revision C

4-Years ALL Parts & 1-Year Labor Warranty: SwapLoader offers the World s ONLY 4-Year ALL Parts & 1-Year Labor Warranty on everything that comes with your hook-lift hoist. SwapLoader uses all standard fittings (JIC), hoses, valves, pumps, cylinders, etc in our design. Warranty for Warranty SwapLoader remains unmatched in the hook-lift industry. NOTE: other hook-lift manufacturer warranties lead to some SERIOUS GRAY AREAS on parts they do not manufacture themselves (hoses, fittings, cylinders, hydraulic tank, pump, etc ). You might check to see how they cover purchased parts, since most hooklift manufacturers do not warranty purchased parts themselves. You might also check to see if they provide a list of contact names & numbers for those vendors. Sliding Jib: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate the Sliding Jib design. This feature offers three key benefits; it allows the body/container to travel horizontally across the working platform (without leaving it), it also allows the body/container to remain in the rear body locks up to 18 on any SwapLoader hoist (SwapLoader specified sub-frame) and allows for rearward weight transfer in an emergency overload dump situation while remaining inside the safety of your rear body locks. NOTE: other manufacturers who utilize a sliding jib design may not enjoy all the same benefits, based on the reduced engagement specs (3 to 4 in most cases) with their body lock design. Articulating jib designs will not qualify as they leave the platform immediately (any movement), rear lock engagement is slim at 3 to 4 in most cases and weight transfer in an emergency overload (dumping) situation is done outside the safety of the rear locks (resting only on the rear rollers). Slide Through Rear Body Lock: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate the Slide Through Body Lock design. This feature offers some important benefits. You ll enjoy hoist and body engagement up to 18 (more on select hoists) on all SwapLoader Hoists. This substantial distance of engagement allows the body/container to remain engaged in the body locks while transitioning a heavier than normal load rearward to dump or while transferring weight between axles. NOTE: if looking at other hook-lift brands, you might want to inquire how each design (prong or slide through style) changes and/or compares in all aspects. Dual Lift/Dump Cylinders: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate the Dual Lift/Dump Cylinders design. This feature offers unmatched load handling safety and stability in the mount, dismount, and dump cycles. Wear and tear on the cylinders is greatly reduced by spreading the load (force) evenly across the two, helping to extend their life expectancy. NOTE: single cylinder designs are not as ideal or stable when dumping over uneven ground. Common sense also tells us that the life expectancy will be reduced by comparison, as a single cylinder is doing all the work. You might check failure rate and cost associated with replacement with the single cylinder designs. Dual Rear Pivot Section: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate the Dual Rear Pivot design. This feature gets little attention, but pays huge dividends. It provides true dumping capabilities at extreme angles (up to 58º, depending on hoist model), is capable of dumping a wider range of body lengths, provides pry bar leverage when lifting stubborn or stuck loads off the ground and also helps the lift cylinders enjoy a longer life expectancy by increasing their angle of attack (reduces the overall stress that happens if the cylinders flatten out). The SwapLoader Advantage 2 Revision C

NOTE: most other dual rear pivot designs tend to only enjoy the benefit of true dumping. Single pivot designs DO NOT offer true dumping capabilities, must handle a shorter range of bodies while dumping (impact the ground sooner), operate outside the safety of the hoist s body locks, do not enjoy the pry bar leverage for stubborn loads and do not contribute to a longer life expectancy for the cylinder(s). Low-Pressure Hydraulics: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate Low-Pressure Hydraulics. This feature allows for easy sharing with other hydraulically operated devices (hand-tools, sand/salt spreaders, water tanks, stabilizer, etc ) by simply adding new valve sections, allows the hoist to operate with a gear pump (more tolerant to contaminants and reliable all weather conditions), we use all Parker hydraulics (easy to find replacement parts locally) and operate at max pressures up to 3,500 PSI. NOTE: high-pressure hoists find it difficult (if not impossible) to integrate with other hydraulically powered devices (out of the box) through their hoist s hydraulic system, operate at up to 5,600 PSI, may use metric (foreign manufactured) components and often use piston pumps, which tend to struggle with contaminants and in cold weather situations. Integral Dual Counter Balance Valves: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate Integral Dual Counter Balance Valves into both lift/dump cylinders. In the event there s a sudden loss in pressure, you ll have comfort in knowing your cylinders will lock in-place. This greatly reduces the risk of serious injury to the driver, an innocent bystander, your chassis, the body and your hoist (ex; free-fall scenario while in the dump cycle, sometimes seen with dump trucks). With SwapLoader, it s power up and power down, built directly into the cylinders. NOTE: MAKE NO MISTAKE, unlike most hook-lift hoist manufacturers, our counterbalance valves are NOT remotely mounted (single counterbalance valve strapped to cylinder). At SwapLoader, your safety out weighs saving a buck in the manufacturing process. Jib Lockout Valve: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate a Jib Lockout Valve. This device renders your jib cylinder inoperable once the body leaves the platform to enter the dump cycle. This was done as a safety precaution, so you can t pull the wrong (jib) lever while up in the dump cycle. NOTE: some manufacturers choose to ignore the need for this important safety feature. Nylatron Slide Pads: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate Nylatron Slide Pads. Believe it or not, these pads perform several duties. They protect the paint on the hoist s frame rails, provide silent travel across the working platform, wipe debris (dirt, rock, snow, ice, etc ) that collects on the bottom of the body/container long rails when sitting for long periods of time, but most importantly, they protect from material loss in the body/container long rails. NOTE: some manufacturers rely on rollers, while others go metal-on-metal. The rollers often wear flat spots and are very expensive to replace. The metal-on-metal, however it s set up, will eventually compromise (wear through) the integrity of the body/container long rails, also very expensive to fix and labor intensive. The reality is, most body builders use the thinnest, cheapest material they feel they can get away with. Our slide pads will even protect the cheapest built body/containers. The SwapLoader Advantage 3 Revision C

Lubrication: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate Grease Zerks at all pivot points on our hook-lift systems. Pumping grease through these points (as recommended in our owner s manual) allows you to expel any contaminants (sand, salt, dirt, etc ) that may enter these pivot points over time and/or during operation. NOTE: Remember, permanent lubed pins and bushings cannot be lubed, thus making it impossible to expel any contaminants that may enter the pivot points over time. The promise of zero maintenance sounds great, right up to the point a problem arises. If you re lucky enough to be able to repair the problem, it s usually a major and very expensive project. Those still using the permanent lube option are quickly seeing the light and finally listening to their customers demands, by moving towards the grease zerk alternative in all new designs. Large Beveled Rear Rollers: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate Large Beveled Rear Rollers. These rear rollers serve a vital role, as they are the first point of contact between the hoist and body/container long rails. This impact point is also the point of greatest force. Along with being a heavyduty cast, these rear rollers were engineered to be adjustable (40 ½ or 41 5/8 outsideto-outside long rail width). Body builders are the wildcard in our industry, but you won t be caught off guard with SwapLoader. These rollers also provide an ample rolling surface. Rugged Main Frame: All SwapLoader Hoists incorporate a Rugged Main Frame. You re working with serious weight and we ve delivered a strong and stable platform to support those intended load capacities. Our main frames are tried (rigorous factory testing) and true, without you being used as the test subject. This is where it all starts in our ability to offer the World s BEST Hook-lift Hoist Warranty. NOTE: given the chance to compare same capacity hoists (side-by-side) to that of our competition, you ll quickly see how serious we are when it comes to delivering a true and long lasting investment. Design Consistency: All SwapLoader Hoists are designed with the SAME GREAT FEATURES & BENEFITS our customers demanded from the beginning. We will not compromise our core design for any reason! NOTE: when comparing SwapLoader s design consistency to our competitors, you ll notice many design alterations within the same series of hoist line. You ll also find some manufactures aren t sold on a single design as the best or better, so they offer many different designs and styles of hoists. Why? That s a great question and one only they can answer. No Hook Latches Required: SwapLoader DOES NOT use or require cumbersome hook latches on any of our hoists. NOTE: from day one, SwapLoader knew the constant battles associated with hook latches (bent, rusted, broken, etc ) covering the front of our hook heads. Instead, SwapLoader s engineers focused on a design that forces the lift bar to tighten up against the back of the hook head itself, stopping any movement. By design, other manufacturers probably do require such a feature when the day is done. No Proximity Switches: SwapLoader DOES NOT use proximity switches on any of our hoists. NOTE: again, by design, it becomes a necessity for some manufactures. Essentially, it s a warning device telling you that you ve broken something or done something wrong. Why not change the design, avoiding the problem altogether? Another good question. The SwapLoader Advantage 4 Revision C

No Breakaway Tabs: SwapLoader has no such feature. NOTE: we believe this is why some manufacturers require proximity switches on some or all of their hoist models. No Bolt On Hook Heads: SwapLoader DOES NOT use a bolt on hook head design. NOTE: Some manufacturers have opted to go with a bolt on hook head design to combat bent or broken hook heads. Start with enough steel and the problem disappears. 100% Hook-lift Dedication: SwapLoader is the ONLY hook-lift manufacturer in North America that can make this claim. We dedicate 100% of our resources (engineering, sales, support & manufacturing) to building the BEST hook-lift system around. As a company, we do not manufacturer or service any other product lines. Giving us a huge advantage over our competition when attention to detail matters most. Hooked on Quality: SwapLoader has long been recognized for building the highest quality hook-lift hoist in North America and now around the World. We re so sure of the quality construction that goes into each SwapLoader Hoist that we back it with the World s ONLY 4-Year ALL Parts & 1-Year Labor Warranty. SwapLoader has engineered a line of hook-lift hoists that will stand up to the daily abuse our customers can dish out. Experience and countless customer testimony have told us we deliver the perfect blend of steel, function and features. SwapLoader is a power packed INVESTMENT that will be the corner stone of your business for years to come. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect (ideal) world.
