July / 2013 Adam Norton drives his C stock MR-2 with precision and speed. At Points Event 5, the next day at Papa J s, Adam was no. 3 in the pax and was nearly a full second ahead of the top CM time. A wealth of talented, winning drivers brought their skills and tricks of the trade to share with the rest of us. Thanks go out to the faculty; Geoff Hale, Jim Moore, Jamey McDaniel, Andrew Buck, Ryan Zupancic, Marc Pfanneschmidt, Aaron Leichty, Shawn Lambert, Jeremy Hess and Brian Mason; Event Chairman Cindy Duncan proves that smooth driving leads to fast times in her beautiful Dark Blue Mustang. Ky. Region SCCA Board Meeting May 29, 2013, Unique Automotive Regional Executive Jamey McDaniel called meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. The following were present: Rich Sinnock, Mike Spence, Bruce Domeck, Ron Riffle, Jamey McDaniel, Brian Mason, Julia Aebersold, Jamey Aebersold. Secretary Mike Spence presented the April 24, 2013 minutes for review. Bruce made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, Ron 2nd, motion passed. Financial Report: Treasurer Rich Sinnock reported that Club is in good shape. Rich reported that the club received $400.00 from Tire Rack incentive program for member purchases. Membership Report: No report was presented. Old Business: Points Event #3 went well 78 drivers KYSCCA Drivers School 40 students are signed up 10 instructors. A lot of new drivers are in the group. Instructors shirts are ordered $228.00 total. New Business: Do we need new FRS radios? It was decided that we have enough at present. End of course worker position to hand out time slips majority felt it is a luxury and not needed. Axware additional capabilities can broadcast to our website and then be accessed with smartphones, can be used to organize and sort classes, has many options that we are not using. Works well with the new timing equipment. We may need to buy a new laptop computer that is capable of broadcasting, ours is very outdated. Previously discussed large results monitor will be shelved for the present due to Axware broadcasting possibilities. Website We need to make a payment to catch up with our hosting provider. National remake for us is in the distant future, will probably charge a hosting fee. Central Kentucky Region is reworking their website. Bruce made a motion to catch up with our host on payment, Mike seconded. Motion was passed. Banquet liaison was not discussed. Open Discussion Newsletter has gone to bimonthly distribution. Ron suggested a group viewing of the new movie Rush, the story of the 1976 F1 championship between Niki Lauda and James Hunt. Directed by Ron Howard. Opens sometime in September 2013. It was discussed that the instructors shirts purchased should have had board approval.
