We prefer to have a support forum for the simple reason that it is fast and efficient because customers help customers when we are not in the office: http://forum.aerosoft.com/ And we advise the Train Simulation subforum for any questions on this product. This should be your first stop for any support. If you prefer support by email please do accept that this could take a bit longer as it might be send from person to person if necessary, and that email support during the weekends is always slow: https://aerosoft.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new We feel strongly about support. About The Route Our route starts at the main station in Freiburg im Breisgau and goes up to Basel Badischer Bahnhof. As part of the Rhine valley route this railway route is one of the most important North-South links in the European railway network. Today it s one of the most frequented railway routes in Germany. This route is also very important for international train connections to Switzerland and France. It is the main gate to the newly opened Gotthard Base Tunnel in 2016. Our route represents the state of the route of the year 2013/14. Appendix Known Issues Performance Some of our 3D models have complex textures and need appropriate memory. Please pay attention to the notes in the chapter Settings in Train Simulator in this manual. If a crash happens during your ride please reduce the setting of the slider for scenery quality. This will reduce the necessary memory with only a slight decrease of the texture quality. Signals/PZB We did our very best to make the signalling system as close to the real world as possible. However it may happen that a signal or a PZB magnet doesn t work as you expect in a certain situation and it s caused by the technical limitations of the Train Simulator. Credits To create such a route is always a very complex project. This add-on would probably not exist without the support of all the people who helped us build this impressive route. Many thanks to Niklas for providing us with a lot of photos of Basel. Special thanks to Mathias Gundlach and his signalling team for their constant willingness to modify, add and improve things and to provide a functional signalling system. It would have taken much longer to finish this route without the permission from Siegfried Derks to use his objects. Thank you Siegfried. Also thank you to Jan Bleiß from virtualtracks and the team of RLB for allowing us to use some of their 3D models. Manfred allowed us to use his destination boards, thank you for this. Also thank you to Dirk for supporting us with his lime works model. The rolling stock and the PZB system comes from virtualrailroads. Thank you for supporting us. Many thanks to Maik Goltz for his outstanding work in laying the track and setting up the signals and the overhead wire system. Many thanks also to Bernd, Ulrich and Thomas. They supported us in build up the route. Florian created some models of modern houses, many thanks for that. Not to forget the JTG team for creating the scenarios. We partly used textures from www.textures.com for modelling this route. And last but not least special thanks to all the beta testers. 18 19
