TIP SHEET Add on Remote Start Kit for Push to Start CRV 2015-2016 Txxxx Thank you for purchasing your remote start from MPC - an industry leader in providing remote starts to do-it-yourself installers since 1999. We ve put this tip sheet together to help you with your installation. The purpose of this sheet is to help you the average person install this into your vehicle. This is a semi plug and play kit that comes pre-wired, meaning we has assembled these products together to have the fewest wires to connect and in addition we wired in a factory plug T harness for an easier installation. All connections that can be made are done and it is ready to be installed into your vehicle. There will only be 1 required connection to be made to your vehicle wiring for the remote start to function. The EVO-ALL interface module eliminates the need for extra wiring. We have already loaded the correct software into your EVO module. You will just need to program the module to your keys when the installation is complete. Once programming is completed, your car will start when you press the lock button on your OEM fob three times in succession. Tip #1 Where Everything Goes 1. Modules the wiring for the module is done under the dash on the driver s side, so you ll want to install the module in that general area. Before you start wiring, look for a location where there s some open space that will fit the module. Pay attention to moving parts like the pedals, e-brake and steering column. Be sure to route your wiring away from those areas. STEP 1: Starting the installation Most of the installation takes place behind the glove box. 1 Page
STEP 2: Making the Connections Connecting the T harness Locate and unplug the Ignition plug and plug it into the Female connector of the T harness. Now plug in the Male end of the T harness into the ignition switch. As shown in the diagram below. RS Connections Connect Remote Starter - Plug in 6 pin power plug - Plug in 12 pin plug - Ground - The Labeled Black wire will connect to ground (bare metal in your vehicle) 2 Page
Optional Connections 1. Valet Switch The Crimestopper remote starter comes with a valet programming button with a small blue 2-pin plug. This is used for programming, and while it is not essential for the remote start operation, we recommend installing this so that just in case it is needed in the future, it does not get lost. 2. LED The Crimestopper remote starter comes with an LED with a small white 2-pin plug. This is a status indicator and can be useful for diagnostics, but is not essential for remote start operation. A small hole will need to be drilled into a vehicle panel to mount this optional LED. 3. Hood Pin - Most vehicles come with a factory equipped hood pin switch that the EVO ALL can monitor. If yours does not come with one you can wire in the aftermarket switch we supplied to the labeled Gray wire. You will need to mount the pin switch into metal making sure when you close the hood that the plunger is pressed down. STEP 3: Program the EVO-ALL Begin by having the EVO ALL plugs unplugged and preform the following programming steps: Plug the 4-pin data wire into the RS brain and perform the following programming steps: 3 Page

STEP 4: Program the RS00 RS00 remote starter programming: Once you have successfully made your connections, you will need to change option 17 in the RS00 option programming menu from its default 1 Pulse setting to 3 Pulse Start. This will initiate the remote start sequence from 3 lock presses on your OEM remote instead of 1. Preform the following steps using your vehicles key, your vehicles brake pedal, and the valet programming button that plugs into the RS00. You will need to plug in the valet button into the Blue 2 pin plug on the RS brain. 1. Turn Ignition Key to the ON position. (Do not start the vehicle) 2. Within 5 seconds of step 1, press the valet switch 5 times to access option programming. You will hear 5 clicks from the RS00 brain, and if connected, the parking lights will flash and horn will honk. Wait for the unit to finish clicking/flashing/honking. 3. Within 10 seconds of step 2, press the valet switch 17 times to access option number 17. You will observe a click/flash/honk each time you press the button, carefully count the clicks/flashes/honks until you reach 17. 4. Firmly press the brake pedal 1 time to change option number 17 to the 3 Pulse value. You will then observe 1 click/flash/honk. 5. To exit programming, turn the ignition key to the OFF position. Or, you can wait 10 seconds for programming mode to expire. Programming is complete. If you wish to change more features, the programmable features chart along with instructions can be found beginning on page 14 of the installation instructions book that comes in the box with your RS00. 5 Page
STEP 5: Finish up! -Test all functions. The remote start will engage when you press the Lock button on your factory remote 3 times. It s all in the timing. Lock, 1000, Lock, 1000, Lock. You will see the Blue LED on the EVO ALL blink every time you press the Lock button. To shut the vehicle off press the brake pedal. -After confirming that everything works properly, cap off or tape the ends of any wires you re not using to avoid grounding or other contact. -Now gather up all the wiring and neatly bundle it together using zip ties or electrical tape to prevent the wires from interfering with any of the moving parts under the dash. -Find a secure place to put the remote start module and use zip ties to secure it.
