SAFETY WARNING: recommends this system be installed by a professional technician. In addition to these instructions, professional knowledge of disassembly/ reassembly procedures and post installation checks must be known. PRODUCT SAFETY WARNING:Modifying your vehicle ride height may result in the vehicle handling differently than a factory equipped vehicle. Extreme care must be used to prevent loss of control or vehicle rollover. Failure to drive your modified vehicle safely may result in serious injury or death. does not recommend the combined use of suspension lifts, body lifts, or other lifting devices. You should never operate your modified vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Always drive your modified vehicle at reduced speeds to ensure your ability to control your vehicle under all driving conditions. Always wear your seat belt. Pre-Installation Notes 1. Special literature required: OE Service Manual for model/year of vehicle. Refer to manual for proper disassembly/reassembly procedures of OE and related components. 2. Adhere to recommendations when replacement fasteners, retainers and keepers are called out in the OE manual. 3. Larger rim and tire combinations may increase leverage on suspension, steering, and related components. When selecting combinations larger than OE, consider the additional stress you could be inducing on the OE and related components. 4. Post suspension system vehicles may experience drive line vibrations. Angles may require tuning, slider on shaft may require replacement, shafts may need to be lengthened or trued, and U-joints may need to be replaced. 5. Secure and properly block vehicle prior to installation of components. Always wear safety glasses when using power tools. 6. If installation is to be performed without a hoist, ReadyLift asuspension Inc. recommends rear alterations first. 7. Due to payload options and initial ride height variances, the amount of lift is a base figure. Final ride height dimensions may vary in accordance to original vehicle attitude. Always measure the attitude prior to beginning installation. POST-INSTALLATION WARNINGS 1. Check all fasteners for proper torque. Check to ensure for adequate clearance between all rotating, mobile, fixed, and heated members. Verify clearance between exhaust and brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank, floor boards and wiring harness. Check steering gear for clearance. Test and inspect brake system. 2. Perform steering sweep to ensure front brake hoses have adequate slack and do not contact any rotating, mobile or heated members. Inspect rear brake hoses at full extension for adequate slack. Failure to perform hose check/ replacement may result in component failure. Longer replacement hoses, if needed can be purchased from a local parts supplier. 3. Headlight adjustment is highly recommended. 4. Re-torque all fasteners after 500 miles. Always inspect fasteners and components during routine servicing. 5. An alignment is required after installation for both safety and to prevent premature tire wear.

Please read instructions thoroughly and completely before beginning installation. Check www.readylift.com for any updated installation instructions. Installation by a trained mechanic is recommended. Position truck on a flat surface and lift vehicle by the frame so that the front wheels are off the ground. Support the vehicle by the frame using jack stands or a (2) two post lift if available. 1. Remove front driver side wheel. Remove 10mm ABS line retention bracket bolt from the upper control arm. (Insert 1) Remove 10mm bolt on spindle. (Insert 2) Disconnect ABS line connector and position line out of the way. (Insert3) Insert 1 Insert 2 2. 3. Remove the 12mm brake line retaining bolt from the bracket connected to the strut.. (Insert 4) Remove the upper 12mm sway bar end link nut and 17mm lower end link nut. Remove the end link. (Insert 5 & 6) Remove lower strut mount nut and bolt. (Insert 7) Remove the two upper control arm mounting bolts. (Insert 8) This will allow enough room to remove the strut. Loosen, DO NOT REMOVE, the lower control arm nuts. Be sure to mark the alignment cams and the flanges they contact. (Insert 9) Remove the three upper strut mounting nuts. Remove the strut from the vehicle. Insert 3 Insert 5 Insert 7 Insert 4 Insert 6 Insert 8 Insert 9

4. 5. Using a high speed cut off tool, remove 1/2 off the long stud located on the top of the strut. Before cutting, make sure that the nut is threaded on the stud. It will re-thread the stud after cutting it. Install ReadyLift strut extension. Torque to factory specs. Rotate the top of the strut 120 degrees so that when you install it the bracket on the bottom of the strut is on the is back in the stock location. Install but do not tighten the three upper nuts. Use a jack to raise the lower control arm and install the lower strut mounting bolt. Reverse steps 1-3. Be sure to apply thread locker where needed. Repeat on other side. Once front kit is complete and wheels installed, lower the vehicle back down on the ground. Align the markings made on the alignment cams to the markings made on the flange and torque to factory specs. Make sure that all hardware gets torqued to factory specs. 1. 2. 3. Rear Installation Block the front wheels. Raise the rear of the vehicle, support the frame with jack stands, and remove the rear wheels. With a floor jack, raise the rear axle enough to relieve tension on the shock absorber. Remove the lower shock mounting bolt. Insert 1 Remove the 12mm emergency brake line retaining bracket bolt. Insert 2 Making sure the axle is well supported with jack stands, remove the axle U-bolts and hardware. Mark the ends of the leaf pack as front and rear. Now remove the spring eye bolts and/or shackles, and remove the springs from the vehicle. Insert 3 Using C-clamps or a large bench vise, hold the spring assembly securely together. Using vise-grips to hold the head of the center bolt, loosen and remove it. If the bolt has rusted, a hammer and drift punch may be used to drive it out. Carefully remove C-clamps or open vise and lay unassembled spring aside. With a small amount of grease applied to both ends of the Add-A-Leaf, re-assemble leaf springs with Add-A- Leaf in place. Order of assembly should be longest to smallest excluding the bottom overload spring. Insert 1 Insert 2 Insert 3 4. Install new bolt supplied with the nut on the underside of the leaf pack. Insert 4 & 5 Reinstall the leaf pack taking note the front and rear positions. Torque to factory specs Add-a-leaf Insert 4 Install the new U-bolts, nuts, and washers and torque to factory specifications. Re-connect the emergency brake line retaining bracket and install shock absorbers. Insert 5 Torque all hardware to factory specs. Reinstall rear wheels. *Some vehicles may require a 2 longer rear shock.*

Wheel Alignment; a Certified Alignment Technician that is experienced with lifted vehicles is recommended to perform the alignment. *It is recommended that you have your vehicle s alignment checked whenever installing new tires. Vehicle Handling Warning Vehicles with larger wheels and tires will handle differently than stock vehicles. Take time to familiarize yourself with the handling of your vehicle. DRIVE SAFELY and WEAR YOUR SEAT- BELT Installation Warning Always wear proper safety equipment and use the correct tools when installing any suspension upgrade. Make sure vehicle is on a flat surface and you are using jack stands or a lift rated for the weight of the vehicle. Warning! This ReadyLift Leveling Kit is designed and engineered to level out a stock vehicle with no prior modifications. The use of this kit along with items such as rear lift blocks or spacers, add a leafs, airbags, suspension lifts, body lifts or any other type of lifting accessory shall be done at the vehicles owners risk and may void any and all warranties in effect or implied by ReadyLift.
