CHRYSLER: 2008-2014 Chrysler/Dodge Ground = ground wire attachment location BSIS = Brake Shift Interlock Solenoid Wire Start = Engine Starter Wire Ign = True Ignition Wire Start = 14 ga. yellow/gray wire under hood behind battery. Only place to find this wire on these vehicles. Ign = Non-Existent in vehicle. You have to create using TIPM fuse #M-15 with an Add-A-Circuit. Did not find any other wires under the dash that did not drop-out when the engine was cranked. Can t use the pink/white ignition wire in ignition harness; restricted to sensing the ignition wire only. The ignition wire can NOT drive a relay; intermittent vehicle problems occur if wire is tapped-into. BSIS = 20 ga. brown/yellow at Ignition Switch Harness Easiest way is remove the lower dash panel below the steering column. The plug in back of ignition switch is about 2 below dash key switch or engine-start button. Slight pain to get to. It is difficult to depress the locking tab on the switch to remove the plug. Ground = battery, aftermarket fuse panel, or any chassis screw that is metal-to-metal. Option 1: No Remote Start: Power & ground may be obtained from either the vehicle battery or at the conversion company auxiliary fuse panel Locate True ignition in engine compartment in TIPM next to battery Interrupt start wire in engine compartment Option 2: Remote Start: Power & ground may be obtained from either the vehicle battery or at the conversion company auxiliary fuse panel Locate True ignition in engine compartment in TIPM next to battery Interrupt Brake-Switch Interlock Solenoid (BSIS) wire Lower dash panel under steering column needs to be removed This option eliminates having to run the long yellow 16 gauge wires out under the hood. Note: When wired for remote start, the vehicle will start with the transfer seat base in the transferring position. There are 2 options for moving the transfer seat base in this mode: 1. Activating the Emergency Override Switch will allow the transfer seat base to be moved. An audible alarm will sound until the transfer seat base is moved into the correct driving position and the Emergency Override Switch has been pressed. 2. If the engine is turned off, the audible alarm will stop and the transfer seat base can be moved
Power & Ground for the transfer seat base and the interlock may be connected to the battery or you may use the conversion company fuse panel. Interlock Wiring Options Option 1: Locating Ignition & Start Wires: Refer to the Installation Instruction Booklet
Option 2: Brake-Shift-Interlock-Solenoid Wires Side Panel Top Clip Side Panel Bottom Clips ** Door seal holds forward edge of panel; peel panel out from behind door seal. ** Lower Dash Panel Bottom Left Anchors (2) Lower Dash Panel Bottom Right Anchor
How to Pull Center of Anchor Out Anchors: Pull Center Out, Then Remove Lower Dash Panel Upper Left Anchors Lower Dash Panel Upper Right Anchors Peel Boot from Lower Dash Lip Using Constant Medium Pulling Force: Leave Attached to Steering Column
Remove OBD-2 Connector From Lower Edge of Dash by Depressing Tabs in on Either Side of Plug Allow Lower Dash to Hang Down By Hood Release Cable Bolt Locations for Knee Air Bag Bracket Dash, with Bracket Lowered; Air Bag Not Unplugged ** You MAY be able to get to ignition plug without unbolting the knee air bag & mounting bracket; if not, remove the 4 bolts shown above : DO NOT UNPLUG AIR BAG. **
