Philips FastFlex LED module offers high-quality, reliable, easy-to-use outdoor LED illumination for roads and urban street lighting. 2 FastFlex is a lens-based LED lighting system. The proposition consists of 2 key building blocks a LED board and an optical lens. Combined with Xitanium LED Xtreme drivers, the system provides optimal protection against harsh outdoor conditions. The modules are mechanically ideal for hassle-free manufacturing, and can be pre-assembled for rapid production. The system delivers outstanding optical control and flexible system design. Freedom and flexibility System flexibility is the core of the FastFlex proposition. The module can be driven at different currents to optimize light output towards maximum efficiency or maximum flux, depending on project requirements. Multiple modules can be combined in a system with a Xitanium LED driver to reach the necessary total lumen package. The FastFlex lens portfolio offers a range of beam patterns, meeting the needs of the majority of outdoor applications, including roads, street, and parking areas. By changing the lenses in combination with a single system design, one luminaire can meet the needs of different projects in all outdoor applications. Outstanding optical performance Luminaires with traditional HID lamps generally offer reflector efficiency of around 70%. FastFlex LED lenses offer an optical efficiency of 96%. The light is directed only where it is needed, reducing light pollution and dramatically improving system performance compared to conventional light sources. This means that the total amount of light in the luminaire can be reduced without changing the illumination levels in the application, translating directly to additional energy savings. Stress-free design Successful thermal management is critical for long-lasting and reliable LED lighting design. FastFlex LED module offers a high Tcase, making it very easy to dissipate heat via the luminaire body. The product also benefits from Philips unparalleled expertise in LEDs and electronics, leading to a reliable system lifetime of 50,000 hours. FastFlex LED module features a patented innovation from Philips, the FastFlex module clip. Unlike mounting screws applied directly to the lens, the clip avoids putting pressure on the lens or the PCB board. During assembly it is impossible to damage the module through mechanical pressure, reducing factory scrap and eliminating the need for special training. In the field, the clips provide excellent thermal contact, reducing thermal management needs and at the same time preventing damage to the modules due to thermal cycling. Energy efficiency and the environment FastFlex LED module offers the best energy efficacy in the market, with performance efficiency of up to 147 lm/w on a module level. The remarkable energy savings and CO 2 reductions achieved with a FastFlex system can be further extended with dimming. By lowering the light levels during off-peak hours, energy usage is reduced and light pollution is minimized, improving quality of life for local residents. In addition to high energy efficiency, FastFlex is a Green Product, containing no mercury.
