Disc Aligner 8700 The best and user friendly on the car lathe
The problems... Brake disc Brake disc Brake disc Brake pedal vibration Brake pad Brake pad Brake pad Steering wheel vibration Run-out DTV (Disc Thickness Variation) Roughness MAD introduces with the DA8700 the best of both worlds. This invigorating On the car brake lathe features the simplicity of MAD lathe introduced in 1984, combined with the major successful features of the electronic lathe DA2002, introduced in the year 2000. The Disc Aligner 8700 is the redesigned successor of the world wide approved On the car brake lathe 8700. With this unique system MAD has proven to be the best and most innovative manufacturer of specialized brake disc improving equipment. That is why we stick to our core competence; brake solutions. What happens to a brake disc? All modern cars are equipped with brake discs, mostly front and rear, even on trucks. Every brake disc suffers from rust and distortion as a result of its material; cast iron. Influences like salt, temperature, moist, friction and chemicals, determine the wear, surface and form of the brake discs (rotors). As soon as this changes, the brake performance deteriorates. The driver experiences loss of safety, growing vibration and noise while braking. What does the MAD DA8700 accomplish? It eliminates all disadvantages of cast iron brake discs and the influences on the material by simply and lightly cutting down the surface of the disc at both sides simultaneously, with two sharp cutting-tips it just cuts a few microns. In 5 minutes the disc is like new again, or even sometimes better. Fast, simple and accurate. Why not simply change the disc? That s a matter of time and money. By changing the disc the same problems will reoccur; deformation. Changing the disc means dismantling and loosing valuable time. Changing the disc also means making unnecessary expenses, because the disc can easily be resurfaced. After all, you seldom throw away your dirty laundry! No manufacturer wants to loose dissatisfied customers or pay more for warranty than strictly necessary. Why should you?
What makes the DA8700 so unique? The right solution... The disc stays on the vehicle during the job. You only take off the brake caliper and replace it by the disc lathe. No special skills required, just two bolts to fit the lathe to the car and slide the lathe in position. Adjust the chisels and push the start button. No compensating Runout or disc thickness variation whatsoever. No more adapters; it always fits. Is it just for repairs? No. You can use the lathe for regular maintenance and of course you can service the discs while changing the pads to enhance the brake performance immediately after assembly. Annual inspections may lead to brake service too. Especially when the safety of the driver and passengers is involved and every inch may make the difference, brake maintenance is essential. Does it fit on every car? Yes, as long as the car is equipped with disc brakes. We monitor every new vehicle, all over the world. All passenger cars, MPV s, SUV s, LCV s, AWD s (4 wheel drives), with and without ABS, front and rear. Only when the disc is worn out and below the minimum thickness, a new disc is required. Just visit our website www.mad-tooling.com and check our mountings list. Even for discs over 41 mm/1.61 inch thickness, we have a special truck version. Imagine... ❶ Additional sales. ➋ An upgrade of your workshops competence and service capability ➌ Being able to brake service all makes and models ➍ No time loss for dismantling ➎ Complying to the highest manufacturers service and warranty levels ➏ No need for special training, or servicing the equipment. The machining results speak for themselves: DTV and Run-out (disc oscillation) less than 20 Microns. The MAD DA8700 complies with the strictest international test specifications for workshop equipment. The configuration has been developed and manufactured according to the ISO 9001-2000 standard. The CE safety mark, as well as the official approvals of many other independent international authorities, ensures a constant high quality product.
