Purpse and Scpe The purpse f a Ltus Seven Club Track day is t prvide an pprtunity fr Caterham Seven and Ltus Seven wners and drivers f all abilities t imprve their driving skills and car cntrl in a safer envirnment than public rads. Safety is a paramunt cnsideratin during a Ltus Seven Club track day. Risks t peple are reduced t a lw level (cmmensurate and prprtinate with the activity) by the assessment and management f identified risks. The scpe f these events is limited t drivers f Caterham Seven and Ltus Seven cars nly wh are members f the Ltus Seven Club f GB, and their persnal guests. 2. Definitins Circuit Operatr The circuit wner r perating cmpany, its emplyees and representatives (including marshals and instructrs where prvided by the Circuit Operatr). Organiser - Seven Club Ltd, trading as the Ltus Seven Club f GB (herein called the L7C ). Club Duty Manager - The primary representative f the L7C fr that day. He/she hlds the delegated pwer t act n behalf f L7C t ensure the Operating Prcedures are fllwed. The Duty Manager has the sle right t make changes t the Operating Prcedure fr that day, t brief Participants at any stage and t arbitrate n questins f driving behavir and n questins relating t equipment r vehicle cnditin and, if necessary, t exclude drivers/cars frm participating. Drivers Must be members f L7C wh have paid the L7C fr use f the track n the L7C Track day, and wh have cmpleted the necessary Registratin and Briefing prcess and signed the Participant s Disclaimer and Indemnity Frm. Passengers May r may nt be members f L7C but must als cmplete the registratin and briefing prcess and sign the Participant s Disclaimer and Indemnity Frm.

Participants All Drivers and Passengers wh take part in the event n the track r wh attend fr that purpse, whether r nt actually taking part n the track, are Participants. Guests - Drivers may invite nn-participating guests as bservers nly, and the Driver is respnsible fr ensuring his r her Guests understand and cmply with the relevant safety requirements f the Circuit Operatr and L7C Operating Prcedures. 4. Prcedures 4.1 Prir t the Track day Fllwing receipt f Bking Frms and fee, a Cnfirmatin f Bking will be issued t applicants. Cpies f this Operating Prcedures and L7C s Disclaimer and Indemnity frm will be available t Participants n the Club s web site. The Disclaimer and Indemnity frm must be cmpleted, signed and brught t the event by all Participants. These signed frms will frm the basis f the check-in register f attendance at the track day and, where the track day is being run n a sessined basis, prvisinal categrisatin f drivers by the L7C int relative ability gruped sessins fr nvice r inexperienced, intermediate and experienced track day drivers. The L7C reserves the right t change the drivers allcated t any particular sessin fr any reasn prir t and during the event. 4.2 Registratin Will cmmence upn arrival at the event, usually frm 7.30am nwards unless therwise stated in jining instructins fr the event: Each Participant (including Passengers) will be required t sign the L7C register f attendance with the Driver s Club membership number, and cnfirm the prvisin, t the L7C, f a cmpleted Disclaimer and Indemnity frm, a cmpleted Circuit Operatr Indemnity where prvided, and must als shw valid UK/DVLA (r equivalent) full drivers licence. Failure t cmplete any part f this Registratin prcess will prevent access t the Track withut a refund f any fee paid. Drivers will be infrmed at this stage f their allcated ability grup sessin. Wristbands and/r car identifying stickers (r equivalent) will be used as part f the Registratin prcess and will be used as the means f access cntrl t the track. ARDS instructr(s), rganised by the L7C t supprt the track day will, when present, be available t prvide instructin at all levels and may be bked at this time. Meeting instructins will be given in the briefing. Any arrivals nt previusly registered can be accepted during the day, subject t the sle discretin f the Duty Manager, verificatin f Club membership and address, payment f any fee due and subject t reading the L7C Operating Prcedures befre cmpleting the Registratin prcess, all frms and Briefing. 4.3 Briefing All Participants are required t attend a full briefing by the Club Duty Manager and /r the Circuit Operatr representative at the beginning f the day, and any intermediate r ad hc briefings during the day. Late arrivals must be registered and briefed by the Duty Manager befre accessing the track. The purpse f the briefing is t: Ensure all participants have understd the Operating Prcedures and related dcumentatin befrehand. Emphasise the imprtance f driving standards fr the safety and enjyment f participants, marshals, staff and guests.

Emphasise key pints frm the Operating Prcedures, and highlight any changes t Operating Prcedures fr the day. Brief n Circuit cmmunicatin during the day and any further briefings planned Prvide insights int the peratin, characteristics and cnditin f the circuit relevant t the day s activity. Highlight arrangements fr ARDS instructin and establish any further requests fr caching f newcmers t the circuit, r first time track day participants. 4.4 Sessins Fr mst L7C track day events, Drivers will be assigned t an ability-gruped sessin Red (experienced), Blue (intermediate) r Green (lesser experienced). Any request fr change may be cnsidered, but the decisin f the Club s Duty Manager t accept r refuse any such request will be final. Sessins will be perated as fllws: Each first Red/Blue/Green sessin will start at slw speed with a familiarisatin fllw my leader prcessin with n vertaking led by an ARDS instructr r ther experienced driver, t highlight turning, clipping and exit pints, general track cnditin, identificatin f marshal psts, etc. After three laps the Instructr s car will return t the pit lane and Participants may then cntinue at their discretin fr the remainder f the sessin. Thereafter sessins will cmmence at 20-minute intervals, with cars cngregating in the parc ferme r ther cllectin pint as directed in the briefing, 5 minutes prir t start time fr the sessin. The L7C may decide t perate an Open Pit Lane in lieu f sessins fr all r part f the day. The Duty Manager has sle discretin t mve t Open Pit Lane and t revert t Sessins at any time. The Duty Manager will ntify Participants f any changes t Sessins r Open Pit Lane peratin befrehand. 4.5 Overtaking Unless therwise indicated during the Briefing, this is allwed n the left nly. Failure t bey this rule will result in exclusin frm the track. In additin: Slwer cars are requested t mve t the right n straight sectins f track and t lift ff mmentarily t assist cmpletin f the vertaking maneuvre by the faster vehicle. N vertaking is allwed frm the cmmencement f braking int a bend until the exit frm the bend, unless clearly signalled therwise by the slwer car. The vertaking car is respnsible fr the vertaking maneuvre. All drivers are expected t mnitr rear view mirrrs n a frequent basis n straight sectins f track. Drivers deliberately blcking vertaking, r vertaking r therwise driving in a frceful manner will be reprted t the Duty Manager wh will decide what actin may be apprpriate, including exclusin frm the track withut recmpense t the Participants. 4.6 Marshalling Rescue, Retrieval and Medical Services will be prvided either by the Circuit Operatr r by the L7C. The use and meaning f flags (and light signals where prvided) will be explained in the Briefing and must be beyed by drivers.

4.7 Timing It is recgnised that sme cars may be fitted with integrated data lggers. Hwever, n frm racing r lap timing f Participants by rganisers r any grup f Participants is permitted. Participants may nt use timing infrmatin frm in car data lgger displays whilst driving. Review f a Participants wn stred data after cmpletin f the sessin is acceptable prvided the Participant uses this privately nly, in the pursuit f imprved driving technique with regard t crnering, braking, use f gears etc. Publicatin r sharing f lap times by the L7C is nt permitted at any time. 4.8 Prtective Persnal Equipment Participants are required t wear apprpriate prtective clthing as fllws: Crrectly fitting full-face crash helmet. Seat belts are t be fully tightened, with quick release buckles. Helmet clearance must exist belw the tp f the apprved specificatin rllver bar r rll cage. Arms and legs are t be cvered by strng clthing at all times (t assist with pssible extractin). Participants are strngly recmmended t use: Fully pressured 1.5kg Fire Extinguisher meeting BS4123 secured within the car within reach f the driver. 4 r 6-pint full harness seat belts, prperly adjusted and fastened. Nmex r similar flame resistant /retardant veralls r underwear. Apprpriate driving shes and glves t enhance car cntrl and fire prtectin. 4.9 Guest safety Drivers are respnsible fr ensuring that all f their guests are aware f the safety aspects that affect them, including the access areas they are restricted t. Children under 16 may be permitted as guests nly under adult supervisin with the agreement f the Duty Manager n a case-by-case basis. 5. Managing Risk t a Minimum fr Yurself and Others All Drivers are persnally and slely respnsible fr the running cnditin f their car, persnal safety equipment fr themselves and their Passengers, and fr their wn behaviur n circuit. Drivers agree t a system f Self Assurance, meeting the recmmended minimum (but nt exclusive) set f maintenance standards and the driving actins and behaviurs required f the Driver cntained thrughut this dcument. The L7C and the Circuit Operatr reserves the right withut appeal t refuse circuit access t any car, r Driver and his persnal equipment, that is cnsidered unfit fr track use. Ntwithstanding the freging, the wner and Driver remain slely respnsible and fully liable fr the safe cnditin and peratin f their car and the safety f themselves and thers. The L7C des nt accept any liability, direct r cnsequential, fr injury lss r damage caused r cntributed t by the cnditin f the car, r equipment r the driving f the Driver. Participants are encuraged t prmptly reprt any matters f cncern t them regarding safety immediately t the Duty Manager r Circuit Operatr representative. The fllwing pints derived frm a Risk Analysis by the L7C (a cpy f which can be requested upn reasnable ntice) sets ut the minimum Self Assurance

standards that Drivers agree t at the Registratin Prcess. Any additinal risks and apprpriate mitigating actins are the sle respnsibility f the Driver: Brake pads and discs Fluids Fuel Nise Bleed brakes r replace fluid befre Track day. Check fr brake pedal pressure befre each sessin. Check fr pad / she wear regularly. Check discs fr heat fracturing. Check fr gravel intrusin after "ff circuit" incident. Check water, Brake fluid and il levels befre each sessin. Pr emissins / vapur / fluid lss will result in remval frm track. Check fuel level befre departure - d nt verfill creating fuel surge verflw n braking r crnering. Check fr fuel leaks under car and in engine cmpartment befre each sessin. Static and r Drive by Nise Limits f the individual circuit must be met as previusly ntified n Bking Frm. There will be n appeal r refund if an ffending car is prevented frm access t, r remved frm, the circuit. Persnal Equipment Helmets, Seat belts fully tightened fr all Participants see Persnal Prtective Equipment sectin abve. Track surface and Track Debris Remain vigilant t changing track surface cnditin (e.g. rain r gravel). Reprt wn r ther s debris immediately t fficials. Eye prtectin fr all drivers. If yur car has entered a gravel trap, clear gravel frm chassis, brakes and mving parts befre returning t the track. Tape ver Mbile - Static Car impact lights. Mechanical failure - stp well ff track and well ff line if pssible. Driver behind barrier, Engine switched ff. Steering wheel left in psitin. Twing eye available. All drivers bserve Marshals Flag signals and lights as briefed. Car - Circuit impact Observe Circuit standards f safety, Armc, safe pit lane exit, briefing f "pints t nte" n circuit and surface cnditin.

Helmet MSA spec strngly recmmended. Rllbar padding in vulnerable areas. If car stps, leave car, stay behind barrier. D nt crss circuit unless signaled by marshal. Speed limit 20kph, pits 50kph, unless briefed therwise Remval f spare wheels and lse items, n hand held cameras. Fixed cameras nly with permissin f the L7C Duty Manager. Frequent use f mirrrs. Overtaking n left nly, Car in frnt has pririty in crners. N in car real time data t be used. Weather related grip and visibility Apprpriate tyres, meeting Rad E r MSA Blue bk standards. Dipped Headlights Lights (where fitted) and High Intensity Rears in Wet. Alchl and Drugs Circuit Driving Knwledge, Experience and Behaviur Cmmunicatin Participants must nt be under the influence f drink r drugs taken prir t the track day, and will nt cnsume alchl r drugs f any descriptin at any time during the track day. Use f any ver-the-cunter r prescriptin medicatin is t be declared t the check-in desk fr apprval befre accessing track. Attend Briefing. Seek instructin r caching n Circuit Lines use f pwer, brakes and steering frm ARDS instructrs r Club instructrs. Optinally, cnes t be placed at turning, clipping and exit pints. Driver curtesy a requirement (e.g. vertaking). All drivers t use mirrrs n straights, Faster drivers t give way t slwer drivers after braking zne cmmences befre crners until exit cmpleted. All Flag, lights and briefing instructins t be fllwed. All Cars t be numbered clearly fr Marshal identificatin. All Drivers are respnsible fr briefing guests n safe areas and prcedures (e.g. n smking). Attend any briefings in additin t the mrning briefing. Fire On Circuit Fire In Paddck/Pit Unauthrised Fuels Emergency Respnse Other unidentified risks Quick release Seat belt r Harness. Drivers strngly recmmended having minimum 1.5kg in car extinguishers (BS 4123) secured within reach f driver in seat. Nmex r similar fire resistant r retardant (under) clthing recmmended. Drivers required t cut ignitin and / r islating switch ff immediately after a cllisin r impact. N smking, naked flames r refuelling in cnfined r unventilated spaces.
