Introduction The control function provides all pin assignments and the routines for vehicle transport. External traffic lights on every level and for each side of the door guide entrance into the car. 3 sensors record the vehicle s position in the car. Evaluating them keeps the driver informed on the position of the driver s vehicle using signal lamps in the car. A A external traffic light with a green and red signal lamp B C B C signal lamps in the car to keep the driver informed: sensors for recording the vehicle s position B A NOTES: uses solely the button or full collective control type. You have to set <<automatic doors with limit switch>> in the door table. The <<>> function is not available in group operation. Only the combination of sides and 2 of the door or the combination of sides and 3 of the door are acceptable on levels with 2 door sides for lifts with 3 door sides. That means that sides 2 and 3 of the door cannot be on one level at the same time. 200-06- 3
2 s in the Car The <<FRONT>>, <<MIDDLE>> and <<REAR>> sensors in the car record the vehicle s position. NOTES: Please bear the following in mind when installing and adjusting the sensors to correctly record the vehicle s position:. the active zones of the sensors may not overlap. 2. make sure when selecting the active zones of the sensors that the largest vehicle to be transported does not activate all 3 sensors at once (refer to Figure ). 3. the inactive zones between the sensors may not be larger than the dimensions of the smallest vehicle to be transported (refer to Figure 2). 4. The <<FRONT>> sensor is always assigned to side of the door Please bear this in mind when mounting the sensor If the <<FRONT>> or <<REAR>> sensors report an object in the monitored zone: the doors can still close (door closing can only be prevented with a door reversing unit such as a photo cell). the lift cannot move and these sensors are not monitored during travel. 3 How it Functions 3. Rest Operation There is rest operation when all landing commands have been processed and the car is empty. The following takes place in rest operation: the landing and car commands are cleared. the outside traffic lights on the open accesses are set to green and the outside traffic lights on the accesses are set to red. From program version Lift 4H 2.27 you can switch off the signals with a delay (see function <<Signals off at rest>> in chapter 4.3). the traffic light changes from green to red when its door closes. If only one access is opened, its inside traffic light is set to. If several doors are open or all doors are closed, all inside traffic lights are turned off. 3.2 symbol explanation: signal lamp on (car) signal lamp off (car) signal lamp on (external) signal lamp off (external) entrance correct: 200-06- 5

3.3 Person transport NOTE The program only supports activating passenger transport with an input terminal to version Lift 4H2.22 (refer to Chapter 3.3.) The following takes place from program version Lift 4H2.23: passenger transport does not have to be separately activated and is always available next to vehicle transport the internal commands are always cleared. Please follow the specifications in Chapter 3.3.2 for controlling outside traffic lights. 3.3. Activating via Input Note! This function is supported only to version Lift 4H2.22. You can switch vehicle transport over to person transport. Set the <<Person transport>> input to +24 VDC for switch-over (refer to Chapter 4.2) and keep the input set for the period of transport. <<FRONT>>: in function <<MIDDLE>>: without function <<REAR>>: in function The following is done during person transport: the car calls are released the landing calls are stored the landing calls are no longer edited all outside traffic lights are switched to all inside traffic lights are turned off the <<FRONT>> sensor is monitored the <<MIDDLE>> sensor is not monitored the <<REAR>> sensor is monitored 200-06- 7
3.3.2 Querying s for Traffic Light Control NOTE The specifications apply to the program from Version Lift 4H2.23! The program sets the outside traffic lights to passenger transport when the following switching order of sensors is recognised:. all sensors are inactive 2. the <<FRONT>> or <<REAR>> sensors become active 3. all sensors are inactive again 4. the <<MIDDLE>> sensor becomes active The program ends traffic light control for passenger transport if: the <<FRONT>> or <<REAR>> sensors become active two sensors become active simultaneously <<FRONT>>: in function <<MIDDLE>>: in function <<REAR>>: in function The following is done during person transport: the landing calls are stored the landing calls are no longer edited all outside traffic lights are switched to all inside traffic lights are turned off all sensors are monitored 8 200-06-
4 Menu Functions 4. Output Functions BST-Outputs Signal RED You connect the red signal lamp of the external traffic light to this terminal. The signal lamp shows No Entrance. This terminal function is also available as network output. BST-Outputs Signal GREEN You connect the green signal lamp of the external traffic light to this terminal. The signal lamp shows Entrance Allowed. This terminal function is also available as network output. Net-Outputs Signal FORWARD You connect the signal lamp in the car to this terminal. The signal lamp shows the vehicle driver the direction of travel. This terminal function is also available as BST output. Net-Outputs Signal BACKWARD You connect the signal lamp in the car to this terminal. The signal lamp shows the vehicle driver the direction of travel. This terminal function is also available as a BST output. Net-Outputs Signal STOP You connect the signal lamp in the car to this terminal. The signal lamp tells the vehicle driver to stop. This terminal function is also available as a BST output. Net-Outputs Signal DRIVE You connect the signal lamp in the car to this terminal. The signal lamp requests that the driver drive out of the car. The vehicle driver can select any direction of travel. This terminal function is also available as a BST output. NOTES: Please remember that you need two outputs for the external traffic lights at each access. you need as many as four outputs for the signal lamps in the car on each side of the door. 200-06- 9
4.2 Input Functions BST-Inputs A +24VDC signal at the input activates. You only need this input if you have specified the <<via terminal>> reading under << / Vehicle transport / Activation>>. This terminal function is also available as network input. BST-Inputs Person transport A +24 VDC signal at the input activates person transport. The terminal function is also available as network input. Note: This input is only queried when vehicle transport has been activated. The input is only supported by the program to version Lift4H2.22! Net-Inputs Net-Inputs Net-Inputs car FRONT car MIDDLE car REAR You connect the sensors in the car to these terminals. The terminal functions are also available as BST inputs. NOTE: Please remember that you always mount the <<FRONT>> sensor on side of the door 4.3 Activation You can use this setting to define when the <<>> function is active. The setting options are: <<NO>>: <<>> is never active. <<YES>>: <<>> is always active. <<via terminal>>: <<>> is active when +24VDC is on the <<>> input terminal.
