C L C L Installation: Prepare Ceiling Installation: Standard Suspension A LIGHTING DIRECTION SAMPLE DRAWING 1 See Final/Record Drawings for Mounting Locations See final/record drawings for mounting locations. Install framing or 1/4-20 ceiling rods with consideration for alignment of wiring and mounting locations. 4A Install Ceiling Fitting - Framing Ceiling Fittings may be installed directly into framing with appropriate hardware. A ELECTRICAL WIRING: T MUST SAMPLE DRAWING 2 Install Canopy J-Box Install 4 square/octagonal Canopy J-Box (sold separately) at power feed location per final/record drawing. 4B Install Ceiling Fitting - Toggle Bolts Ceiling Fittings may also be mounted using toggle bolts. ELECTRICAL WIRING: MUST 3 Install Remote Driver J-Box Install remote driver J-Box(es) in an accessible/ serviceable location. Connect to building power, and run low voltage wire from Remote Driver J-Box to Canopy J-Box in accordance with local/state/federal regulations. 4C Install Ceiling Fitting - 1/4-20 Threaded Rods Ceiling Fittings may also be mounted on 1/4-20 Threaded Rods. Installation: Standard Suspension (Cont.) 5 Route Suspension Cable and Attach to Ceiling Route Suspension Cable through Suspension Bullet. Ball end should sit in Suspension Bullet. Screw Suspension Bullet to Ceiling Fitting. 8 Raise Fixture to Suspension Cables Raise fixture to Suspension Cables, and attach fixture by inserting Suspension Cable through Cable Grippers. 6" 6 Cut Suspension Cables to Desired Length 9 Adjust Suspension Cable Length Use wire snips or shears to cut Suspension Cables to desired length. Keep an extra 6 inches of cable for adjustments. Adjust fixture until it is level and at desired height. Depress top of Cable Gripper to lower fixture. Keep fixture supported while lowering. Installation: Central Axis Suspension (CAS) SAMPLE DRAWING 11A Mount Canopy Bracket to J-Box & Secure Canopy Mount Canopy Bracket to J-Box using provided screws, then secure Canopy over J-Box with finial. CAUTION: Do not pinch wire connections. 13 Prepare Ceiling & Join Fixture Sections Follow steps 1-3 to prepare ceiling. (Install framing, Canopy J-Box, and Remote Driver J-Box, then install wiring from Remote Driver J-Box to Canopy J-Box). See steps 28-33 to connect fixture sections.! DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while installing canopy. 11B Combo Canopy Installation Mount Canopy Bracket to J-Box using provided screws, then secure Canopy over J-Box with finial. Attach bullet (with cable) to canopy. CAUTION: Do not pinch wire connections. 14 Route Suspension Cable through Cable Coupler Route Suspension Cable through Cable Coupler. Ball end should sit in Coupler. Set aside. 12 Turn Power On Turn breaker ON and check if fixture operates as intended and that there are no loose connections. 15 Install Canopy Bracket Install the threaded rod to the Canopy Bracket, then install Canopy Bracket to the Canopy J-Box. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. 16 Raise Fixture to J-Box & Connect Wiring Bring wiring and canopy assembly to Canopy J-box. Refer to page 11 and final/record drawing to make wiring connections. Strain relief connection. Ensure Power is OFF prior to connecting wiring. 19 Raise Fixture to Suspension Cables Raise fixture to suspension cables, and attach fixture by inserting suspension cable through cable grippers.! DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while installing canopy. 17 Secure Canopy Secure Canopy over J-Box with Cable Coupler. CAUTION: Do NOT pinch wires between J-Box/Canopy/ceiling surface. 20 Adjust Suspension Cable Length Adjust fixture until it is level and at desired height. Depress top of Cable Gripper to lower fixture. Keep fixture supported while lowering. Cut excess cable. 6" 18 Cut Suspension Cables to Desired Length Use wire snips or shears to cut Suspension Cables to desired length. Keep an extra 6 inches of cable for adjustments. 21 Turn Power On Turn breaker ON and check if fixture operates as intended and that there are no loose connections. Installation: Surface Mount (Back) SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. SAMPLE DRAWING 22 Install Mounting Brackets Follow steps 1-3 to prepare ceiling. (Install framing, Canopy J-Box, and Remote Driver J-Box, then install wiring from Remote Driver J-Box to Canopy J-Box). Install surface mount brackets directly to framing according to final/ record drawing. 25 Connect Low Voltage Wiring Connect low voltage wiring inside Remote J-Box and strain relief connection. Refer to page 11 and final/record drawing to make wiring connections. Ensure Power is OFF prior to connecting wiring. 23 Join Fixture Sections & Bring Fixture to Ceiling Follow steps 28-33 to join fixture sections. Bring fixture close to ceiling and align Ceiling Mount Brackets on fixture with Cleat Bosses. Ensure wiring location is correct. 26 Tighten Set Screws Tighten set screws using a 1/16 hex key. To Remote Driver 24 Feed Wiring to Remote Driver Feed wiring through the grommet on cover plate and route through ceiling to Remote Driver. 27 Turn Power On Turn breaker ON and ensure that fixture operates as intended and that there are no loose connections. Installation: Connecting Multiple Sections 28 Remove Cover Carefully remove metal cover to expose joiner sections. 31 Tighten Joiner Screws Tighten joiner screws, as shown, using a 5/64 Hex Key. Ensure each section is properly aligned, and that there are no gaps between sections. 29 Extend Joining Bar Loosen set screws on Joining Bar and extend, as shown. 32 Connect Wiring Between Sections Connect wiring quick-connects between sections. Match each color, as shown. NOTE: Color combinations may vary.! DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching cover.! DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching cover. 30 Align Sections & Join Align sections and join, as shown. CAUTION: Take care not to pinch wires. 33 Re-install Cover & Install Light Leak Band Re-install each metal cover, and install Light Leak Band at each joined section (over unilluminated sides), as shown. Troubleshooting Only a certified electrician can service and troubleshoot product field issues. Always turn main power off before servicing fixture. Full Fixture does not illuminate Ensure all wire connections are made. Ensure fixture is wired correctly and power is on. Check that circuit breaker is on and not off or tripped. Class 2 LED remote driver may be defective. Fixture section(s) do not illuminate Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards or from LED driver to LED boards. Some fixtures contain multiple LED drivers. In this case, it s possible one of the drivers is defective, which will cause the LED connected to the driver not to illuminate. Call tech support. Full fixture is flickering 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information. Possible loose DATA + and - connections from fixture to 0-10V, DMX, or DALI control. Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection from driver to LED. Call customer support. Fixture section(s) are flickering Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards. Fixture does not dim 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TEST. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information.
