Fabri-Valve SV1 - Push Through Slurry Valve The Fabri-Valve SV1 Push-Through Slurry Valve is one of the most versatile knife gate valve configurations available. The SV1 can be used in many applications ranging from clear liquid to heavy slurry. The SV1 works by placing two identical seats in each half of the body. When the SV1 is bolted to its mating flanges, and the gate is in the open position, the seats compress together forming the pressure boundary of the valve. When the SV1 is cycled from the open to the closed position, the gate slides between the two seats, forming a seal between the gate and the up-stream seat as well as between the gate and the down-stream seat. The SV1 utilizes a patent pending guillotine gate which effectively slices through media versus the designs that simply push through. The guillotine gate also eliminates the need for lubrication. The SV1 incorporates UHMW gate support liners that support the gate through the entire stroke, practically eliminating the possibility of the gate cutting the seats during closure. Advantages 150 psi CWP (10.3 Bar) Pressure Rating for ALL Sizes Pressure rating does not decrease with increase in valve size. True Full Port Design The SV1 s Internal Diameter (ID) matches class 150 pipe ID s for full, unobstructed flow and maximum flow coefficients. UHMW Gate Support Liner The gate is fully guided throughout the entire stroke; reducing downstream gate deflection, which prevents the seat from being cut by the gate. Shields the valve body from direct contact with media when the valve is being stroked. UHMW s low coefficient of friction reduces required actuation force. Guillotine Gate (patent pending) Inhibits the collection of seat rubber at the 6 o clock position when cycling closed. Prevents seat tearing. Longer seat life. Allows for a sharper knife edge which reduces external discharge. Eliminates the need for lubrication of the seats. EPDM Seat / Sleeves Proprietary engineered polymer seats reduce friction and increase seat life. Seat lubrication is not required thus reducing maintenance. SV1 with Hand Wheel shown. Also available with Bevel Gear Actuator, Air Cylinder, Hydraulic Cylinder, or Electric Actuator. -2-

Fabri-Valve SV1 Design Bi-directional shut-off with zero downstream leakage. Rubber lined port with no metallic components in the media flow path. No chest cavity for solids to build-up and bind the gate. Heavy duty self-supporting yoke. (Standard with double acting air cylinder and manually actuated valves.) Standard yokes accept manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuation for easy conversion in the field. Lockouts in the open and closed position (standard). Rod boots (standard) protect the actuation in harsh environments. Media does not contact the gate in the fully open position. Integrated load distribution rings ensure proper seat support independent of the type of mating flange. Load distribution rings (polymer encapsulated) eliminate the need for gaskets. Testing includes a seat test and shell test, plus a cycling test, to insure proper functioning of moving parts. Additional testing is also available. Please let us know your requirements. Shell test: The valve assembly is hydro tested at 15 psig (1 bar) and 1.5 times the rated CWP (Cold Working Pressure) with the valve ends sealed and the valve gate in the fully open position. Visually detectable leakage through pressure boundary walls is not allowed. Dual resilient seat test: The valve assembly is hydro tested at 15 psig (1 bar) and the valve assembly s rated CWP on each side of the fully closed valve. Visually detectable leakage across the seat is not allowed. -3-
