These actuators are epoxy and Rilsan coated for high corrosion resistance and long cycling life. Normal working temperatures are - o C to 90 o C. They may be actuated with air, water, natural gas or nonaggressive fluids up to 0 psi pressure. P Series is one in a range of actuators specially selected for ball and butterfly valves. Hardware kits are available for mounting of actuators in the field. Chemline also offers complete actuated valves, fully assembled and bench tested. PA Series Pneumatic Actuators Self Lubricating Rilsan Coating Double O-Ring Shaft Seals Standard ISO Bolt Pattern for mounting to valve Self Lubricating O-Rings PROPERTIES OF THE COATING PROCESS The aluminium actuator bodies and end caps undergo a 4-step pre-treatment to guarantee a perfect finish and superior corrosion resistance. The next step is painting by cationic electro deposition (cataphoresis). A 0 micron layer of hydro soluble priming paint is applied to create the smoothest possible base coat for the Rilsan coating. OPERATION Pressure to Port A moves pistons inward, turning output shaft 90 o clockwise, as viewed from top of actuator. Pressure to Port B moves pistons outward, compressing springs (on spring return models only) and turning output shaft 90 o counter-clockwise, as viewed from top of actuator. The final step is the application of a 0 micron thick coat of Rilsan polyamide. Rilsan is a fully polymerized thermoplastic which provides outstanding corrosion resistance to effluents, sea water, sea mist, hydrocarbons, solvents and a large number of chemicals. It has excellent mechanical and physical properties, exceptionally smooth finish, extremely low friction coefficient which ensure a longer cycling life than competitors products. Its complement of features includes a reinforced polyamide body; nitrile seals and o-rings; nickel plated ports and mounting hardware; epoxy encapsulated coil; threaded actuator and pilot vent ports; manual override; easy AC/DC interchangeability; low minimum main air line pressure operation due to high Cv factor; breather block capability; multi-million cycle life and -pin DIN connection in conduit, grommet and LED grommet versions.0-0vac/60- Hz supplied standard; 0-VAC/60-Hz, VAC, 4VAC, VDC, 4VDC and explosion-proof units also available on request. PLSYT4 is a CSA-approved -position limit switch box designed for standoff mounting to any VDI/VDE845 (NAMUR) compliant rotary actuator. Its complement of features includes a quick-access cover; high visibility position indicator/beacon; compact design; quick-setting switch cams; million-cycle single-pole double-throw switches; dual electrical inlets for solenoid and/or ground connections; vapor-tightneess and submersibility. It is most effective in on-off applications on spring-return actuators but is available with any number of options, including hazardous area enclosures, intrinsical safety, reed or inductive proximity switches and BUS communication modules. F/R-A is an effective -piece air filter/regulator with pressure gauge. Its complement of features includes a brass body; Acetal valve components; Nitrile bushings/o-rings; polycarbonate filter bowl and polyethylene filter element; manual filter bowl drain valve. It is available with x /8" gauge ports so the gauge can be oriented correctly, regardless of airflow direction. The additional port is capped off. MO-Series is a manual declutchable gear override designed to fit between any ISO-compliant valve and rotary actuator. It offers simple and reliable manual positioning of valves, dampers and other quarter-turn devices when overriding existing pneumatic actuators. All MO units are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and combine rugged construction, light weight and modular design to provide the most efficient and cost-effective solution to a full range of manual override requirements. The self-locking worm gear design means safe and easy operation, positive manual positioning and extremely long life. The MO-series override can be adapted to any quarter-turn actuator and may even be installed in the field on existing valves. POS-Series positioners are designed to mount directly to any VDI/VDE845 (NAMUR) compliant rotary actuator. Its complement of features includes die-cast aluminum enclosure; inlets for electrical, air and gauge connections; visual position indication; and a temperature rating of -0ºC to 70ºC. It is available in - 5 psi pneumatic, 4-0 ma electro-pneumatic, digital or BUS communication versions. It can be fitted with extra mechanical or proximity switches and a potentiometer for position feedback.
PA Series Accessories END CAP TRAVEL STOPS Two adjustable bolts are integrated into the actuator end caps and act as travel stops for the open travel only. These bolts act as stops for both pistons to apply balanced stopping pressure and are adjustable for the full length of travel. INTEGRAL TRAVEL STOPS Two adjustable bolts are integrated into the actuator body and act as travel stops for both the open and close travel. These bolts act as stops for a cam mounted onto the output shaft and are adjustable for the last 5 degrees of travel. RETAINED SPRING SET The Retained Spring Set is used to keep the spring sets from overextending and causing a sudden release of spring tension during actuator end cap removal, which could lead to actuator damage or personal injury. This system is available as an option only on larger actuators, where the spring tension is greater and an added safety factor can be favourable.
