Project Timeline 9

Shared Mobility Hubs Ideas requested: What needs would a shared mobility hub serve? How can hubs advance electrification? What amenities should hubs have? How can the benefits of hubs be shared equitably? Two anticipated shared mobility hub typologies: Park and Rides Transit Centers What transportation modes apply and where? Whose role is it to develop these hubs? Technical inputs from consultant team: Grid integration and electricity demand Mapping and gap analysis 10 Richmond Transit Village. Best Practices Tool Box Ideas requested: What user groups are we missing? Audience Types: Municipal, County, and local staff Policymakers What groups should we prioritize? What would you like to see in a toolkit? What types of things would you do with a toolkit? What are similar toolkits that you like? (does not need to be transportation- or energy-related) Property owners Installers, industry partners Consultant team will leverage: Recent work guiding Electrify America on electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) deployment 11 EV policy database developed for USDN and other clients Expertise across EVSE siting, deployment, management, shared mobility, and emerging technologies Pricing strategies Siting considerations Role and responsibility matrix

Next Generation EV Best Practices Research Electric shared mobility strategies Siting considerations Strategies and emerging business models for private electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) deployment New technology and grid integration strategies Strategies to prioritize equity Best practices for incorporating EVs into the municipal fleet Best practices for municipal management of EVSE Education, Outreach, and Communications Codes and Permitting Models for city engagement, partnerships, and policy w.r.t. Transportation Network Companies, autonomous vehicles and charging, electric bicycles and scooters Best practices on siting EV charging stations, including visibility and accessibility, power supply, ADA access, security, curbside parking, streetlight charging, etc. In residential, multifamily, workplace, and public settings, including city-led EVSE development and strategies to enable others to install EVSE Public private partnerships and other innovative financing Such as battery storage, renewable energy, wireless, streetlight, charging management systems, and bidirectional charging. Best practices for extending the benefits of EVs to all including equitable access, reducing air pollution, and increasing economic opportunities. Low Carbon Fuel Standard credits, strategies for managing charging, procurement options, synergies with other alternative transportation efforts, and new or complementary technologies. Parking and charging fees, enforcement, and other policies Signage for EV parking spaces and general wayfinding Best practices in engagement with residents, employers, and other constituents to support EV adoption and EVSE investment Best practices for local governments around codes and permitting to ensure EV infrastructure can be efficiently deployed and utilized 12

Workforce Training Initiative Ideas requested: What similar types of programs have worked well? Not well? Why? What are lessons-learned from similar types of programs? What topics should be covered in classes? EV Mechanics Audiences: Electricians What entities should we be working with? Are there other implementation resources we should take advantage of? Funding? Training networks? 13 We ll be using these resources: Similar programs in the Bay Area Experience and expertise from STG Workforce Training Steering Committee

How does transportation electrification affect you? Your departments may be affected by trends including Autonomous vehicles Ridesharing / Ridesourcing / TNCs E-bikes and scooters New EV charging technologies & business models Impacts on affordability Opportunities for cleaner air in polluted neighborhoods and What goals does your organization have around electric vehicles?
