Items in Box Page 1 of 4 BEFORE YOU GET STARTED: Begin installation of the Perfect Sit & Sleep Cover Set only after you have completed assembly of your futon frame (if you have mattress retainers installed on your Seat Section, remove them before continuing). Secondly, you can steam and/or iron press your cover components but be VERY CAREFUL such as use a cloth, low temperature, and only press on the wrong side of the fabric particularly important for leather fabrics. STEP 1: Adhere Velcro to Front & Back Stretcher Rails Gradually remove the Velcro adhesive protective liner and adhere the Velcro to the outside of a Stretcher Rail by aligning the top edge of the Velcro with the top edge of the Stretcher Rail. It works the best by starting at one end and pull away a few inches of the adhesive liner and press the Velcro to the rail. Continue this process until you reach the other end. Repeat for the other Stretcher Rail. Velcro Front Skirt to Front Stretcher Rail. ITEMS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION: (no pleats if chair) if chair, no pillows Perfect Cover (1piece) Perfect Front Skirt (1piece) Coil Inserts (2 pieces) Pillows (2 pieces) Foam (4 pieces) Velcro (2 pieces) Velcro already adhered to Front Rail Assembled Futon Frame (1 piece) (arm style will vary based on your selection) chair frame if chair
Assembly Page 2 of 4 STEP 2: Insert Coil Inserts (If you have a chair, simply insert coils and skip rest of this step) Identify the Coil Insert for the Back Cover Section by noting it has two holes. The other Coil Insert is for the Seat Cover Section. Spread the Perfect cover quilted side down on a clean surface. Insert first the Seat Coil Insert (no holes) into the Seat Cover Section coil casing (distinguished by the attachment of five velcro straps). For easier closing and best results, hand compress the Coil Insert as you zip to close. Insert one foam piece at each end. Insert the Back Coil Insert (with the 2 holes) "farthest" from the zipper into the Back Cover Section black coil casing (distinguished by the attached Back Flap/Skirt and two Back Straps on the each of the inside seams). Pull the each Back Strap through the both holes (bottom to top) in the Back Coil Insert and through the "button hole" in the Black Coil casing. For easier closing and best results, hand compress the Coil Insert as you zip to close. Insert one piece of foam at each end of the Coil Insert.
Assembly Page 3 of 4 STEP 3: Put Cover with Coil Inserts On Frame Note: This step is best completed with the help of another person. Place your frame in the sitting position. Pick up the Cover with the coils inserted and set in the frame with the back flap going over the Back Section. Lift up the Seat Section to get the seat flap to go under the Seat Section. STEP 4: Secure cover to Frame Seat Section Note: This step is best completed with the help of another person. Stand in front of your frame and lift the seat section exposing the underside of the seat. There are five (if chair, two) Seat Straps attached to the seat cover that need to be wrapped around the seat back long rail of the seat section and then velcroed snuggly. See picture and diagram.
Assembly Page 4 of 4 STEP 5: Secure Cover to Frame Back Section (if chair, skip this step) Stand at the back of your frame and carefully lift the Back Flap/Skirt to expose the two Back Straps. It helps to have another person hold up the Back Flap/Skirt so the other person can use both hands to secure the Back Straps. Wrap each Back Strap under three wires and then back over two wires and secure the velcro. Please see the picture. STEP 6: Velcro Back Cover to Back Stretcher Rail Squat at the back of your frame and press the Velcro on the inside of the Back Skirt to the Velcro previously adhered to the back Stretcher Rail in Step 2 as shown in the diagram. The Back Flap will be a bit loose to accommodate conversion to the sleeping position Congratulations!!! Installation Complete
