Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension Pomona/Atlantic Station Parking The 266-space parking structure opens to the public on April 16, 2010. MTA Media Relations will issue a press release announcing the opening to all media outlets with an emphasis in East Los Angeles, Montebello, Monterey Park and surrounding communities. Banners will be placed at the temporary parking lots directing Metro patrons to the new Atlantic Station parking structure, as the temporary parking lots will be closed after April 15, 2010 Gold Line 3

I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project Status Field work: Pothole work for design will be completed in mid-may. Drainage CCTV and cleaning is on-going and expected to be completed by the end of April 2010. Re-stripe of the N/B 405 freeway is now completed. Re-stripe of the S/B 405 will start in one week and will take 16 days to complete the work. Saw-cut and Grinding of the existing pavement will be completed end of May. 16
I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project Status Field work: K-Rail installation is scheduled tentatively to start this week and will continue for two (2) months Sunset Bridge demo prep work is tentatively scheduled to start by mid-may and the actual bridge demo will be the end of April Sewer relocation at VA is scheduled to start April 19, 2010 Pile driving work for Wilshire Bridge 6A (SB 405 to EB Wilshire will begin May 03, 2010) Utility under-grounding work will begin later this month and will be completed in one (1) month. Under grounding of DWP overhead power lines on Sepulveda Blvd. between Montana Ave. and Sunset Blvd., started in March. Church Lane widening (between Sunset Blvd. and Sepulveda Blvd.) planned to occur in April. Sunset Bridge demolition (half at a time) planned to occur in May. 17

Coordinated Elected Official Briefing, monthly Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting and a quarterly meeting. Also, additional meetings with The Getty Center, Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy, LADWP, Bus Operations, Westwood Recreation Center and Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority. 19

I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project Status Potential issues and path forward: Westwood Hills Task Force Tolling Agreement to avoid a lawsuit Project staff in negotiations with the Westwood Hills Task Force regarding the impact of realigning Sepulveda Blvd and impacts to adjacent residential properties. A mitigation plan has been presented and an agreement is anticipated by April of 2010. MWD 96 waterline Kiewit Pacific submitted a Value Engineering (VE) proposal to realign the freeway that would allow the MWD water line to remain in place. The VE is presently being reviewed by project staff. 23
I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project Status Potential issues and path forward: (cont d) GSA (Federal Building at Wilshire) Metro continues to coordinate with GSA on utility identification and location; continued clarification of property and project alignment. Kiewit Pacific continued work on design of ramp bridges in this area. County of L.A. 12x12 Drainage Structure Kiewit has been developing options for protect in place alternatives for the Box; Metro is asking for solutions that include Box Relocation and/or Replacement. The responsibilities belong to the Contractor. The path forward for the 12x12 box between Constitution Ave. and Moraga Dr., is to be left in place and designed around and protected in place. May want to explain the path forward in your area; it is relocate foundation. 24

Expo Line Transit Project February 2010 Summary of Jobs Program Activities LOCAL JOBS PROGRAM KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS Local residents worked a total of 35.7% of the construction work hours in February 2010 and a total of 25.1% of all construction work hours on the project to date. The contractor projects that they will meet the 30% goal of construction hours worked by local residents. Local residents comprised 30% of all workers on the project in February 2010. 143 of the 477 workers utilized on the project in the month of February were local residents.
