Important! Read Before Purchasing!! Before you decide to buy please load and read a free sample in order to test how the photos are displayed on your device. It is important that you understand how this photo book works, what the author s intentions are and in general the specific features of ebooks. Slotdevil s Slot Car Photo Book is an interactive ebook that loads the images from the Internet. It is not a standard book i.e. that can be read offline. It can only be fully used on devices that can access the internet and have ebook Reader software that can process hyperlinks. Regular ebooks are normally not suitable for a proper photo book: The high-resolution graphics are embedded in the book file causing the overall file size to be huge. Slotdevil s Slot Car Photo Book with its 1225 photos would create a huge book file taking about 30 minutes load. For this reason I decided to go a completely different route and create an ebook that is different than any other I have seen to date. I have only included one picture of each car in a decent size and resolution in Slotdevil s photo book. All other images are small, space-saving thumbnails in very low resolution. When you click on these pictures the Reader or Reader software should open the link in a browser. This then loads the image from the Internet in full resolution and allows you to use any picture viewer technology you like. For this reason the photo book only works 100% when the reader has a working Internet connection and can process the hyperlinks in the book. Some simple ebook readers such as all Kindle Paperwhite function properly (even surprisingly well). Nevertheless as a small black and white unit it is not the ideal device for a photo book with over 1000 color photos. There are cell (smart) phones and ebook reader software that cannot process the hyperlinks embedded in text. These currently include (as of October 2015) all Tolino-readers and, unfortunately, all original Tolino apps even though they run on devices with high-resolution screens. When asked, Tolino stated that they could possibly change this in a future release. If you are using a Tolino-reader or a Tolino app we strongly recommend you not buy the photo book. The photo book is ideally stored on a PC, tablet or smartphone with a high resolution display with Reader software for EPUB, MOBI or PDF files. It is intended to be used as a reference
book, for example for collectors: The cars can be viewed from all sides, some with mechanical details and interior. This is supported not only on PCs at home but also anywhere on the go with your smartphone, tablet or notebook as long as you have access to the Internet for example using a SIM card. You can now comfortably assess the quality and originality of an alleged ebay good deal at home and call up details in seconds at flea markets and swap meets to check on how the car was originally delivered from the factory. Each and every picture in the photo book, whether big or small, is connected via hyperlink with a photo in higher resolution on the Internet. This applies not only to the photos but also for the diagrams and schematics with part numbers. If your readers and / or reader software supports the full range of functions, then it will open a browser window when you click or tap on the image you want and download the high-resolution original image.
