NORWAY: AVAILABLE INCENTIVES FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE BUYERS/OWNERS. Buying or leasing: No purchase tax Zero VAT Owning: Low annual road tax 50 % company car tax Federal Level Buyers of BEVs pay no tax and no VAT on purchase. Tax regime for gasoline- and dieselcar is quite high compared to other countries. The tax/vat advantages for BEVs is guaranteed to last until 2020. Parliament: It should always be economically beneficial to choose zero emission before high emission By September 2017, the incentives has secured a sale of 120.000 BEVs in Norway so far.
